OK — amazing traditional Cuban coffees with cafeteria-style walk-up window for pastries, croquettes and empanadas — all decent. Always bustling busy. I love having a latin café(teria) a few blocks from my house. A neighborhood joint where you’re recognized right away. Love the idea of being a regular somewhere that isnt a bar! Open for every meal 7 days a week with outdoor seating where they allow me to bring Journey, my dog. However — food is inconsistent, not fresh or high quality at all, greasy, always a mistake with takeout orders — but if bread, grease, carbs, fried, meat & potatoes; cheap is your thing — and i think it’s everyone’s thing at least every now and again — then this is the place to go. Portions large and prices low! I do not recommend the lunch buffet at all. Very little English spoken here which doesn’t bother me much since i was born/raised in Miami plus it adds to that international flare. Definitely feels like you’re dining in a foreign country which is one of my fave parts of going there. Ample parking. Breakfast good. Cheap. They will pretty much make whatever you want. I loveeee their fresh-squeezed orange juice and french fries.

Awesome coffee. Get the Cuban one with cream and then dump sugar in it. Huffed two of these. Rest of the breakfast was meh. Eggs were decent but hash brown and bacon was room temp.

We really need to band together to force bad restaurants to close. There are simply too many shitty restaurants in Miami. This is one of them. Old cold bacon, cold stale toast… Should I continue? I mean how hard is it to make toast and bacon. And I forgot to mention the service is even worse.

Should be half a star. Horrible service. Ordered an appetizer and the waitress forgot to put the order in. Food was cold because«ops she forgot to get it» on time. The other waitress are really nice but we got the lazy one! The waitress was rude when I asked why 20% was added as a tip when it wasn’t before. Didn’t leave a tip! This waitress won the award of being the worst! They need to retrain their staff on customer service! I would not recommend this place!

Love their café con leche, passionfruit smoothies, and pastries. The to-go window is super convenient and perfect for breakfast on the go or midday pick me up. If it was not for lunch I would give them 4 stars. The lunch was only ok and they did not have a wide variety of cuban food. That being said there is almost never a wait for sit down meal.

We walked in around 11:45, pretty busy time granted. All the tables were dirty and there were about 6 open tables, so I was confused. A local told the waitress to clean my table, still more confused. We sat down and a dirty table. They came to clean 5 min later. Other people came in did the same, then they stood up and left. Ok table cleaned, coffee and food ordered, the table that sat down after us gets served first, ok, but our food came shortly. Service was not great, the waitress’ switched, no napkins, they cleaned our table and took our coffee we were drinking, we are still trying to get our bill… on a positive note, the food was tasty. I would come back again, but certainly not in a rush. Hey our bill is $ 15, maybe I’ll come back sooner.

Food is awesome. Everything on the menu taste delicious. Been coming here for years and the only reason I keep coming back is because of the food because the service sucks! The only good waiter is the young guy that’s there and the girls at the bar.

Because of the reviews about the slow service, we went to the Señor Café with trepidation. We had excellent, friendly service and the food was fantastic. I had the best Cubano I’ve ever eaten and the flan and cortadito coffee was excellent. If I lived in Florida — I’m from California — I would be a regular.

I finally got around to writing a review for one of the best Cuban spots in South Florida. South Florida is filled with Cuban food, but i must say Señor Café is on the top of my list. Do not let the name fool you — this is not only a place to get authentic Cuban coffee, the food is also spectacular. Very original, and authentic. I am 100% Cuban so I’ve had my fair share of good and bad Cuban food — so this review is as real as it will get. Señor Café is as BOMBA as it gets!!! I have to say the churrasco with chimichurri is the best it gets. For the price, fast and polite service, and quality cut of meat — its unbeatable in south Florida. I would have to say the churrasco doesn’t even need the chimichurri complement which goes so well with that specific cut of meat. The meat is A1 and did not need anything added once served. no extra salt or spices. the chef does it right time and time again. The quality of food is what keeps me coming back. AND I LIVEINMIAMI! Its worth the drive every time. Almost forgot to mention — the vibe is very relaxed here. Everyone is very nice. Whether you are looking for a great longer meal or a quick lunch señor café can come through for you for whatever your needs are.

Went to Señor Café for the Caja China last Wednesday, and it is a must-go. I’m 100% Cuban(both parents born in Cuba) and grew up in a huge Cuban family, so I know good Cuban food, and trust me this was great. I’ve been to every good Cuban restaurant around at some point or another, and Señor Café just got added to my list. It’s a bit far since I live in Miami, so I can’t go as much as I’d like, but I’ll definitely be trying to pull together my friends to go up on a Wednesday in the future. I finished off my meal with a cafecito(easy way to judge if a Cuban place knows what they’re doing), and it was delicious. It did have the feel of being a work-in-progress, so I can see why some people have been disappointed in the past, but I like where it seems to be headed. Definitely will be going back.

Disappointing! Visiting from out of town and decided to eat here for the last dinner of our vacation. Unfortunately every thing that came out was COLD, yuck. 3 meals with sides and everything went back. Insult to injury, the place was dead… no excuse. However the waitress graciously apologized, but when it came back it still wasnt up to par. I didnt even touch my steak and it was left on the check and my moms chuletas tasted strange. Word to the wise, only order the coffee.

Love this place. I’ve gone three times now and waited to write a review because I like to give places a few tries before writing a review. I will admit that the first time I came the service was a bit slow, but the food was absolutle delicious and very cheap, so I decided to come back, and wow am I happy I did. The Cuban Señor was probably the best Cuban sandwich I’ve ever had. I was tempted to order it again when I went my second time, but decided to give the lunch buffet a try, probably because it was so cheap… incredible. I don’t know how they make profits serving such incredible food for so cheap, but wow I’m impressed. On my third visit I noticed that the décor had changed a bit(for the better), and wanted to see if the service has improved. I guess the owners actually read these reviews because the service was spot on. I was attended to quickly, my order came out in a timely fashion, and best of all, the food stayed at the incredible quality I had experienced my first two visits. I highly recommend this place. Side note, the coladas at Señor Café are better than how my Abi used to make… and that is saying something.

The service was really slow. The waitress didn’t speak English so that was a problem. Food came out wrong and had to wait awhile for my breakfast. The price was right & the food tasty so I would probably go again.

Lunch buffet spread was impressive-whole roasted pig or Lechon in the Filipino world. I had a Cuban sandwich that did not disappoint. Soft moist bread and, pickles, ham, mustard, and cheese. Just the right ratio to give you a perfect bite of all the ingredients. Their coffee, the cortado, is excellent, just delicious. Starbucks wishes they could do this. The tostones were crispy and hot, with a garlicky oil spread that accompanied it well. Rubbing elbows with locals and people watching the walk-up orders at the window all provided for a delightful lunch experience.

As I pulled up in front of Señor Café, I noticed a few people eating outside and a line of people standing by a window getting what I assume to be Cuban coffee. I sat myself down at a table and took in the simplicity of the décor. Moments later, a cute waitress came by and handed me the menu as she placed a cup of water on the table. As she gave me some time to make a decision on what I wanted to eat, I took a look at their sandwiches cause I didn’t have a taste for breakfast food. Within five minutes, I decided to order a Cuban sandwich. Usually when you order a sandwich at a restaurant, it comes with French fries; but I guess at Señor Café when you order a sandwich, that’s all you’ll get… a sandwich. So I ordered home fries and orange juice cause I don’t drink coffee. I was very impressed in the glass the orange juice was served in. Very similar to the type of glass a piña colada or a strawberry daiquiri would be served in. All that was missing was a splash of Amarretto Di Sarono, can you say happy hour… Heeey! Once I took a sip, I was completely in awe of how fresh the juice tasted. When the waitress brought my food to the table, I stared at the home fries questionably. Instead of French fries, which I was expecting, the home fries appeared to be big chunks of cooked potatoes(with the skin on) with sliced onions and green peppers. Surprisingly, it tasted really good. The Cuban sandwich was a home run. Warm, toasted Cuban bread with layers of just the right amount of ham & pork, swiss cheese, mustard, and pickles… fue muy buena. Would definitely eat here again.

So far I’ve sitting 10 minutes. and the waitress is busy wiping tables down instead of placing my order. I’ve requested her 3 times. would like to review the food but haven’t been able to get none yet so the food ended up being average.. What’s the waitress could not split me and my coworkers checks. And they have a hard time speaking English.. my final reviews stale plaintains untrained and non hospitable wait staff. and no English.

They have a fairly large menu. If I were more familiar with Cuban cuisine, I would have felt more comfortable ordering from it as many items didn’t have an adequate/any description. They brought Italian type bread toasted with butter & garlic which was a nice touch. However, no bread plates. I ordered the lamb shanks in «creole» sauce. The meat was extremely tender and the sauce was tasty. I’m not sure what made it creole since it tasted to me like the sauce that comes on lamb shanks when ordered in a Greek restaurant. The yellow rice was absolutely delicious. I would return just for the rice and add some black beans. My son had chicken fingers that had odd looking breading on them. He didn’t much care for them. My husband had baby back ribs. He said they were very fatty and only ate about half.(He really enjoyed the yellow rice & black beans he had on the side.) The other 2 local folks in our party had(1) lamb shanks — see above and(2) some sort of fish filet(grouper?) with shrimp. They are regulars at this restaurant and clearly liked what they had. I didn’t visit the bathroom so can’t comment on its state. The restaurant seemed fairly clean. The service was ok, but I thought they waited too long to clear dirty dishes. Look closely at your check, as ours had a 15% gratuity already added. Their loss — I usually tip 20%.
