Anykine Grill

I like the fact that they’ll let you order lunch items (if they’re available) during breakfast hours :) That is how I ended up with a beautifully cooked ribeye and eggs one morning. I was so impressed with the sincere hospitality and great food that I found myself grabbing lunch from Anykine Grill the very next day!
Anykine Grill is a great example of why it is a win-​win to support local businesses :)

Due to high Unilocal ratings, Kathleen W. and I stopped by here first thing on the way to Waikiki from the airport. Although parking was a bit difficult to find (had to park in a garage after navigating one-​way streets), the meal was well worth it.
Took a look at the specials and was looking for the ox tail but unfortunately was not available on the Thursday we flew in. Instead, I opted for the baked chicken and gravy. Although a seemingly simple dish and likely cook-​able at home, the feel-​good comfort food taste of the gravy and chicken that falls right off the bone was like heaven to me. In addition, plenty of gravy rice was provided, and the mac salad was probably the most legit Hawaiian mac salad I’ve had.
I’d say 4.5 stars rounded to 5 for Anykine! Looking forward to visiting again to try some other interesting foods on their specials menu!
