I’m a big fan of this outstanding new restaurant! The food is amazing and so are the staff! Very reasonable prices I’ve been bringing my grandma here on lunch and dinner dates and she really enjoys the atmosphere here and of course the food! The only down fall is The elevator –__– I brought it to their attention the first time I ate here with her that they need to have that fixed because the flight of stairs I have to walk my grandma up and down from is crazy! I mean the staff is very very helpful on letting us and other senior citizens use the elevator in the kitchen which is really nice of them but yet so not safe nor is it customer worthy. Well as I returned here with her time and time again it STILL isn’t fixedthey need to do something about it because for it being a golf course they will have A LOT of senior citizens dining in after a day of golf or even just to hangout and sip on some coffee and grab a bite and not only senior citizens, Family’s with babies and kids with strollers I’m sure they’d LOVE to make use of that elevator as well something needs to be done about that because I want to continue on dining here. Also to have more lunch and dinner dates with my grandma and family but over all great staff great customer service great food great atmosphere!

Since I plan all the social events for my office, I decided to check out Irons(formerly Seven Palms, formerly Sam Sneads) and I was presently surprised. The menu has a little bit of everything from salads to sandwiches to full course meals. The first day I went I had the Caesar Salad Crostini with grilled shrimp. It was delicious! I love Caesar salad, anchovies and shrimp and this one hit the spot. My husband and I decided to stop by for drinks and pupus one night. We sat on the lanai and enjoyed the view while having a few cold beers. Although their beer menu is somewhat limited their red pepper calamari won my husband’s vote(and he’s a very finicky eager). It is stuffed with mozzarella cheese and comes served on a sizzling platter. We also had the chicken wings with a sweet chili sauce on the side. The portion was huge — 10 pieces and I’m not taking your usual chicken wing size — we ended up taking a few pieces home. The menu is new, the staff was very pleasant and had GREAT customer service, the chef focuses on non-GMO, organic food and it is tastier. A few things need to be addressed but they are minor(elevator wasn’t working both times I was there, the hand rail on the stairs is loose, and the bathrooms need a bit of an upgrade) but I give it 4 stars. And I already made my reservation for my office get-together and once they open up the calendar for June I need to make a reservation for a retirement/farewell dinner. Great job in winning is back to this beautiful location!

Decided to try this place out with some friends because of an Instagram photo of their«Smoked Oxtail». I ordered the«Braised Short Rib Melt» Sandwich. My boyfriend had the Oxtail, another friend had the«Iron Lasagna» which was my 2nd choice by decided to taste from his plate anyway. Service was great. My attention was too much on my 18 month son so I couldn’t help but forget our waitresses name. She came often to check on us and was friendly. Everything I asked from her wasn’t a hassle for her to do and she did everything without hesitation. The reason I chose the Braised Short Rib Melt is because I am a big fan of braised beef. I’ve had it often a lot as most places that serve it here in Hawaii and even the mainland. My sandwich arrived fairly at a good time. I didn’t feel that I waited too long or too short. It came with what I believe was coleslaw and potato chips. Sandwich was cut in half and topped with banana peppers on each half. As soon as I picked up my sandwich it already falls apart. The bottom of the bread is soggy, the onion and tomato and 50% of the beef falls out. Immediately I’m upset and turned off by my food. But considering I held off from breakfast to have brunch here I wasn’t gonna pass it up. I literally molded my sandwich back together and take a bite. Boy was I disappointed! The beef had no taste! And it was rather dry. Braised beef shouldn’t be dry considering the technique of braising. I guess the moisture went all into the soggy bread. Each bite the sandwich just fell apart. Another slight annoyance I had with the sandwich was the fact that it was called a melt but had no cheese or anything to «melt» in it. Unless the sandwich falling apart was the melting part, I felt mislead to order it. Maybe it was my mistake for not reading the description well or just assuming a melt would have cheese. I did not touch my coleslaw at all. In all honestly I despise it and wish there was an option to substitute it with something else or just not have it at all. The chips were bland. Not one drop of salt or any seasoning. Literally just potatoes. Maybe this place is healthy and does not like to drench their chips in salt. But it could’ve used some kind of seasoning. The oxtail was okay. I’m used to Asian style oxtail so tasting a more American version was not all that intriguing to me. It was not horrible either. I tasted the lasagna off of my friends plate and though lamb is very significant in taste, it was also just okay to me as well. Not saying it was terrible either. I also had the«Basil Blurberry Lemonade» virgin because I am not able to drink at this time but thinking it was going to be a specialty lemonade drink, I made the mistake ordering an alcoholic drink virgin and expecting it to be really good. At the end, the total came out to 35 and some cents between my other half and I. Boyfriend gave $ 100 and waitress came back with 35 dollars in change. Hmmm… Head scratcher right? Simple mistake but I don’t see how people don’t catch simple mistakes like that when it’s clearly a big difference from the correct amount. Plus, I’m sure it’s already on the receipt where she would not have to calculate it herself. Minor but just double check if you have to because if we did not catch it, she would’ve had an overage in her drawer. Overall, I’m very disappointed to say we will not be back to try anything else more. Definitely overpriced for the quality I experienced in food. Nice scenery and dining area though.

So our group came up to Irons again after a round of golf and we had the Irons Lasagna. Best thing I have had here thus far! The Bartender was awesome! The staff here(front side of the house) is on point for me. Probably because I know almost half of the staff! But as far as the establishment and the fact that they still don’t have a PRINTEDPUPUMENUANDHAPPYHOURMENU for customers to order from… Sigh! The empty seating in the bar area on a Friday night is more than enough of a visual for me to see that SOMETHINGNEEDSTOCHANGEMAYBE!!! I wish the GM and owners could understand how much this location could prosper! But to see the empty bar seating was very disheartening to me(as a former patron of Sam Snead’s and 7 palms!)… I wish Ced was in charge of the bar again since he knew how to take care of us! I would just say«Ced — Nachos, my way»… It always came out how we expected it! Or I would say, «Ced — Wing zings» and Ced would inherently know to bring me SRIRACHA and ranch… Why? Because Ced knew the ATTENTIONTODETAILS of what his customers wanted or ordered! Ced would definitely bring REPEATCUSTOMERS… I am sure AFTERTHISREVIEW I WILLNO LONGERBEWELCOMEHERE… But I do hope things get better! Maybe one day soon a PUPU menu and happy hour menu will be printed for the customers to view and order from vice a bartender just listing items available. For goodness sakes I’m drinking and can’t remember what the list is???(No… I do not blame the bartenders! Management should be printing PUPU menus???)… I wish the best to Irons and while I will stop by to see what improvements they are working on… Unless anything provokes me to write another review about this place… I’m out!

Very impressed! We made a reservation for 20 but had 34 show up. They quickly got us set up, adding tables and chairs as needed. We sat on the lanai and there was a nice breeze. We had water and menus already set up when we arrived. They asked how we wanted to order(appetizers first or just start our order) they took everyone’s order and while we were doing presentations for our going away they quietly delivered the meals. Of course, due to the size of our group it took a little bit to get our meals, but still within a reasonable time. The meals were very good(I had the calamari and stacked veggie salad) everyone else seemed happy with their food. They brought out separate checks to all 34 of us with no hassle. All who assisted us were very friendly, helpful and went out of their way to make sure we were taken care of. I would highly recommend them, especially as a place that knows how to take care of large groups.

We had a fabulous time and the place looks awesome. First thing… our server(Tammy) was amazing! what a good find… very personable and good with letting us know about menu items and how the dishes are prepared. we started off with the Tahitian vanilla ice cream Sunday. DESSERTFIRST!(our choice) it was very yummy with the choco chips and nuts… like the presentation, also very easy to eat. next we had the smoked tuna spread and shrimp cocktail. I wasn’t expecting the wonderful smoked flavor from the tuna and the arugula was very complimentary… The wife had fun spreading them over the crackers(like a picnic) she says. The cocktail sauce was very well balanced and the best part of the shrimp dish. smoked prime rib and king crab is fit for a king! jalapeño butter is amazing and so is the cutting board plate… the whole dish was done beautifully. tenderloin was recommended by Tammy, Wife said she liked it. a nice presentation. we ordered the flash fried soft egg and alfredo to go as our curiosity got the better of us… I think the idea is to cut up the egg and mix the soft yolk around with the pasta to make it richer? by the time we got home the egg was fully cooked, im sure its not meant to be a carry out dish… non the less i enjoyed the concept. Management did an awesome job on the wood paneling and stain accents… i noticed they even hit the highchairs with some stain. I guess the only negative we could find is the place echos alot… typical of ed wary establishments… I know he likes the sound of people laughing and enjoying themselves but it felt almost like a banquet hall with no music playing that we could hear. Only thing we could hear was the obnoxious drinkers at he bar… maybe opening up the sliding glass doors will let the sound out? Over all we were impressed with the design and renovations, great job to you folks and the team. My wife wants to come back for her bday dinner in april and i’m sure ill be by again before that! Thanks again for the wonderful birthday meal!

Lots of free parking and great central location. I decided to stop by one night and glad it had reopened recently. Although the menu needs tweaks, they have good food. Food is a little pricey. Service was great, all the staff seems happy and proud to work here. I went a little later so it wasn’t too noisy. Definitely returning to see the menu evolve and mature!

Nice new place. Foodies will like. Reasonably priced for Hawaii, although dinner for two with dessert was about $ 100 after tax and tip. Hand-crafted cocktails and a nice view of the sunset. Service was above average. Will come back again.

Four of us Sunday afternoon at 4:30 — very limited menu — we’re looking for spaghetti, lasagna(was on menu), hamburger steak w/veggie and mashed potatoes, shrimp or chicken in the pasta fettachine — the boiled egg was cute and good but if we want upscale gourmet we would go downtown. $ 13 for a small half cup of Ahi spread and few saltines was ridiculously priced. I would order Ahi Poke if on menu. Overall, food was good — menu needs a lot of work for the clientel of the area. Just opened last week — time to work on improvements — quickly.

Mixed review — food was very good — wife had prime rib — I had pork chop and boys had hot dog and hamburger. Service was good — atmosphere not so great — noisy as well as staff and patrons kept letting the door slam each time they went in and out the Lanai — good luck — you have a captive audience but doubt you this be a regular place for me — aloha

Grand Opening! Typically I dont like to go to a new restaurant around their Grand Opening as they always first need to work out all the ‘bugs’. But tonight I was talked into going by my fiancé and we were not disappointed. The service was excellent, the staff extremely knowledgeable, the atmosphere just right, and the whole experience was«we are coming back here»! They will be open for lunch in February and we look forward to trying out that menu along with visiting the bar area. Great job to staff and management — keep this up and you will be very successful!
