This place has some of the best happy hour specials in town! Beers are $ 2.50 and food is almost half price. I would definitely stop in here and give this place a try!

Went for lunch last week while in town for work. Very nice restaurant with excellent food. The service was also great. This is a great place for a lunch meeting.

Delayed review — was there a couple of weeks ago. All I can say is: YESPLEASE! I have celiac disease(can’t have gluten — wheat, barley and rye). Firebirds not only has a gluten free menu, but they have: Great food(had a strawberry & spinach salad with shrimp) Great service Great treatment of special needs — A manager and wait staff walked my food out together to be sure it didn’t get switched, glutened, etc. Thank you Firebirds for helping to keep my safe! Oh! And my non-gluten free friend had the exact same salad and loved it too.

Host here was not good. I don’t know if Firebirds is just lax, but she was in street clothes and looked VERY unkempt. Was not good at her job either. That being said, we had a decent server. Food was very good as was desert! We mentioned we were celebrating a birthday but our server did nothing special, didn’t even wish happy birthday. Oh well. Food is pretty good, pricey but worth it in my opinion.

It’s been awhile since I’ve been to Firebirds and I can truly say I was not disappointed. I went with some friends and tried their smoked wings which were delish, I also have had the spinach dip with is always wonderful. For my entrée I normally go with the Filet but this visit I tried the wood grilled salmon. When I say this has to be one of the best restaurant salmons I have ever had. It was perfectly seasoned and grilled to perfection, the side of vegetables were lacking in taste but the sweet potato fries I ordered were great and I loved that they were waffle friends and not normal cut fries. I also had to accompany my entrée the double black diamond which had just the right amount of alcohol and tasted really good also. I could have had many more but I wanted to get to work the next day. Check out Firebirds if you are looking for that midweek dinner!

Last week, my wife and I went to your location with her family. Certain people in the family can be a bit picky when it comes to restaurants, so I was a bit worried, but the experience was amazing. All of the food was excellent. I had the Prime Rib Sandwich for the first time, and it was amazing. Try it with the creamy horseradish sauce. You won’t regret it. The best part of the experience was the service. Our server Leah did the best job I’ve seen since moving to Birmingham. She was incredible. When one of the food runners brought out only three salads, she noticed, and I saw her dashing out to make sure we all got our salads at the same time. Our drinks never got low, and everything was perfect. The only complaint I have is that we never once saw the manager. I was introduced to Firebird’s in Memphis, and I guess I got a little spoiled. At that location, the managers seemed to make it a point to stop by every table to see how things were going. It made everyone who visited the restaurant aware that they cared. It wasn’t the worst thing that could happen, and luckily Leah really took care of us, but it’s always nice when a manager shows he or she cares. I highly recommend swinging into this place!

Sunday dinner here was great! The atmosphere was great as always and the food was good and filling. If you ever visit, you have to try the smoked wings. They have to be the best smoked wings that I’ve ever tasted. They’re never too dry or under seasoned. These are a must with every visit. For my entrée, I had the smokehouse burger that was cooked to perfection and the BBQ sauce in the burger had an great smokey flavor. My wife enjoyed the Salmon and mixed vegetables. She talked about the great flavor of the salmon for days after. I can’t wait until our next visit, I think I’ll try the salmon. I know I’ll be getting the wings again.

I come here for happy hour only. They have it between the hours of 4:00−6pm m-f. They have a lot of good drink specials and food specials. Great way to try the different foods before dining in. I really just like the happy hour bar specials. I have always had good service food and drinks can’t really complain after that.

Firebirds is pretty good! Their drinks are really good! My favorite dish is the chicken pasta. It has a nice kick to it! If you like spicy then I suggest the pasta!

Came here for dinner with my son. It was a really nice night so we say outside. I really enjoyed sitting out there. My son had a burger which he said was really good. I had the Firebirds pasta. It was really good and plenty to take home. The bread that came with our meal was really crusty. Loved it! My only complaint here is that it is a little pricey to come often. If you are just getting a sandwich it won’t get too expensive but if you’re planning on a real meal, count on spending a lot of money.

A last-minute dinner invitation from long-standing friends. They live out in the hinterlands, somewhere near the border of Cambodia and Laos. As a result, the area around the Galleria was the midpoint for us. Yet the Galleria is one big no-go zone for my wife and I, a kind of retail Area 51 and Fukushima reactor combined. So we headed out to Firebirds with trepidation. First off, Firebirds is a chain. Just know that going in. And they were doing a brisk business on Friday night, judging by all the people milling around and staring at their smartphones. Reservations, people, reservations. Had you used that same smartphone sixty minutes earlier to book a table, you wouldn’t be sitting there with your companions trying to make awkward small talk above the din. We were instantly whisked to our table and seated. Upon arrival, we encountered some hiccups with our service, starting with being hounded by the youngish waitress for our drink order. Mind you, I like promptness and all, but let us shrug out of our coats and enjoy sixty seconds of small talk first. When our drink order wasn’t immediately forthcoming, she darted away, not to be seen for another fifteen minutes. So the drinks arrived and the waitress went absentee once again. Not for long enough to be annoying, but long enough to be noticed. I’m guessing she had too many tables to work that night. You could almost hear her toe tapping from impatience as we fumbled with the laminated menus. The food arrived very quickly after our order, by the way, telling me that the kitchen operates with all the cool precision of a Toyota plant. I say Toyota, as opposed to GM, because our food was quite good. Not Highlands good, but better-than-a-Ryans-Steak-House-or-an-Olive-Garden kind of good. Some thoughts. The main dining room is rather crowded and noisy. Know that going in. No, it’s not like a school cafeteria or anything, but you can definitely tell that Firebirds operates on the volume model, flogging the maximum number of diners possible through the place. That being said, we spend 2.5 hours shooting the breeze with our friends and weren’t rushed out of there. The verdict? If I’m ever marooned near the Galleria again, I’d give Firebirds my biz. In truth, I’d rate them 3.5 stars. But the small disconnects in service and the noise of the place makes me round down rather than up.

A pretty delicious, perfectly cooked New York Strip, with a side of sarcastically attentive, borderline smart allecky service from some dude bro server. He came back and checked on our table like 11 times right after we started eating. That’s a bit of an exaggeration, but it felt a bit much. Plus, I don’t know, maybe it’s just me. But when a customer has a mouth full of food, don’t ask him questions, like«how is everything tasting for us tonight?» Followed 5 minutes later by returning to ask yet another«how’s it going» question while I’m in the middle of talking. You’ve got to time these things, wait a moment! Later on after dinner, as we are getting ready to go, he comes back yet again, sees me clearly in the middle of an important discussion, and yes, interrupts us, to ask, «anything else tonight guys?» The steak was good though.

Atmosphere– Nice low light. Clean well dressed staff. There is not an official dress code but for the price I don’t want to sit next to a guy in shorts and a t-shirt. And I never have :). Roomy. Staff– Attentive. Well dressed. Knowledgeable. Friendly. Drinks– Bartenders know there stuff. Not to strong, not watered down mixed drinks. My wife really likes the wine selection. Food– Excellent! My wife and I have never ordered anything we didn’t like. Fish, steak, appetizers it’s all great. Famous for the Lobster Spinach Queso appetizer. You need to have a nice night out here. You need to do it multiple times so you can get everything on the menu. I always look forward to going back.

Not gonna write a long review but to be a chain restaurant… Firebirds is excellent! This place & Bonefish are my Yin & Yang lol. One satisfies my seafood craving & the other my steakhouse craving. I’ve been here several times. This location & especially the Montgomery, AL one. Great food AND drinks. This is the type of place(as well as Bonefish) where you can have a wonderful happy hour & if you want to linger over for dinner too you’ll still have great options. During happy hour you can get there signature martinis for $ 5 as well as other cocktails. They also offer delicious fulfilling barbites. Now, this is what a happy hour should be! Ive had everything from barbites, steaks, pasta, apps, & sandwhiches. All good! The décor here is lovely as well if you want to do dinner at one of the lovely tables. They cook there steaks on a real wood fire grill! I’m already getting too lengthy but trust me, if you’re out & about & stumble upon a Firebirds try them out. You won’t be disappointed!

I came here while in Alabama for a work trip. My host was nice enough to take me out for dinner. I like the décor and environment. We had a decent sized group and we sat outside. The service was good but they were out of the Yuengling that night on draft. I ordered the rib eye which was ok. The steak was thinner than I expected and taste was ok. Because it was thin, it wasn’t exactly cooked to medium-rare. I am normally used to rib-eye being thicker and juicier. My host though got the filet mignon and that looked great. It had blu cheese I believe with it and overall presentation looked good and I heard it tasted great. The food was decent, I had a nice dinner, just nothing that made me need to come here again. Maybe if I switch up the steak order next time.

Stopped by via a recommendation from a co-worker…and so glad I did! The entire meal was a success! Started with the BLT salad, my only suggestion would be to get the dressing on the side. The salad was a little heavy due to touch dressing. But the entrée…Holy epicness… delicious! My ribeye was cooked to perfection! No steak sauce needed. I originally had the mac-n-cheese as my side but it was to al-dente for my taste. So I swapped it for the loaded baked potato l… and got damn! I think we have a winner! I was offered a great pairing of the firebird red… freaking yum! This place was great and I definitely recommend it! My bartender Kate(I think) was great!!!

I loved the atmosphere as soon as I walked in. The people who work here seem so cute and stylish, even though they were dressed in all black, they all had their own accessories to their outfits. The strawberry salad is amazing!!! It was filled with flavor and the shrimp added an extra zest to the usual kind of salad. The balsamic vinegar served as the dressing and the flavors mixed together perfectly. I loved the cheese on it too. It was a little over $ 16 after taxes. It was filling though for one meal, and possibly two if you eat consistently throughout the day. I came back again for a dinner. I ordered the filet and lobster entrée. The file was wrapped in bacon. The whole entrée had a lot of flavor, even the loaded baked potato. The lobster was especially tasty, not over cooked and seasoned well. Another dish I would definitely recommend.

Great time here! I loved the atmosphere of this place — great energy, good layout, loud, but not so loud that you can’t have a conversation. The menu has tons of options so it should appeal to even the most picky eater and of course a full bar, plus offering their own house wine(Firebirds label). A variety of diners from families, to couples, to large groups, etc… this place can really appeal to everyone. I would suggest a reservation as it tends to get crowded. Lots of dining tables, some in the bar area and a nice looking patio. We did make a reservation, but when we arrived we saw two open seats at the bar. Naturally we opted to sit there instead. I find it’s such a better experience with two people if you sit at the bar. You can engage with the bartender and other diners. The bartender was great. In addition to the full dinner menu, the bar does also have a small bite menu. We didn’t have anything from it, but it included staple bar apps. We started off with two martinis: dirty bird and their version of the Cap Grill Stoli Doli(pineapple infused vodka). Both were excellent, but that Dirty bird was prob one of the best dirty martini’s I have had in a long while. I also inquired about their house Chard and mentioned I like Le Crema — he noted that I would not like their house. He gave me a sample, he was right… it was fine, but just not my taste. No apps this time, just straight to dinner. I ordered a Caesar Salad and added salmon & a naked baked potato. This is my go to meal when I am overwhelmed and super hungry — typically hits the spot. This place no different — everything was well prepared and good. Next time, I’ll ask them to go light on the dressing. Husband ordered the Kobe Beef meatloaf(included side of parm mashed potatoes and green beans). He cleared his place… he really enjoyed it. I did sneak one bite, and I agree — solid choice. I noticed a flyer that stated HH Mon — Fri on the patio or the bar… I look forward to checking that out soon!
