Had a really nice experience here. Food was good, but what really made it stand out was the staff, who really went above and beyond. Wanted to send a thank you and let them know they they made the difference between a completely forgettable Friday dinner and a great story we’ll talk about for a long time. :-)

I eat at the corner Bakery 1 to 2 times a week, the food is always fresh and very good, everything that I have tried is always delicious. The staff is always friendly. One of the Cashiers, Maria, is always so nice, always a smile and always asks everyone how they are doing or how their day is going, and does so in a genuine way. I know it seems small, but to me it is huge. Their customer service is great!

You know it’s a good meal when you get caught licking the bowl. I have never been very much into soups, they have never done it for me. But when I tried their chilli and potatoe soup. callate! I almost fell over. I was literally in love. Their chili is my favorite item on their menu. I could honestly eat it everday, it very thick and loaded with meat and beans. Just like it should be. My staff here is very friendly and helpful. The location is always very clean and even though they stay busy there always seems to be a very calming atmosphere to the place

Corner bakery is great for variety and convenience. If you’re looking forward to something delicious and satisfying, then this is not the place. Pesto chicken sandwich was plain and dry. It tasted like a cafeteria sandwich or packaged sandwich from the grocery store. Tomato soup was overly sweet and not the traditional creamy tomato basil soup. Chicken carbonara was only ok. This location has plenty of seats for lunch crowds. That’s the only highlight.

BEST location in Houston!!! The staff is incredible and the food is delicious. I had the pleasure of working with Kayla and Tammy for a catered lunch event. They were super efficient, helpful and a joy to work with. I will definitely continue to place my orders through this location only! Great sandwiches and delectable deserts!

Just want to say the food is good, and it was my first time here. Just got through with a dr visit, as I wasn’t well. This goes out to Charlie at The Corner Bakery. Your spirit and friendly demeanor blessed me his morning. Thanking you for sharing your testimony of Heavenly Father with me. I needed to hear that. May God always bless you and keep you in the palm of His mighty hand.

I have been here a few times, and I must say, the nicest people in Houston work here. It seems like everybody in this café loves their job. It truly does make a difference, when you are surrounded by positivity. Keep up the good work everybody!

I ordered the Trio… Which was a Southwest Avacado, Seasonal Fruit, and a cup of Tortilla Soup. The Southwest Avacado is supposed to be over greens. But they didn’t put the greens in there… So I basically got just the toppings for a salad. And the tortilla strips were incredibly stale, I couldn’t eat them. My boyfriend specifically told them no tomatoes on his sandwich, but they put them on there anyway. We ordered everything to-go, so you can imagine how frustrating it is to get all the way home and your food isn’t how you wanted it. Grr. I won’t be going there again.

We ordered CB for lunch from work and I am giving them a generous star because my food was free. I ordered a Kale and Romaine Caesar Salad, no cheese and extra chicken. I also requested that they give me the bowl of salad and not some paultry side salad. Well, to my surprise, I received a side salad. To make things worse, there was cheese in the salad. Now, one would think that theee isnt much else that could be wrog with the salad, but when I think Kale and Romaine, I expect a heaping amount of Kale and a small portion of Romaine, but it was the opposite. I was loaded up(in the tiny container) with Romaine and a sparse amount of Kale. They gave me more of the cheap stuff. The chicken was cold and dry, with no flavor. NEVERGOINGBACKAGAIN!

The thing I love about corner bakery café is that they tell you how many calories you are I taking. Plus the food is good. Personally I enjoy the sandwich and soup combo. You get half a sandwich and a bowl of soup with some chips and a dill pickle. Lovely!

My first experience here and I absolutely love it! The lovely lady who helped us, Maria, gave us awesome suggestions and was completely honest with the menu. The atmosphere is very calm and relaxed. We went for breakfast on Sunday morning. We got a cinnamon crumb muffin and the pancakes & eggs and bacon combo(which was a great deal btw) and both were mouth watering! We absolutely love this place. The prices are good, the service is great, and the food is amazing plus free wi-fi! We will definitely be back for more!

Corner bakery I cannot. I have been to this establishment so many times, but this morning is the last straw. You guys are an establishment but continues to run out of food daily? Where does it all go?! To your employees??? Can’t even get an oatmeal around here. No omelette? That’s fine, can you just make something similar with the same ingredients? Throw it in the scrambled eggs if you must, but this place has gone down hill. SOFARDOWN. And the employees are SORUDE. Had to get the manager to come speak to me just to tell me that there was no more oatmeal… Unilocalers, I hope I do not speak for all corner bakery, but go somewhere else!

This review is solely for the bakery: Banana muffins-you can really taste the banana, and they even put slices on top! Chocolate muffins-it’s almost like a cupcake! Incredibly moist and chocolatey. I don’t like the crumble that they put on top which is a little tasteless. Lemon pound cake– not a lemon fan but this cake is not overpowering with lemon which is great! The glaze on top is not heavy either so it’s not an overly sweet bakery item. Downside is that the muffins are pretty oily and at 500 calories a pop, it’s best to share with someone!

The food choice is awesome, atmosphere is nice and the place is clean! I love this place for a quick bite. The actual bakery options are good, but I will say nothing here is fresh like they claim. Overall, it’s a good place for a grab and go. I still like Panera better.

This is for Bakery selections only. First off NOTHING in here is baked fresh. It might be warmed up that day if you eat in. I ordered a cinnamon roll that was roughly 3 days old. Even then it had the taste of a product that is mass produced, frozen, and then cooked to sit in a cabinet for a few days. Loaded with preservatives to keep the bread«soft». The cinnamon was weak and very lightly sprinkled in the roll. NASTY! The place didn’t even have a hint of the smell REAL bakeries have. You can go to Shipley’s(way cheaper) or even Cinnabon and get a FRESH roll.

So we used vouchers we were given from a bad experience here a month ago. Every one can have a bad day so we always like to give a place a second chance. However… we came in for cinnamon rolls this morning. We just had a craving. Well there was one left in the tray that was golden brown and tasty looking. The other tray appreared to be mostly uncooked. I asked the surly and uninterested cashier if there were any others and she laughed at me and said.“oh they’re all fully cooked.” I’ve included a picture. half & half was empty… coffee was empty… table was filthy… overall I don’t think I can do the third chance here.

After dining here, I asked myself, «what happened to the Corner Bakery? I remembered this place USED to be awesome.» This place was empty at 7:45 pm on a Monday night. The guy behind the counter, who acted like he was the manager was completely rude the way he took my order. When I asked a question about the menu he was very short, and gave a face. Then when my order was done, he all but shouts next in line. Like I said nobody was there, the couple behind me was the fourth table in the huge place. The food, oh the food. I used to love Corner Bakery food. It took me almost 20 minutes to get my order. Like I said, nobody was there. If it had not been for the food runner walking by my table asking me if my meal was great because I had an empty pastry dish, I don’t think I would have ever gotten my food. I had to eat the cupcake(which I had planned on as dessert) since it was taking so long and I was getting a headache. The cupcake was the chocolate on chocolate cupcake bite. The cupcake was dry and relied too much on the flavor of the huge dollop of frosting. My chicken pannini was very soggy/greasy and tasted like butter. I like butter, but a little goes a long way. Finally the tomato soup, it was super sweet and luke warm. Needless to say, I will not be going back to this Corner Bakery, and maybe any Corner Bakery after this experience.

Great lunch spot in a great location, my first visit I opted for the chopped salad it was made fresh with grilled chicken and sliced avocados with a great house dressing. My second visit I ordered the same thing it’s that good I’m sure they have other amazing items but for a light lunch that is very satisfying this does it for me. The service was excellent and the place is super clean. I think this place earns a consideration when I’m in the area. If you haven’t been to the Heights in the last few years you won’t recognized the area it’s loaded with brand stores and restaurants and the housing growth proves this area is the place to be in Houston.
