Don’t go late evening. My daughter and her best friend wanted a sleepover before Christmas and since we were hungry, they chose Denny’s. The manager seemed to be arguing with the cook which in turned pushed everyone’s food order back. We waited 30 minutes for pancake puppies that came out EXTREMELYOVERCOOKED. After several apologies and 45 minutes later, I simply paid for their sodas and left. I haven’t been back since then.

We came in at 3 am, we were already prepared for pretty bad service and food. The hostess/waitress of the time was nice and polite, seated us, asked for drinks, and took our order in a timely fashion. Unfortunately, the food came out quite dry, and looked(for lack of a better word) boring. I will say it was at least of decent quality, such that I finished my meal, but mostly because I was hungry, not because I liked it. It took quite a while to bring the check to us, such that we even considered leaving some cash at the table and just leaving(don’t worry, said cash would have covered the meal+tip), but decided against it since that felt a bit rude and strange. Overall, it’s a decent experience, but I most likely wouldn’t come back. Honestly, we only came because no one else was open(on Christmas Eve) save for McDonalds.

I give this Denny’s a 5 star rating just because of the cutest/friendliest server there. If you ever find yourself at this location, ask for Toni!

I selected one star because I couldn’t select zero. The service was slow, the food was mediocre, and we were asked to be quiet because we were disrupting other customers. None of which were close enough to hear our conversation. If they did over hear us then that we’re listening to hard. CHEVY the manager came to express his concerns an hour after we had already been waiting for our food. Frankly if we had received the proper service in a timely manner, CHEVY wouldn’t of had to prepare a speech for us. I suggest you save your money on an IHOP. At least they speak proper English and have better customer service.

Here for bf birthday. To get free grand slam. Last visit here i was underwhelmed with food and service. I believe one of the servers called me a snow bunny to give u a picture. But I’m trying them again. It seems as if this location is doomed. Our waitress was good food was good, but I could hear the waitstaff and kitchen personal conversation that had vulgar language. Just not impressed at all.

We’ve been there twice now and have been satisfied so far with each visit. Prompt seating and a good breakfast served up pretty quickly. The wait staff was friendly and quick each time. When you just want a quick and simple grand slam breakfast, this will do just fine. We’ll be back again I’m sure of it.

My husband& I went in at what would be considered a busy time, 10:45pm on a Saturday night, and there was no one to wait the tables around us. Ended up being waited on by the hostess who was running her ass off. Kudos to her for keeping it together & being as nice as possible, but there was absolutely no management in charge ATALL. The girl who was waiting on the table next to us wouldn’t step up & help out even a little bit. She only had the one or two tables to wait on & was happy to take her time doing no more than that. Our table was dirty when we were first seated & we had to wipe food off the seats & get the hostess to wipe the table for us. Our coffee cups were both lined with sludge & we could see scrape marks where the spoons had scratched it off the inside of our cups! YUCK! We both felt bad for the hostess, so we stayed & tried to enjoy our breakfasts, but the food made both of us sick. Not sure if it was the lack of cleanliness or the greasiness of the food, but we both went home & threw up what we had eaten. Won’t be going back there again, EVER! Even though they’re only minutes away from home. IHOP will be seeing us from now on!

Don’t expect too much from this particular location, I’ve visited it 4 different days & times and the service in 4 of them have been less than attentive. In one instance I had to get up and ask the cashier at the front«who was going to be taking our order?» Another time, we were sat and no one came and checked on us. The food is decent for the price, and never really have issues with the food itself. I give the place a chance to improve in it’s service but I guess you get what you pay for. If you like good quick food other than fast food and don’t mind waiting sometime for someone to take your order, go ahead and visit.

This particular location can be found if you make your way to the Westside of Gessner when you get off of 249. If you are traveling South on 249(Towards downtown) you will make a right at the light. If you are traveling South bound(Towards Tomball direction) then you will be turning left and going under the underpass and finding this on your right. Parking is ample, never a problem. The restaurant on average of my 20 visits is pretty clean except for the outdated and restrooms that are about to fall apart. On average the staff especially the waiters/waitresses here are pretty good at giving you good service but on this particular visit on February 8, 2014 I had my very first encounter with a not so customer oriented hostess that I will brush aside and consider if a fluke. There is a saying about Texas whether, if you do not like how the whether is, wait a few hours and it will change, well here is the same unfortunately. If you happen to like a certain staff member, do not get attached to him/her because of the high turn over, you will be faced with a new crew in a few months because of obvious reasons. They do a pretty good job at hiring the best of who are over qualified to work at a McDonalds but every now and then you run into a few that should never step into the customer oriented industry. The food here is a hit or miss but for the most part it has usually fallen on the«good/edible» side, just roll the dice and you’ll know if you are going to have a good or bad experience here or not. This place sits next to a Wendy’s restaurant flanked on the West side of it. The fork that was in the parking lot was not taken out by me even though I found it right behind my tire.

I came here sometimes and they have not fail me. I love the foods here and especially this time my waitress Stephanie. She is incredibly nice and friendly which the way things should be. Ask for her when you come next time! My dad got the T-bone steak with shrimps and it was delicious. He loves it. I also got the new sirloin steak with zucchinis. Amazing! It was cook right and the flavor was just right. The price was also great with the foods I had. Overall had a great time :) Thank you Stephanie

Second time here, and it has not disappointed! Food was great and the staff has been amazing each time! Server checked to ensure that our food was good, and was also very prompt in both taking our orders as well as with refills. We didn’t even have to ask for any, she kept the glasses filled. Like I say, I waited until we can here a second time to make sure it wasn’t a fluke. Don’t know what other problems people have had, but then again I was raised with manners and know how to say please and thank you and just generally not be rude to people… We will definitely be back again!

Stopped by after four hours of bowling to grab some late night grub before calling it a night. There was a pretty big group of us, so I was surprised our waiter got all our drink orders correct without writing anything down. I had actually never been to a Denny’s, despite having several around here. Anyway, food was alright, though it was nothing I’d really care to have again. The waiter did mess up my order, though, and gave me the sandwich version, when I ordered the omelet version. However, it was very quickly taken care of. No real complaints, since it was a free meal… for me, at least!

I have no complaints, its Denny’s folks. Friendly service provided by a woman in her upper 50’s with multiple face piercings. Breakfast was great & we were in and out quickly. Thank u pierced lady.

I used to go here quite often a few years back and it was pretty decent. I ate here two days ago in the awkward hours between lunch and dinner, meaning that there were very few occupied tables. Because of this I expected just a pretty quick meal with my friends. Nope. Our server came by a few times before we were ready to order. Our fault for taking too long to peruse the menus though. When we were ready, she tried to get all of our orders down(there were four of us) by memory. It took a little while for her to remember it all but after repeating it a few times, she went off and put in our orders. The food came quickly and everything was pretty good and correct. Only good thing about the meal. We got to the restaurant at 5pm and she gave us our checks at 5:54pm. We thought we’d be able to be out by 6:15 or so. We tried getting her attention a few times and also another server but it seemed as though she had completely forgotten about us, a table of four. How do you just miss us? She didn’t get back to us until 6:50, basically a full hour since she had given us our checks. Yeah, we should have gotten up to personally get her attention but she didn’t seem busy at all so we didn’t understand why she just left us there. I asked her for a coffee refill(I’d only had one cup the entire time because she never came back) when she finally came by for our checks and she said she’d bring me one. She brings back our cards and some pens but no coffee. ‘Okay, I’ll just wait a little bit more,’ I think. Look over five minutes later and she’s standing and talking to the other server. We got so fed up, we just up and left after never getting our coffee. This was honestly the worst dining experience I’ve ever had. Never in my life have I had to wait so long for service at a restaurant. I regret tipping even that dollar out of my $ 8 meal. I’m never going back to this location.

A place like Denny’s you should never go with high expectations. It’s just something convenient and open late. This location has been around for many years, so I was surprised that it had not been reviewed yet. Even more surprised that no one else had complained yet. We hit this Denny’s after a long drive back from visiting family over Christmas. We were sat very quickly, but I believe that was the best part of our service that evening. Because of the holidays, I guess, they had three different menus. It was very confusing and after we ordered each one of us realized there were different menus and they all had different things on them. It was very obvious that our waitress was very young and very inexperienced. She was still nice and was trying, but her brain just doesn’t function as a waitress. We would ask questions and she would just have to go back and ask someone else. A waiter was the one that actually took our order and I asked him if a certain meal had cinnamon in it, since I’m very allergic. He just said«uh I don’t know if it can be made without it.» At least the girl would go and ask someone. When our waitress brought the food out she just kept guessing on who ordered what. She never asked where the plates went, she just placed them down on the table randomly. She forgot my eggs and my sister’s ice cream. She also forgot my mother and grandmother’s coffee and when we reminded her, she only brought one. This is just a point where you give up and are like«fine, I don’t care enough to keep complaining. I really feel like I can’t blame the waitress, after speaking what was safe to assume was the manager, I don’t think the manager was even knowledgable enough to train her own waitstaff. We had a mix up with our check that we found out stemmed from the manager misinforming her staff of the the rules of their specials. Monday is Senior day, as advertised on their front desk for buy one get one free entrees. The manager argued with my mother that it had to be a «senior menu item,» no where on her own flyer does it say this. The food is fine, but the staff is just dumb.
