IHOP

Years ago, this was a good restaurant. I guess they changed management and all the employees seem like they are all related. The food is ok but the waitresses are not to my liking. We refuse to go back.

Staff and Manager at this location are rude and lazy. Also don’t get the order right and will bring you food with no silverware and won’t even come back to check on you. So as pancakes are getting cold finally have to go grab your own silverware. Cold pancakes are awful! No point in eating them. Just paid and left. Tried to speak to Manager on the way out about the experience, didn’t even care. Major attitudes. Drive across town to another IHOP just to avoid this place.

IHOP out of mozzarella sticks and onion rings… sad how do you run out of appetizers on a Thursday

My boyfriend and I have gone to this location for months now, staff has ALWAYS been so welcoming and very kind. Unfortunately today that has changed. Our servers name was STAR we walked in and noticed we were the only ones there, she greeted us and seemed pleasant. Yes I had a pretty complicated order but it wasn’t to the point where I had to break it down to her, I have worked in the service industry for seven years now and I know how to be pretty clear on what I want and need to help the server understand my complicated order. She tried and didn’t succeed which was understandable, not an issue BUT she started to huff and puff. Also from sitting there we learned that her «old man» was upset with her being there for so long because someone was late for their shift and because another co worker didn’t read their schedule properly she was also standing at the computers on her cell phone with I’m assuming was her «old man» and looking at us while we were TRYING to enjoy our meals and in my eyes it is unprofessional to be on your phone while on the floor working. I don’t care if you’re not working in a five star restaurant making hundreds but that is your job no matter what and if I’m not mistaken making tips is how you’re making your income which is why we gave her $ 30 in cash for a meal that was $ 28 and some change but little did she know was we left her another $ 5 on the table before she started to huff and puff again and slamming things around before she left. So she missed out on a tip, may haven’t been very much but it was something. In my 7 years of working the industry I was never allowed to leave before my table, but then again we were at an IHOP so I guess my expectations for DECENT service was asking for too much. We will just take our services to Denny’s from now on.

Great breakfast food, quick and friendly service. What else can you expect from and IHOP?

This iHop has great food, not so much of their service but this place is fast. It’s definitely a lot faster than the one that’s near Kirby. We were in and out in about half an hour every single time, even if there is a lot of people. Food comes out great. Customer service isn’t the best but it’s doable.

Do not eat here. The customer service is horrible and I feel like I was cheated out of my money. Not only weren’t my needs met I felt robbed. Once I received my ticket I had to dispute the price about uncharges. This dining experience is very upsetting. I advise please save your patience and save your money from this disaster place.

Don’t think the air conditioner works here. Food was as expected. Half the lights are out. Not sure if they’re trying to conserve energy or if they’ve recently let their maintenance man go. Wouldn’t recommend coming here unless you want to wait in the lobby where the fans have light bulbs hanging out of them and are not working. You stick to the plastic seats until your name is called, if they remember to call your name. Many people left while waiting.

This continues to be my favorite IHOP restaurant. The people are friendly, the service is fast, and the food is delicious. I’ve tried other IHOP in the Houston market, but the food might not be as good or the staff might not be as friendly or the service might not be as fast. So 5 stars for having mastering all 3. I miss my favorite server though, hope to see you again some day Tawanda.

It’s 6:00 AM and you’re looking for a place to grab breakfast in the area this option could work, I been to a number of IHOPs and I rate this one okay, located off of Washington even though getting to the parking lot coming from the west is a little challenging being Washington is a one way boulevard so you need to pay attention.
The restaurant wasn’t very full except for a few night shifters and a few law enforcement officers. The restaurant seemed clean and the server was very friendly and attentive. I rarely venture very far from my normal breakfast selection here «the sampler» Two eggs over medium, sausage links, bacon, ham and two pancakes, however this morning I was delivered a different version even though I was clear when ordering, she got the meats right but the eggs came scrambled and the pancakes came out as white toast lol. I didn’t complaint I just ate what I got I’m a little hesitant about complaining about getting the wrong order at this hour of the morning when short order cooks are involved.

Let me start by saying I understand it’s national pancake day! But waiting at a table for 20 minutes not having any one stop by and say «hey we will be with you in a minute» is ridiculous. I work in the industry and know what it’s like to be busy but I always make an effort to let them know they have been seen. IHOP definately didn’t plan for this obviously!

I haven’t been to IHOP in forever and breakfeast for lunch sounded delicious!!!
We got sat immediately and our order was taken immediately. Our server was on top of it which is not my complaint for this visit.
All of my meal was lukewarm, like it was sitting in the window too long.

Terrible service! I walked in there and thought the lady was leading us to our booth, but she didn’t know what she was doing. The other waitresses were standing around doing absolutely nothing, then asked, ladies do you need anything? I said I’m going to Denny’s.

For YEARS IHOP has been my go to breakfast joint. I dearly love the buttermilk pancakes and no other pancakes taste as good to me. My last experience put a damper on IHOP for me. First, I wanted to try this new omelet. I am not a fan of their hash browns so when my fiancé discovered there are grits I lit up like a Christmas tree – only to be thwarted.
Since my meal was some special appearance thing there are no substitutions. WOW. Did not realize modifications at IHOP were such a huge problem. I mean really omitting hash browns and giving me grits would have caused a huge stir in the line. My fiancé is particular about some food (OK a lot of food but I love him anyhoo) and the side offered with his meal – hash browns – was a no go. He was told he could substitute with fruit. FRUIT! He waited thinking surely there was more – alas NO… oh wait… there is another option, grits. That did not appeal to him either. He did substitute the hash browns for grits so that I would be happy. Kinda absurd to have to do this, but OK.
When our meal came out I was given the wrong omelet – the server did not seem too happy that I pointed this out. In fact, her demeanor was very sour. Perhaps she had bad gas or is just not a happy bunny overall. We are a pleasant couple – not overly demanding and I guess asking for the yellow guys to use as my sweetener for my coffee was a No No. Will I go back? Not sure. I can go to the House of Guys it is close or Avalon Diner or 59 Diner. I will not say that I will never eat at another IHOP again, but it most likely will not be my first choice.

Initial customer service was good but one of the dishes didn’t come out until 1.5 hrs after time of order. We sat down with a party of ~20 at 12:30am, so it’s understandable that it takes a while to complete all orders. After 1 hr at the restaurant, the server came around to ask for missing orders & we told them 3 items were missing. Only two items were served. 20 minutes later, our group was finished eating.
When the server started to hand out the checks, we asked to cancel that last item, but he gave an attitude, «Why??»
“Because we never got the dish,” we said.
«I ASKED you what items you’re missing. You should have said something,» he argued.
We confirmed that we did tell him, so he walked away, «You should have said something. All the orders came out already… but to answer your question: Yes, you can cancel it.»
He went to the back to cancel the order and came out with the missing dish, «This just came out in the kitchen; it’s still hot. It’s yours.»
We said we don’t want it anymore, but he insisted that it’s still hot (although just a minute back, he scolded us for not telling him so. the kitchen didn’t know to make the missing dish) & we can take it to-​go. 40 minutes after the to-​go dish, we’re still waiting for the rest of our bills/​checks to be handed out. Too much time spent doing nothing but wait on crappy service.
We ended up not being able to eat it because 3am was too late to eat and our hotel room didn’t have a fridge or microwave. Spent that extra $ 9 for bad service & dumped food! :-(

NEVER GOING BACK!
Went with a friend for breakfast on my birthday and we waited over 10 minutes after we were seated. We were completely ignored. There were about 2 other tables with people. We tried to get someone’s attention. My friend was waving. We were completely ignored!

I wouldn’t normally give a chain restaurant, especially an IHOP, a four-​star rating. I actually wouldn’t even bother to rate one since they are kind of an institution and people will go regardless of Unilocal reviews. But I want to give a shout out to the AMAZING staff that work there.
I was in Houston for less than a week and went to IHOP twice… yes I love pancakes– want to fight about it?! My first server was awesome: attentive, friendly, and funny. Loved it! Other staff stopped by to see how my boyfriend and I were doing and even complemented my glasses.
The next time we stopped in we had a new server who remembered us. She even remembered that we ordered the exact same food (I don’t like change and a I love pancakes).
Needless to say, breakfast at IHOP was awesome. I would highly recommend stopping by and enjoying your pancake fix at this location.

Why, oh why does this place have such negative reviews? From the service to the food, we had an excellent experience in this Ihop — and it was pretty darn busy!
We had a table of 5, 3 of us went with the née banana’s foster brioche french toast (2 combos, 1 just toast), one got a split decision and one got double blueberry pancakes with a side of sausage.
All dishes arrived together, hot and correct. The place was clean, staff friendly and the male bathroom had a clean and fully stocked kangaroo care station for daddy to change baby.
I’d happily come back here!

They now have completely different menu, which is awesome. Me and my boyfriend were sitting there looking at the menu for good 10 min, couldnt decide on what to get.
We went to this IHOP on Saturday around 1am and there were still good amount of people there. Our waiter was very friendly and explained to us what was all changed and even showed us some magic tricks while we were waiting for our food lol
Our food was great! I got whole wheat pancake with blueberries and turkey bacon, scrambled eggs with egg substitute and my boyfriend got buttermilk pancakes with strawberry topping!!! Oh their pancakes are so fluffy, soft, and delicious!
We are craving them– definitely going back soon for some more pancakes! :]

While driving around town one morning we decided that IHOP sounded like a perfect pit-​stop for the day.
This location is shiny and new. The staff was nice, but getting to this location off of I-​10 is a challenge.
I had the special «Beef Tips with Onions & Mushrooms». It was okay — kind weird to have it with waffles, but I left satisfied. My partner had a traditional IHOP breakfast and it was equally as good.
The one thing special that I liked was the service. The manager was visiting every single table and just not as a ‘checklist item’ — he was actually interested in what people thought of the food and the service. I love to see places that emphasize that type of customer service.
