Minuti Coffee

This is my favorite spot almost every morning. Delicious coffee, pastries and I LOVE their caprese sandwiches! Their Ice-​O White Chocolate and Affogatos are so yum.
My little guy loves their puppy lattes.

Nice Italian style coffee bar. Comfortable to be alone or with someone. Wonderful neighborhood place to go and sip and chap or be alone and write.

Before Minuti I was a Starbucks guru. When I first tried minuti’s Chai latte at a Lone star campus it changed the game for me. I then started coming to their stand alone locations in downtown, mid town and even Westheimer. The atmosphere here at midtown is my favorite and I come regularly. Judith, Serena, Veronica, Diana, and Marina (Can you tell I come here alot) are all such great girls with tremendous customer service! I recommend Minuti to everyone, and definitely see them growing HUGE in the future!

The staff was incredibly friendly and urged the shakerato (because I mentioned I love iced coffee). I told them to surprise me using a flavor and I am so happy I did! A mixture of white chocolate/​brown sugar java. It was not overly sweet and had the perfect equilibrium. It is in a great location– walking distance to many people that live in midtown. I’ll definitely be going back!

I recently tried their iced coffee named Vanilla Shakarato and it was sooo good!
I accidentally stopped by Minuti Coffee and I am glad that my very first experience was so positive! Have you ever tried it? If you haven’t, I can explain: it’s brewed Italian coffee with the ice. Vanilla syrup, which is added to the drink, gives it unique taste. Their pricing is a little less than in Starbucks! I would say the same about the quality of coffee.
They have a room to grow to! However, I always enjoy their drinks and I’ll come back to get more!

Very comfortable atmosphere and the staff is extremely accommodating. We ordered the sexy Cubano, drinkable chocolate with 2 shots expresso, and a shakerato vanilla latte (which I’ll let them explain lol; very tasty).
–Sexy Cubano: made in typical Italian fashion, small cup, no non sense, quick; this small drink had some very tasty expresso when I was just expecting a flat after taste. Instead I was left with a hint of cinnamon and a lovely bitter chocolate taste.
–Drinkable Chocolate: smooth, creamy, not too heavy and complimented the two expresso shots to leave a unique whipped chocolate texture in your mouth.
–Shakerato Vanilla Latte: creamy, cold, vanilla taste which mixed into the expresso just perfectly; very refreshing on a hot day.
Overall, a very quality expresso/​coffee stop, which is proving hard to find nowadays. Would come back here any day.

Absolute 5 star place and just from the customer service. The two times I’ve come here the women are THE nicest and most welcoming people. I sat in their outside area studying and one woman came and grabbed my cup and got my refill for me. While I was there for about 2.5 hours she checked on me again to make sure I was okay. The coffee is very good too but number 1 is definitely the wonderful service at this cute little coffee shop.

I had a vanilla latte and my boyfriend had a decaf latte extra hot. We got back two regular, luke warm lattes. I told them my latte didn’t taste like a vanilla and they apologized and said the barista forgot it was a vanilla. Both my latte and my boyfriends taste like coffee from the corner gasoline store. When my boyfriend asked for his money back they told him if would like anything else instead. He said he wanted his money back but the girl at the counter convinced him to try another drink. He switch for a chi latte and it was also horrible. He asked for his money back and they told him they couldn’t because they are not authorized to do so. She said she tried calling the manager but they wouldn’t answer their cell phone. Who runs a place like this? We were so upset we just left. This is not how the coffee was at the downtown location.

I really fell in love with this location. I’m a regular at the Fondren location off Westheimer, but I was in the area one Monday evening and decided to make a visit. It’s very intimate and small; I really loved the atmosphere of this place. I liked the décor, the staff, the patio and how friendly the area was. The only thing that’s a little bit of a hassle is the parking situation. I think my sister and I had to park about a street away from the place, but it’s midtown and I like all things midtown. I didn’t mind so much because the weather was nice and I like walking around and discovering other restaurants and venues nearby. If I lived closer, I know for a fact I’d be in this shop every day. Such a cute location, I highly recommend it!

We had one extra hot decaf latte for me and one regular vanilla latte for her.
They forgot to add vanilla in vanilla latte and my coffee was lukewarm with lots of milk and tested nasty. I asked the cashier to return my coffee and get my money back.
At first, she said it might take a week to get the money back because I used credit card, she went back to call her manager/​owner and came back. Then she said that the manager never picked up the call so she don’t have the approval to give me my money back. Then she asked me if I want something else.
At this point, I was in a bad mood and just asked her to give me a hot chai latte. She did gave me a chai latte which was, like coffee, very lukewarm and terrible chai latte. I already asked her to give me my money back. I don’t understand why it is so hard for business to give me my money back when they don’t bat an eyelid taking my money.
I am not coming to this coffee place again to waste my time and money. I would suggest other customers to stay away from this place.

This is a cool little Italian coffee shop.
I took a look around while I waited. Vespa poster… haha. Round the corner, Alfa Romeo poster… Mmm.
I went with the warm hazelnut cocoa drink. It had bits of hazelnut in it and was a very different but an awesome take on a hot cocoa. I’d have that again. Downside, I finished it very quickly. Fortunately, a massive bottle of Pelligrino kept me company.
Sitting out on the patio was pleasant, but distracting that evening. The place across the street was running a game of trivia and I like trivia so I’d randomly shout out «Jaws! The first film.» in response to the trivia questions. I’d get that «Hey, focus» look from my friend then try to block it out again… «Sodium Chloride!»… focus, focus.
I will go back.

Miriam was a great help choosing the right blend on my first visit here. I described my preferences and she delivered. Espresso, served over ice with a smooth sweetness, not overpowering the aromatics of the roast. There is also a customer reward program, for the regulars.
This will become one of my regular stops for a well made drink.

Just around the corner from the JPMorgan Chase Tower we found Minuti and are so glad we did! Great coffee, both hot and cold. Lots of other choices of drinks for non-​coffee lovers. Friendly service and attentive management! A little one spilled his drink and wiped it up. Manager noticed, came over rewarded him with a cookie for cleaning up.

Got my coffee today ¹⁰⁄₁₉ and found a piece of plastic/​foil in my drink. Almost choked and it cut the roof of my mouth. Will never return.

After disappointing experiences at other locations I gave this one a shot since I love all things midtown.
This trip was primarily a bust in the service aspect.
There was no line when we came in, but they had 5 people behind the small counter. The girl at the register was nice but clearly new and had trouble ringing up both our orders. Would not have been a big deal at all except the person who came to help her spoke down to her in a rude manner that made us feel very UNCOMFORTABLE.
When I ordered my chai latte with skim milk it wasn’t until after the register debacle that I was told they didn’t have skim. Well that would have been nice to know before I was charged because I would have ordered a tea instead. I didn’t bother trying to change it bc of what already happened.
The drink was lacking in chai spice which left me unsatisfied and felt I wasted my $ 5.
The patio is really enjoyable but that’s it.

Best coffee place in downtown! Employees are super friendly and if you are a regular they always remember what you want. Coffee is very smooth — doesn’t have that burnt taste that I really hate about Starbucks coffee. Bonus: no long line, tasty muffins and outdoor seating.

OK… please someone train the barista on how to properly make a latte.
Otherwise nice patio. But run, run fast if you are looking into good espresso drink.

Coffee is great. I’m giving it three stars because the service is terrible. It’s almost impossible to believe that they mess up my orders all the time! How hard is it to make a macchiato and not a sexy cubano? Or «it’s only cinnamon» is no longer something I want to hear again there.
Again, the coffee is great, they just need to pay attention to the clients.

Friendly staff, funky atmosphere and a lovely patio makes this place my new midtown go to! My iced coffee with soy was perfect. I will definitely be returning.

Dropped by this place while shopping in montrose for a refresher and was not disappointed!
My friends and I got there around maybe 5ish on a Saturday. The place had a quaint patio that seemed perfect for studying especially with the amount of shade they incorporated. Inside was really cute and contemporary. Kind of reminded me of a library with the lamps they used too. They even had a television to watch from, so you don’t have to make conversation if you don’t want to. The baristas are pretty chill too! We were able to take some samples of the new concoctions they were making.
Little foot traffic, so we were able to take our sweet time in ordering. We all had decided on teas and ordered different ones so that we were able to sample from each other. I got the coconut hibiscus and wowza did I choose right! Flavor was on point; not too sweet, and the coconut was not overpowering. A friend got the regular hibiscus tea unsweetened and even that was still pretty flavorful. Another one got the peach green tea I believe and that was pretty tasty as well. Was not able to try out their coffee, but if their teas were an indication of how good it will be, I’m looking forward to trying out their coffee next time I’m in the area.

I’ve come a few times when they are busy and things seem a little disorganized. Lots of people waiting and some confusion on drink orders. However, there were a lot of customers and only two employees.
That being said, the coffee is great and there is ample seating outside. They have a great coffee and tea selection as well as beer, wine, sodas, etc. I have seen other reviews complaining about price, but coffee is generally expensive (unless you drink a black cup of coffee), and their coffee tastes better than Starbucks.

Wanted to try out a new spot aside from my usual Starbucks run and found myself in here. Got an iced vanilla latte (my go-​to coffee drink). It was a little too sweet for me, nothing at all special, and was as expensive as Starbucks. Needless to say, I’ll stick to the usual.

I’m so happy they opened this location here in Midtown — I used to take the Metro up to Preston Station just to go to the Downtown one. Just like at that one, the staff here are friendly and the outdoor patio is really nice.
I like the coffee here a lot — my favorite coffee drink is the sexy cubano. Warning: this drink is is not for the faint of heart. Please also note it’s not your typical colada — so if you’re Cuban and you go there expecting that then don’t sue me. It’s more like a cortadito with some cinnamon in it but it gets the job done — gives a good jolt if that’s what you need.
When I don’t need a good jolt but just want a hot drink, the other drinks are great like the Americano or the delicious hot chocolate with mint. They have cold drinks too like iced coffee, beers, etc for hot days like today.
Don’t forget they have food too — as another reviewer mentioned, they hot-​press their sandwiches and breakfast burritos to perfection and they’re pretty darn good.
The only drawback — like the Downtown one — is a serious lack of power outlets (intentional, to keep the paying customers moving through). Minuti is my favorite coffee shop in Houston. Having said that, it’s not my favorite coffee shop to *work* at in Houston for this reason.

Delicioso! We came here after an early morning swim and were not disappointed. We ordered an iced chai latte, Frappuccino, iced americano, and sausage egg and cheese burrito. Everything was great. The burrito was paninni pressed to perfection. The staff was also very sweet and accommodating. I love the clean outdoor seating as well. I would definitely recommend this place for a quick after early morning workout snack or meal. It was the perfect energy booster after doing laps for an hour :)

Best new addition for coffee in Midtown! The quality of the coffee is the real reason for coming here. The coffee is roasted in Modena and although this is a chain the coffee tastes equal to what you find in many independent shops.
The staff at the Midtown location is super friendly and they do a great job in brewing some fantastic coffee! Shoutout to Martin the manager who goes out of his way to get to know his customers!
I would give them 5 stars but I’m not crazy about the food. But I try to eat very healthy and the options for that are just not that many here — but I think that’s typical of most coffee places.
They’re dog friendly here which I always like. They always have a bowl of water on the patio for the pups. And the patio seating is awesome! A lot of seating that’s kept separate the sidewalk by a low wall, and there’s a raised area with a soda and chairs — it’s like an outdoor living room. And there’s plenty of shade to protect you from the weather.
It’s clean, bright and well lit inside. Free wifi which is a bonus — just ask for the password and you’re good to go!
But it’s all about the coffee at Minuti and so far they’ve never disappointed. It’s always a good brew!

Best dirty chais around. I like mine with extra espresso so I think the name changes to «filthy» and then «nasty» depending on the amount of shots.
A lot of places I try them at tend to lack in one spice or the other. This is a nice balance of cinnamon, cardamom and clove flavors that make it my favorite and worth the drive. Whether they make their chai in house or not is irrelevant because the taste is spot on.

I love Minuti Coffee and I’m so happy a new location opened up so close to me! I’m a big fan of the ICE-​O which is perfect for once it starts getting really hot in Houston. I love that their patio is dog-​friendly and the staff even comes out periodically to ask if your dog needs any water. Definitely a great coffee shop to check out!

I’ve been here 3 times so far. Twice I have gotten wine and once for the coffee. It is dog friendly and all f the staff is very friendly. The coffee I had today was out of this world! I wasn’t sure what u wanted to drink and a worker (maybe the owner?) helped me through it all. Definitely my favorite coffee in the midtown area.
