Since my last review, it seems there have been improvements in management and quality of service. I come here about once a month or more. I have a list of coffees for the people in my office with initials for each person, and they put the initials on the cups for me. No more errors in the coffee orders. There are some local options nearby, but this location in midtown is convenient.

Solid location that can be busy, busy, busy during the morning rush. That said, it is well-staffed and the employees are often in a good mood. What makes it one of the best in Houston is the Clover machine, which results in coffee much tastier than the normal Starbucks brewing method. There are a few local options in the immediate vicinity, but many have odd hours or squirrely wifi.

Parking is not an issue for me, seeing as how I do not have a car. That being said, this is a great Starbucks(if you are into the whole national coffee chain thing). They do have the Clover Brewing machine which makes a really smooth brew, especially with the selection of reserve coffee they feature. The manager is super great to talk to and there is no shortage of places to plug in a settle down for a while. Overall a solid Sbux joint!

Like others said, parking is terrible, customer service is substandard & the quality is not great. Starbucks, please, please, please begin a training program for your employees in the Houston area! Also, the worst thing is being bombarded by homeless people instructing me to give them money… not ask, telling me to do so… Really!

Whoever«nicko» is he sucks like he messed up in our drinks then when we told him he literally laughed in our favor and disregarded what I had to say and I felt violated on what we ordered …

Typical starbucks. Parking can be a nightmare, especially if you’re there after business hours, as I was.

My friend and I were visiting from Cali, here on business. Devon and Tia(spell check on names ladies hehe) were absolutely amazing! They gave the best customer service, all smiles, were positive and had the best energy! We walked .7 miles from our hotel and it was worth it! We loved the company, the laughs and the experience! You made our evening! :)

Warning! Be very careful about going to this Starbucks. My daughter met someone here for a job interview. ALL the spaces are marked with a tow restriction of 30 minutes. When she went into the Starbucks she asked an employee if it would be ok to park for about an hour since there was amble parking spaces. He said no and suggested she park across Smith street in the small strip center. Well, the strip center has very few tow signs which are displayed level to the parking lot concrete. If any car parks in front of the tow warning you will not see the sign. They have cameras installed watching you to see if you walk away from the strip center property. My daughter never saw the signs and walked across the street to Starbucks for an interview. Needless to say, her car was towed. She asked a Starbucks employee about it and he just smiled and said, «Oh yeah, I forgot they tow over there too.» I think Starbucks and the strip center know exactly what they are doing to customers and they don’t care. So, if you have any desire to visit this Starbucks you better be in and out in less than 30 minutes. Better yet, avoid this Starbucks. After all, it’s your word against the towing company as far as the 30 minute time limit goes. It cost my daughter $ 230 to get her car out of an one hour storage which was located on Ennis and I45. Stay away!!!

Normal Starbucks as you would expect… The only thing I would caution is buying anything from the pastry fridge… There are fruit flies floating around in there. It’s not very appetizing. It’s a good thing I only buy drinks here… Parking is very limited here as well — 30 min limit lot.

This has to be the only Starbucks location in Houston with the worst customer service. The employees have no interpersonal skills and they ALWAYS forget to make my coffee. I don’t know if they are not paying attention or don’t care, but it is really disappointing to be treated in this manner.

worst customer service ever. I ordered two coffees, both of them had coffee dripping all over the cup, they don’t care at all. They charged over 5 dollars for a regular grande cinnamon dolce lattes. Will never come back again

I really would like to give Starbucks somewhere 5 stars but no matter where I go the speed of service is always terrible. I built an addition to Starbucks decades ago and can hardly get through my day without stopping at one of their locations at least once. Every time I go though, there is always 4 to 6 people working and they are always spending more time talking to one another or trying to get their closing duties done instead of serving the customers. This location is no different. I drive by and if I see more than 2 cars in the drive thru, I keep driving. I just know its going to be a 25 minute trip otherwise. Employee’s at this location are all friendly. They just are not held accountable for speed of service. I don’t blame them for that because it’s in the culture of Starbucks not to care about that.

2 out of 3 times I have been overcharged at this location. It looks like only one guy knows how to work the clover machine correctly. The only reason to ever go to Starbucks is to order those ridiculous«half double decaffeinated half caf with a twist of lemon» drinks.

I frequent this store on my way to work around 5:30AM to 6AM. There are a few regular baristas who always have a smile and good attitude, however there are some females behind the counter that are definitely NOT morning people. No matter how polite I am to them I only get dirty looks and mediocre service(compared to how I am used to being treated at a Starbucks). That being said, when any of the regular guys are working the counter, I am greeted with a smile, and they tell me what’s new on the Clover. Ahhh yes, the fabulous Clover machine can be found here. It costs a bit more, but will amaze your taste buds if you are a coffee lover! You will see all kinds of «bumbs» here. Sometimes they leave you alone and other times you may get approached and even harassed about not giving them anything. Just decide before you get out of the car how you want to handle anything that comes your way from them, toughen-up, and go get your coffee. I do frequently see cops here, but unless someone is in physical danger, they get their coffee and move on.

The rumors are true. This a more«colorful» part of town, what with the Greyhound station so nearby. The staff at this Starbucks seem content with letting passers-by use the restrooms, take occasional shelter from the heat/cold, and the baristas will usually give ice waters to those who ask. I appreciate the kind-hearted gestures. Everyone pretty much keeps to themselves, and I have never felt unsafe or uncomfortable. Police officers frequent this location as well. As for the actual Starbucks, this one has a CLOVER machine, which provides a richer, darker, more concentrated coffee experience than the regular Starbucks brews. For coffee snobs, the beans are still slightly-to-very overroasted at Starbucks, but the Clover brings the coffee up a level to somewhere below those who roast their own beans(Catalina) and somewhere above other franchised coffee(Seattle’s Best). Decently ample seating and a new upgrade to Google internet earns this place four stars.

I don’t live in mid-town and usually go to the Galleria locations so when I’m here, it’s usually on the weekends before or after doing something around the area so ironically, parking is not an issue since the cell phone place next door is closed and there are plenty of free parking spots in mid-town. It’s nice actually given that many bars and restaurants in the area don’t even have a single free parking spot so if your goal is to drink your coffee and do your reading and then leave with your car, this is great. Don’t try to cheat them and park there and leave your car to go to other places or you’ll get towed though. Service? It’s Starbucks. This one is kind of long and narrow(that’s not what she said) so there is one area for lounging around, and another area with tables and stools. I like it. People are nice enough too.
