Waffle House

Went this morning for breakfast. Fast, fresh and good amount of food for your dollar. The thing that impressed me the most was the staff was so happy as the worked together. They worked like a well oiled machine… amazing! That my friends is what a good manager can do + hiring the right crew. I’ll be back…

It’s Waffle House. Make my food, take my money. Great to prevent a hangover! I enjoyed the peanut butter waffle, my only complaint was the OJ… It tasted rather cheap

Pull in, full house, decided to call in order. Employee told me not allowed. Go in, place order, get it, it’s wrong, send it back. Cook cussed at me, 2 waitresses backed him up for it. Asked why phone was off hook. Told because they are sick of «f-​ing n**** trying to call in orders»
What about the automatic gratuity? You know free money for 5 seconds of work.
Never encountered such a large group of people who don’t want to make money. Debating on eating food currently. Probably won’t in fear of something nasty.

They closed four of the six grills meaning by the time you get your waffles, your food will already have been eaten or cold (just because they don’t want to clean more than two grills). Not to mention, the «workers» fixing the ceiling hit a pipe and made water spew everywhere. This is my second time here and both times I was very unsatisfied so now I’ll be finding a new location.

Love the excellent and attentive service of a waitress named Zoi. She is awesome! Food is as same as the others waffle houses, but her service made it more delicious! I completely love her! ^_​_​_​^ I devote my 5 stars to her.

Walked in and not a soul in the place except the cook, an waitress and another waitress sweeping the floor. We were looked at and not welcomed. We asked if we should pick our table and the one sweeping rolled her eyes and huffed then explained that they were sanitizing the restaurant. I said that we could come back later and started to leave (should have.) the one behind the counter said we could eat to the counter. I wanted to sit at a table. Started again to leave. My daughter said that we wanted to sit at the table and asked if there was some kind of problem. We were finally seated after sweeping huffing and puffing at our table. While we were waiting for our food, the three employees were yelling at one another and obviously fighting. When my food came it was COVERED in pepper to the point that I could not eat it. Obviously not a good day at the Waffle House.
I have been there before and had excellent service and good food.

The place is small and a little unclean but the staff is nice and the food is good! I think you will definitely enjoy the waffles and All-​Star Special that they have here. By the way the Lemonade is a little sweet and tangy if you like that.

Excellent service & food. Once we were seated, the food came fast. Coffee came even faster –always a plus.
One of our party had her service dog with her & they were very accommodating & nice about it. One of the waitresses asked some questions for clarification concerning the laws about service animals.
Overall, it was a very nice experience & highly recommend this restaurant.

The good:
–Open 24 hours. Super awesome post-​wedding when all you want is some food.
–HASH BROWNS «ALL THE WAY» for $ 5, which evidently means with sautéed onions, melted cheese, grilled hickory smoked ham, grilled tomatoes, spicy jalapeño peppers, grilled button mushrooms, Bert’s Chili, and sausage gravy. Sounds like a weird combo and like way too much, but it is surprisingly good! Serving is very, very generous and way more than I could finish myself. I had to pawn off my leftovers. Heavenly with Tabasco.
The eh:
–Crowd varies. I’ll leave it at that.
–Could be perceived as grungy? It’s definitely not a Zagat, five-​star joint… but it’s clean, satisfies your cravings, and does the job.
–Our crowd of 30 at 1 – 2 AM was very overwhelming for the 3 people on staff. They were friendly, polite, and accommodating, but there were definitely confused orders and orders placed late due to not being placed in the first place. We were in a chill mood, so didn’t mind too much, but one can see how that could be a problem.

tl: dr always consistent quality, favorite brunch food, sometimes sassy serving quality
Waffle House is the one thing I miss in California way too often. I’m glad that the Southern in Texas has served up a large quantity of Waffle Houses in Houston.
My regular order is the Chocolate Chip Pecan Waffle and the Crispy Peppered Hash Browns. The Waffle, of course, is perfect. You see them making it right in front of your eyes and their batter just has some magic to it to make the waffle taste a little soft and crunchy at the same time. The chocolate chips are always a sweet addition. The Hash Browns hit a home run — they make them extra crazily off yo ask and they do a good job of blending in the Spicy Jalapeños into the meal. Add some ketchup and voila it’s a solid compliment to the waffle.
The only downside to WH is the service at points — the receptionist check in lady gave us a little too much sass just because we didn’t want a menu (?). Silly things like that so often confuse and tick of the staff and today, they even sent the manager to talk to us.
WH would get the 5 stars of my heart if they just added In a little more quality service.

I come here all the time and the food is amazing
I prefer Waffle House over IHOP and Denny’s
The service here is okay, it’s not the best. They seem overwhelm sometimes and employees here do not care about cursing their lives away. Other then that I could care less but it’s better not to curse in front of customers .
The wait time is pretty longer then expected. Sometimes I’ll wait half an hour for my food to be ready
But overall I am satisfy every time I visit Waffle House, so for that I’ll give it a 4 star.

Decent breakfast seems a little rushed but they seem to be very busy, great customer service they really treat you well. Overall it’s what you expect from a small diner.

Normally I don’t leave negative comments. But in this case.
I didn’t get what I ordered
It wasn’t prepared well
It didn’t taste right
The wait was unacceptable
No one in my group of 15 was satisfied
We were given free food.
The food we were given was appreciated, but it still wasn’t what I ordered
I’m not coming back, but at least they arte ptrd to satisfy me with free food.
As a patron I look for two things: good service and good food.
The service was better than the sub-​par food

Can I take my check in back?!? We left. It was wayyyyy to crowded. Like ridiculously packed. Crackel Barrel here we come

This is a small place that packs a punch. Today will be the first time I am here for lunch, but I normally come for breakfast. One thing about this place is that it’s so limited in space, and it gets packed! Specially on the weekends, expect to wait for a table. The good is decent. I love the pecan waffle. That’s what I always get and can never go wrong. The prices are cheap and service is decent. Perfect place for a midnight run or after club munchies. They stay open late!

Everyone knows that waffle house is a ghetto establishment! Lol I honestly don’t expect great service or a clean table when I step into any of their locations. Of course this location didn’t change my opinion on that. The floor was a mess and the employees were talking crap to each other in front of customers. But hey, the food was great! I love the grits & waffles lol

I’m giving this waffle house one star only because I have to. We just walked in and walked out. We wanted to have breakfast for dinner so we strayed from our usual eat out place, Frank’s Grill, and came here. BAD CHOICE!!!
1^st when we walked in there were only 3 customers, the place was dead. Which makes the next part worse.
2^nd the smell that hit our noses when we walked in was unbearable. Something like dirty dish water mixed with trash and syrup!
Why oh why does it smell like that. Why oh why is there trash and food all over the floor in the kitchen while the servers are sitting down hanging out with friends??? Why, sir, are your hands and apron so dirty and your touching all over my fork? Why, when it is dead inside, is this place so disgusting? It should be spotless. Just saying.
Like I said, we left. Won’t ever need back. Sitting here at Frank’s Grill and its clean and we KNOW the food rocks.

Why am I going to this place when there’s potentially better 24 hours chain breakfast joints out there? Well, for one it’s fairly close to where I live and 2., this place is no frills like some other 24 hours diners. This place is all about breakfast food. I have only been here after 2AM on the weekends and it sure gets packed really quick. Luckily the people who works there does thing in a fairly fast pace and people who have the munchies like me where you’re craving eggs and bacon after a night of drinking.
Again, when you come here at 2AM in the morning, don’t expect really, really good service, or a crowd that you can stare at all night because people are either drunk, buzzed, or maybe both at the same time and they just want their waffle. Since this is an open kitchen, you can see your food being prepared if you are sitting at the counter. The over all price is relatively cheaper to other 24 hours breakfast joints but the service will be «you get what you pay for».
