Don’t advertise what you’re not selling! Came here with a few friends before flight and they had a huge banner above the awning reading«Crawfish». When we were ready to order crawfish the server said they didn’t have any and are not in season(June) so we were confused but decided to stay and order something else. So my husband ordered the seafood combo platter because it came with oysters but they didn’t have oysters either. I ordered the comfort trio which came with bread. I asked the server for another piece of bread in the middle of eating which I didn’t get until after we paid for our meal so I had to take it to-go with the gumbo it was for. In good news the food was still good and the servers were nice.

My husband and I went here on a Saturday for a «date night». It was very busy, but we were seated at a nice table in the corner. My hubby was a little nervous not having had a lot of Cajun food so he went safe and got the chicken and fish with fries. I got the comfort trio of Gumbo, Etouffe and Red Beans & Rice. We got an appetizer of boudin balls. The sweet tea seemed a little strong until we started eating the spicy food, then it was like nectar from the Gods. Everything was awesome. I will happily go back there anytime and try some other items from the menu. My only complaint would be that it was a little warm in there and the fans weren’t quite cooling it off enough for me, especially with the spicy food!

This is probably my favorite restaurant to eat in this area. The food is amazing. I usually get the shrimp and catfish peauxboy. It is monstrous! You definitely get what you pay for. I usually eat a few shrimp and catfish out of the sandwich before I consume the sandwich as it was intended to be consumed. Anything fried here is delicious. The batter makes all the difference at a place like this, and this place has got it figured out. I tried their hurricane last night. It was a little pricey. I took a sip, twitched a little, and popped my eyes wide open realizing that there was a reason behind the steep price. Also, I’ve never had a problem with the service. The manager(maybe owner) has come by the table a few times to chat and make sure everything tasted all right. That is always a good sign that you are at a place that cares about their clientele.

We stopped here while in town because I was craving a po boy. Everything from our starter(boudin balls) to our entrees(shrimp/crawfish po boy and the big easy) were delicious! This will be one of our spot to go in Humble from now on. The service was excellent too! Very friendly staff!

Stopped in one evening to place an order to go. I ordered the seafood combo(fish and shrimp) and a hurricane(yes they have it to go). Everything was excellent. Fish and shrimp was fried to perfection and don’t get me started on the hurricane. I will definitely be back to try other things on the menu. Owner even greeted me and told me what to try. I love this place!!!

I love seafood, Café Rian Cajun Café has some of the best fried fish and shrimp. I’ve had almost everything on their menu and im always satisfied. I love the atmosphere and the location. I have a loyalty card and everything. I eat here once a week and it’s well worth it.

Good food, decent prices, nice and very informative staff… this place is definitely somewhere I will be frequenting for my seafood/Cajun fix. One of the waitresses also informed that every other Saturday they have a LIVEJAZZBAND! And yea I almost forgot they have great drinks as well which if I’m not mistaken are half price on certain nights, who can beat authentic food, good drinks, and a live band. If you haven’t been to this spot and you like Cajun food, I highly suggest you check it out!!!

Well, I drove 45 mins from Hobby to try this place out neat Intercontinental. First clue the food would be good, the place was packed on a Sunday afternoon, and I was the only whitey in the building. Seated quickly with very pleasant service, but I came for the food! Ordered some boodin balls(don’t pronounce like you are in France), and the seafood combo with catfish and shrimp, with some red beans and rice instead of the Cajun fries. Did not disappoint! Excellent. Photos follow

First time here I heard it was good got the special wings cabbage and sweet potatoes. I must give them props. It was the best cabbage and sweet potatoes I’ve had besides my moms. I am born and raised in Louisiana so I know what’s good lol. We will definitely be back and spread the word.

Great service and even better food. My husband suggested we do a review, which means this place tops the rest of the places we usually go in humble(joes crab shack, hooters, wing stop etc.) Only negative was the hurricane sucked and there’s not a full bar. Stick to beers, fountain drinks and SWEETTEA.

Excellent! This was a last-minute decision, which normally doesn’t go very well but in this case I was very surprised. Let me start by saying I have never been a fan of «order at the counter» environments but this place is a big exception. I had the fried oyster basket and my colleagues had a salad and the étouffée. We all cleaned our plates as best we could, the garlic bread was amazing and all of the fried items that were perfect. The service was very friendly and quick. If I find myself in the area again, I will definitely go back.

This is a counter service cajun spot with all the usual menu items like po boys, gumbo, salads, baskets, hot wings, and specialty entrees. You order, go to the drink station, find your table and after a few minutes they will bring your order to your table. During my visit on a weekday for lunch, I ordered a cup of gumbo and a combo po boy. The gumbo had a thin roux and really hit the spot on a cold day. It was ‘loaded’ as they say and filled with chicken, shrimp and sausage. My combo po boy contained about 6 fried oysters and 13 small fried shrimp on a flattened, grilled french bread. If you don’t like biting into a po boy and tasting mostly bread, you definitely won’t have that issue here, since the sandwich is loaded with seafood. I really enjoyed my meal and will be returning next time I’m craving a little Cajun.

Food was decent. I ordered wings as an appetizer and the Big Easy. The wings came out a few minutes before my entrée. So, the timing was off, but the wings were piping hot and seasoned well. The ranch dressing on the side wasn’t appetizing. It tasted like spoiled milk and didn’t compliment the wings. No big deal because the wings didn’t need them. The catfish and etoufee from the Big Easy were good… flavored well and the food came out with steam rising. The sides were just ok… forgettable, really as I can’t recall exactly what they were. Service was great! I was seated quickly and the servers were very attentive. I’d come back again, but will probably stick to the fried food.

Do not expect fancy ambiance. Do expect friendly people and really darned good food with good service to match. Why didn’t I find out about this place before now. Catfish is tasty and good sized. Étouffée is lovely and smells divine. Dirty rice, nom. Red beans and rice, NOMNOM. They have weekend specials, so check the board. I will go back again and again.

Speaking on the gumbo ONLY: NOPE! No way! NEVERAGAIN! I am no Gumbo connoisseur, but I know GOOD gumbo. This AIN’T it! There is some flavor or ingredient that they put in their gumbo that I STRONGLY dislike. It tastes like WORCESTERSHIRE sauce or VINEGAR! Also, I understand you want to be fancy by putting parsley on your rice, but please STOP! Many people cannot taste parsley, but I can. The rice was gummy and the parsley flavor was too minty, mixed with that Vinegar«gumbo»! It was just yuck. I like THICK gumbo and this place serves THIN gumbo. The consistency is like chicken broth. Some people make a «broth-like» gumbo” and some like a «gravy-like» gumbo. I can overlook consistency if the flavor is good, but nope! It was literally like thin Worcestershire sauce mixed with rice! The only thing I dislike about GUMBO, is that everyone has their own twist. So, just because you are from«the boot»(Louisiana), does not mean you can make good gumbo. My friends from Lafayette recommended this place and LOVE the gumbo! However, there is some flavor, I can’t get down with it. Many people may like it, but I don’t!

Excellent rue for the Étouffée, catfish very fine, salads top notch, flavorful green beans, and the bread pudding was to die for. Reggie the cook made everything just right. Freshly cooked and served. Small strip center on the outside, but the food is awesome. Near the Intercontinental airport worth a trip.

As the usual, I allow my fellow Unilocalers to steer me towards delicious finds. I was very impressed with this place. I ordered the Combeaux Po boy with crawfish and oysters, which came with french fries and my Fiancé ordered the Fish and shrimp basket. Oh we also bought some Zapp’s Voodoo potato chips! So in case you want to know what Voodoo chips taste like, it’s a mixture of vinegar and sweet that you can’t stop eating… you don’t know what overcomes you. Lol, very fitting. Anyways, the manager(or owner… not sure) came around to check on us. He did a wonderful job of making sure we felt super welcomed. We also got to try a bit of the gumbo before our food was ready. The gumbo was SOOOOO good, I could only imagine it to be a really filling and scrumptious meal over some rice. Moving on to our orders, they looked very well put together, and the perfect amount of food. There was this spicy mayo on the poboy that gave it an extra kick as far as spice goes. The bread was nice and crunchy on the outside, and the tomatoes actually tasted great!(it’s hard to find a good tomato at a restaurant) I loved my food. My fiancé thought the breading on his fish and shrimp was awesome and although the french fries don’t look like they will fill you up, the guy gave up on them cause he was so full. Yet another successful meal!

I stopped by this place because I saw alot of the reviews that were suggesting the fried catfish. Staff was friendly. Place was clean. I ordered the catfish and a pistolette to go. The catfish was really good. Fresh, seasoned well and cooked just right. The catfish alone is a 5 stars. I also had a crawfish pistolette but unfortunately that was not good. The crawfish was soggy and it didnt taste or look fresh. I eat crawfish alot so I know the difference. The bread they used was sweat and the sauce in the middle was pretty bland nothing spectacular. I wouldn’t mind giving it another try for the other platters available.
