I stay out of town alot. I usually love this place. Although it’s the not nearly as busy as the others I’m used to. This always throws up a red flag on service and healthy habits. I came here my last time in town. I ordered an original and waited forever to the tune of 30 minutes. I will say I was handed a sandwich I took it then they said there system was down and didn’t charge me. I was like cool free stuff right? Wrong… The sandwich was old the vegetables lettuce was off and I threw it away after arriving at my destination, out so I wasn’t sick. I’m debating giving them another chance ever at this point. I’m hoping it was a one time thing.

Schlotzsky’s is no mystery — there are plenty of them around. And while I still fondly remember my first Schlotsky sandwich in Austin many years ago, I’m not necessarily a regular or a huge fan. However, this location had such great service, I had to take the time to comment. First, let’s note that Schlotsky’s in general is not known for speed. They obviously make your sandwich to order, but even given that, their locations can be… slow. On this visit, our large group arrived at the same time as a couple of other groups, so I was prepared for the worst. Not only did they get our meals out quickly(and correctly, and deliciously), but all the staff we exceptionally friendly and helpful. The employees earned this 4-star review.
