I review this with 1 caveat. Make sure you go at a normal dining time. IMO all buffet/cafeteria style restaurants lack service and a cornucopia of food during off-times. My experience with this Huntsville location has overall been very good. I am a bit disappointed in the price hikes a couple times in the past 3 years(in fairness, Huntsville previously had lower prices than the other locations). I eat there on the average once a month. It is actually one of the very few restaurants in Huntsville to actually have REAL food! On very few occasions am I dissatisfied with either the food or service. Believe me, I am a super hard person to please when it comes to eating out. If you are trying to save money you will want to go during the week or look for specials like«Two for Twenty» and avoid evenings. For weekday lunches this is a great place for excellent, healthy and reasonably priced food.

I’m not usually a fan of Golden Corral, but this one impresses me. The food is better than all the others I’ve been to. I know it is buffet, but I have been several times and actually enjoy going. The place isn’t over run with run amuck kids when I’ve gone, the food was tasty, and the service good. Though they did jack the price up because of the added«breakfast» items which in my opinion, aren’t worth the added cost. But the food is good and doesn’t taste like buffet food.

The waiter was the only thing good in this Golden Corral. I travel from city to city and Golden Corral was a good place for a good variety till I stopped at Huntsville Tx. This place was the worst one I have ever been to. Maybe it’s because of it being in east Texas so close to the Louisiana boarder so you know how businesses are about raising the price do to the fact so many people scam but I expect all the food not to have been sitting under the warming lamp for hours and the steaks to be cut up a put with gravy. All I expect is if I pay a price I get what I pay for.

For being recently remolded its still got a long way to go. The service is slow and not very helpful. The food itself wasn’t bad just what you expect for cafeteria food

I would give this 0 stars if I could. For two buffets with drinks it was $ 26 before 4pm, which I thought might be cheaper since it was still considered lunch time.(Turns out the only difference was they had not started serving steaks and grilled meat yet. As we were leaving those foods were getting started to be served, but our meat choices during the time we ate was limited to dry fried chicken, Chinese chicken, popcorn shrimp and fried catfish). The rolls were rock hard, all the food was absolutely disgusting, dry, over cooked and heated to rock hard and inedible and the variety sucked. The only thing I ate was sauteed mushrooms and my DH ate only popcorn shrimp and a part of a salad. On top of horrible food, employees and management did nothing when over hearing complaints. After recent renovations the dinning area was sweltering hot and there was flies everywhere. Will never eat here again…

This is the worst buffet it’s ever been my displeasure to visit. To start with, we couldn’t even find a clean table. Had to wipe down the table myself. We arrived at 2 or 3pm, but the buffet looked like it had been cleared out like it was closing time. The salad bar and baked goods were well stocked, but everything else was nearly finished. There was only one tiny slice of pizza left, and they didn’t make another one the whole time I was there. Not everything at the salad bar is labeled, so you have to play a guessing game and hope that white goop is sour cream. The ranch dressing tasted extremely watered down, and so did the«ice cream». The ribs and meat were nearly room temperature, and after one bite, were completely cold. There is no way this place is operating up to health code. I had nausea and diarrhea for the rest of the night. It cost nearly $ 30 for a buffet for two and one soda. I still regret wasting that money. We had gone there as a special treat, but clearly I would’ve been better off staying home and eating peanut butter and jelly. I sent an e-mail complaint to them, and never got an e-mail back. I past this place recently and it’s «closed for renovations». Hopefully it stays closed permanently.

Everything was bad, not held up to usual Golden Corral standards.

A pretty good buffet. Good catfish, and the gooey chocolate cake is outstanding.
