This is the worse El Pollo Loco ever!!! I keep trying to give them a chance but they disappoint every time. I frequent a lot of El Polo Locos. I love their chicken avocado burrito. This place is inconsistent. Either the tortillas are stall, there’s hardly any avocado, they forget the chips, don’t ask me if I want salsa, forgets the salsa and today my burrito was COLD and had small chicken bones!!! The employees obviously do not care about their customers and the owner does l not condition employees to think of quality of service and product! The rating on Unilocal is evident to the lack of passion this owner has for his business. I will not be returning and will drive out of my way to another location to satisfy my craving.

Came here at 9:00 p. m wanting to order inside. Looked at the sign, apparently they close the dining area at 10:00 pm. Tried to open the door, but it was locked and it looked like people were cleaning up already. I went to the drive through instead. I didn’t mind the lack of emotion and look of melancholy on the faces of the women workers until I received shitty service and attitude for no reason from one of them who seemed to be much younger. Asking for salsa was like pulling teeth. She didn’t ask me whether I wanted any or not, and when I asked, she couldn’t even wait for me to finish my sentence and walked away, only getting a few of the salsas I wanted. I was in the middle of asking her for extra sauce when she walked away again, not letting my finish my sentence. If she had just let me finish my sentence the first time, she would have known exactly what and how many sauces I wanted. I get it, you hate your life – but don’t treat me like a nuisance. Will never be back here again because of the atrocious customer service. Tip to the worker: get a new job

A standard El Pollo Loco location. They have a drive thru and are open late. I’ve never had bad service here. The employees are friendly and the salsa bar is always stocked. I’m not sure why the reviews are so low. I’ve never gotten sick from dining here and I’ve always done pick up and take out so I can’t comment on dining in, but see nothing outrageous standing out to me. Everything looks clean. Love their chicken, family meals and healthy options!

I would always order at the drive thru but today it happend to be closed. I went inside for the first time and i can see why they get a low rating. Dirty tables, salsa bar not clean and the cashier at front seemed irritated. They did get my order wrong but was in a hurry so i didnt say anything. Advice… stick to the drive thru and order few items.

Worst service ever. Slow. There were only 3 cars in the drive thru and each took over 10min and the workers had poor communication skills. They had me waiting longer because they forgot an item in my order. Don’t come unless it’s the end of the world and you have already scavenged the nearby dumpsters.

The only thing more loco than their citrus-marinated chicken is their crazy good service. I eat here at least twice a month. I could go on and on about their mouth-watering menu, but rest assured, walk in with $ 7 and you will feast like the King of Mexico. They have this little bell that you can ring on your way out whenever you receive exceptional service. Frankly, I’m surprised it hasn’t fallen off the hook from all the use. Salsa bar is clean and remains filled. I am a man and therefore only require the left side of the bar(spicy avocado and red hot crack sauce). The right side is mild and pico de gallo for m’lady, whenever I have the pleasure of bringing her here to celebrate our anniversary. My only suggestion for the franchise is to invent a new salsa. You got green. You got red. Why not yellow? But, none of that mango or strawberry fruity salsa, please. If I wanted dessert I’d walk across the street to Donut Star. PS: Just kidding. I’d order the churros.

I have El Pollo Loco once in a while, i went there yesterday tho and the lady in the front her name was Susana was not friendly at all, dunno if she had a bad day or what but she was grumpy and after taking my order her and the manager kept yelling and arguing in front of the customers. I got the 2 piece meal, chicken was kind of dry tho, this place is always a hit or a miss but it is the only one around my area.

Zero stars If I could! Worse el pollo spot you can go to! Been here several times and every time they’re out of chicken. First I thought it was cause I came late at night but then it happened during the day time also. Save your money and find another spot. If you live in the area you’re better off waiting until they shut down and a new restaurant takes their place.

Came here for lunch with my co-worker since we worked nearby. This place was kept clean and the salsa bar was just restocked(yes!). I ordered the 2 piece combo, leg and thigh with 2 sides(rice and mac and cheese), 2 tortillas and a soda for roughly $ 7. I could’ve sworn it used to be 3 tortillas a looooong time ago. I was content with the way everything tasted and I didn’t have to rush to the bathroom right afterwards, so no complaints there! I cannot express how much I love the pico de gallo there. and the fact that it’s unlimited, makes me so happy.

I am a fan of El Pollo Loco but this specific location I didn’t enjoy so much. The cashier taking my order seemed to have trouble understanding my order. I was trying to get 2 orders of the 3 course family meal deal. I also tried to ask her about an item I’ve had at El Pollo Loco a couple months before but didn’t see it on the menu this time but she didn’t seem to know what I was referring to. My order ended up being a little bit mixed up as I got 1 of the 3 course family meal deals and then 1 separate regular family meal deal. I also had wanted both orders to be just legs and thighs but was told that due to their supply/availability that I would have to get 1 mixed chicken family deal and 1 leg and thigh family deal. Other than that, price was standard as you would expect from other locations and salsa bar was adequate. I just felt the service/knowledge/supply a bit lacking but maybe that was just an unlucky day. We’ll see next time.

More than 6 months has passed. Ready to give it another try. Thinking they might have improved. Boy, am I wrong. Tried shrimp salad this time. It is a $ 7+ salad. So you think it should be decent. Turned out, it is a glorified side/personal salad usually found in hamburger shops — glorified means a piece of avocado and 5 – 6 chewy shrimps added. The amount of salad is small. With the same amount of money, you should go to either the Souplantation(on Main St., south of Jamboree) or Baja Fresh(on Main St. north of Jamboree). They are both about two blocks away. If you have time for a sit-down meal, Souplatation is good. For quick lunch during workdays, Baja Fresh is twice better than El Pollo Loco. Don’t waste you money hear. Baja Fresh has better shrimp salad and better chicken salad, period.

This is my semi-healthy fast food go-to. You can’t go wrong with their OG Pollo Bowl and you gotta slather on the avocado-jalapeño salsa. I also really like the new healthy options. This place keeps me coming back because it’s convenient, relatively cheap, and good eats.

The purpose of this review is to uncover the truth behind the new Skinny Chicken Quesadilla. LOL I am a true fan of El Pollo Loco. I’ve tried many of your menu options and have enjoyed almost all of them. I was very disappointed when you removed the chicken quesadillas from your menu several years back, but the recent updated versions have all been very good(avocado Quesadilla is awesome!). sadly, today I tried the Skinny Chicken Quesadilla. Flavoring was great, but it is far from a quesadilla. Not only was I unable to grab a piece with one hand while driving, but I also was unable to find any melted cheese in it! cotija cheese was a nice touch, but clearly not the same. It was like eating a deconstructed wrap. Very disappointed. This will not stop me from eating at your healthy option establishment, but I will certainly be very happy to see this unfortunate corporate boardroom creation.

Ell Pollo Loco is the best tasting/healthiest«fast» food chain around, this review is strictly for the service/food at this particular establishment here at: 88 corporate park, Irvine, CA92606 I have come here at least twice a week for 6 months so I feel I got a pretty good grasp on how service is around here. The food that I eat here is incredibly inconsistent. I eat at the same time every time I come here, I see the same faces back there every single time, so I don’t understand how I get different food. Sometimes the corn is watery, sometimes the chicken is dry, sometimes food is barely warm, sometimes the salad has wilting/browning lettuce, sometimes the salsa bar runs out, sometimes my food takes a long time to come, sometimes they forget parts of my order. It seems like there is always something negative about my experience at this place. Today, I received a breast of chicken so dry, it was sucking the saliva out of my mouth as the skin was cutting my throat trying to swallow it. First time in my life I had to return food back to a fast food place. The real kicker was that they replaced my chicken breast with the most succulent piece of meat I have ever had. I wish they were all like this. Also, their creamy cilantro sauce that I have been getting for awhile was incredibly watery. I hope that was just a mistake and they didn’t make changes to their recipe… They really need to work on quality control and they really need to train their employees better.

I love El Pollo Loco food but the service at this location is terrible. The employees need better training to improve food preparation and customer service. I get inconsistent preparation of food. Many times I have ordered the pollo bowl and it only 8 small pieces of chicken. Yesterday I bought the steak burrito and it only had 2 pieces of steak(I am not exaggerating) and 1 piece of avocado. Not all El Pollo Loco locations are like this so I guess I will start driving further to other locations. It’s not worth arguing with people who have access to your food. Health Note: There are some healthy options here but look up the nutrition before you order. I stopped ordering beans and rice because it has 1,000+mg of sodium. Why it has so much sodium I don’t know? It really shouldn’t. Order the vegetables instead.
