I REALLY liked this place. I knew it had to be good when I arrived close to 1:00 pm and all the tables were full and the line was wrapped back almost to the door. It seemed to be moving pretty good and a crowd like that is usually a good sign so I stayed and tried them out… and I was sure glad that I did! They have a pretty creative array of «Ours» menu suggestions, such as the NOLA, The Kale-fornia, Washington State, Atlantis, Southwest, Metropolitan Cobb, Lone Star, Shanghai, Pacific Beach, Plymouth Rock, Tejano Caesar, or the Classic Caesar, or you can make it «Yours» by selecting your own ingredients. Once you choose your selection, they make it into a salad or into a Bread Zeppelin and stuff the sandwich with the chopped ingredients that you have chosen. I personally chose the Metropolitan Cobb and it was delicious. I was tempted by the«new» creation, The Buffalo Chicken, but did not try it, so I now have a great excuse to go back! If you are looking for a healthy alternative to your normal routine meals, I suggest you give them a try!

The only reason that I didn’t give them a 5 star was because of the LONG line, which I guess is not really the fault of the establishment. I arrived at 11:00 on a weekday and the line was out the door. The staff is working very fast and they do a great job! I had the build your own salad bowl and it was yummy. I believe that all salads should be chopped, so I like the method. I did not have the zeppelin, b/c I don’t need the extra calories(240!). I’ll go back.

Love the setup of this place! During lunch hour it stays pretty packed… I’d go after 1:30 as the rush tends to slow down just a bit. The way it flows is pretty simple… choose your bed of lettuce, toppings, they chop or ‘blitz’ it up for you, add a drizzle of desired dressing and boom, you’re done. You can create your own or choose off of the menu. I like the pacific beach salad… all fresh ingredients, avocado, artichokes, cherry tomatoes, cucumbers. I think places like this you would think would be a tad disorganized with veggies flying everywhere but they really handle it all well. Service is very efficient, personable and friendly. I have yet to try the salad sandwich but the salads themselves are massive and chopped up with goodness! Perfect for lunch or a light dinner.

Super long line during the lunch rush, but it does move. Highly recommended to come early if you can though. I opted for just the salad bowl w/kale, spinach, dried currants, cotija cheese and some other items(you can choose up to 4 without additional charges I think), which cost $ 6.99, then I added avocado for an extra $ 1.19(a little on the steep side but you get a good amount). They have a ton of different ingredients and dressings to choose from, and a few proteins(for an additional charge, of course), so you can really customize your salad however you want it. There is also an option to get your salad in a «Zeppelin», and they hollow out a mini baguette and stuff your salad in there. I tried a bite of my coworkers and the baguette was too crunchy for my liking, so I would stick to the salad bowl. There is some seating inside, but not a lot, so it’s recommended to take your order to go. They also have salad concoctions that you can choose from if you don’t feel like making your own salad. I will definitely be back in the future for more salad! Parking can also be tough, especially during the lunch hours since they have a few different restaurants in this plaza.

So good! This is the Chipotle of salads and I’m sad I’ve lived nearby for 4 months without trying this place. I actually went twice in 3 days because of how good my Zeppelin(sandwich essentially) was the first time. You have many options that are pre-designed or you can create your own. The process is quick and there is a significant amount of seating if you’d like to enjoy your huge salad there. I have tried two signature menu items thus far, but I think I’ll be making my own on my next trip. I have to admit that I’m a little overwhelmed with all the options because there is anything you could possibly want in this place. They have dressings I’ve never heard of and the bread was phenomenal. My only con is that on my second trip I had to ask for more veggies(3 cucumber slices isn’t going to cut it on a large salad), but I think the girl helping me was new and she was polite when I asked for more. Easy fix. Tip: tell them to stop with the dressing before you think there is enough. They listened to what I asked for, but the amount can be deceiving in that large bowl. Thanks y’all!

I came here when this place first opened and I didn’t like the idea of the zeppelin. I thought it looked super weird. Lol so I just got a regular Ceasars salad. I did throw in the steak bc omg that’s awesome. Great salad. I hadn’t been back there since the until today. I went today and got the zeppelin. Good lord. I didn’t know what I was missing!!! That was the bomb!!! I forgot how they chop up the salad Into tiny pieces then stuff it into the bread. So good! Genius!!! I also got the tomato basil soup today. I think I found my new fav soup!(sorry LA madeline). I can’t wait to go to work tomorrow so I can go again :)

Never heard of this place before so I decided to try it out. You are welcomed in from the staff upon entering. They have a wall with names of different salads you can choose from or you have option to make your own masterpiece. Staff at this location were unfriendly as I stated this was my first time and any suggestions would be welcomed. She stated you can either pick one from the wall or make your own? Ok so I decided to try one from the wall. As the staff was making my salad they were making inappropriate comments to each other… not cool while customers in store. However the salad was good but it was pretty costly for a small portion which cost me $ 10.00. Have the place 3 stars because of staff but will probably go back and try different options.

This review is on the bread alone. Yes it is that good! I’m convinced that Jesus sent this dough from the heavens above. When they say Jesus broke bread… I imagine THIS is what it tasted like! I can definitely say this is the best sandwich bread I have EVER had. Trust me, I know good bread when I taste it. I’ve been a carb-a-holic my whole life… I’ve tried to quit but it’s just not in the stars for me. I really hope I’m not disappointed next time I visit and that it is the exact same soft warm bread with just the right amount of crispy on the outside. Yum! Can’t wait to try the salads. If those are good too I’m a customer for life!

As you can tell by my profile, I’m a meat and potatoes kinda guy… so when my wife asked me to go to a salad place for dinner, I was little hesitant. The caveat, if I’m not full from this salad, she owes me a burger! So with that said, I was not only full but I was surprised at how good my salad was. I went with the Make-Your-Own-Salad option where I picked the type of lettuce, 6 salad topping, and a protein(for a charge). I was about 5 minutes to late, because after seeing the guys salad behind me, called The Lone Star, I had food envy. I asked the guy, «are those onion rings on your salad?» He said, «Yep! Where else can you get a salad with fantastic steak covered in onions rings?!?» Good question, because I never knew you could(until I went here)! So I would recommend this place to anyone… they have so many options for you to choose from and all their dressings are home made. The thing that I truly enjoyed is that they take all of the ingredients that you selected and they chop them up, so that every bite you have a little of everything… which is AWESOME! Moral of the story: Fellas, don’t be upset if your wife asks you to go to a salad place for dinner… because there are steak, onion rings, and a lot of flavor to help you out!

I’m gonna give this place 3 stars just because it’s so dang expensive for soup and salad. I don’t understand what the hype is about… Maybe it’s the salad stuffed in bread? Maybe it’s the fact that they chop it and mix it up for you? *shrugs* Either way, I probably won’t be going back unless I really want a big ass salad and cup of soup for $ 16. I mean don’t get me wrong, the salad I got was good, but it wasn’t worth the price. I ended up getting the Metropolitan Cobb in a bowl and a cup of their Chicken Tortilla Soup. The soup was ok… Mediocre at best. And the salad was good, but nothing I would crave. The girl who put my salad together looked bored and sleepy. She kept yawning while she was gathering the ingredients together, and she almost left out one of the ingredients the Metropolitan Cobb came with. I had to ask her if she put it in. The guy who chopped up my salad, and the other guy who rang me up were nice. Overall, I give this place a 3 out 5 stars. Now if you want a damn good Cobb salad, I recommend you go to Enchilada’s off Greenville Ave… Yeah I know, it’s a Mexican place but damn their Cobb salad is the bomb!

Solid spot to grab lunch. Chopped salad with the option to stuff it into a bread bowl, what could be better? The portions are inconsistent. There’s so many other great options in the area, but this place is worth a try.

I’m obsessed with Snappy Salads and decided to try this place out to see how it compares. I will say I do like the option to turn your salad into a sandwich, although I stuck with the bowl for comparison’s sake. To the people complaining about the portion size: you’re being kind of petty. My bowl wasn’t completely full, but it was still more than enough to fill me up. The price is reasonable compared to the amount of food you get, however they charge extra for bacon, which is not an extra charge at Snappy. I love that they chop the salad up before mixing it. The food itself is very good; the ingredients are fresh and crisp. I will say that Snappy’s ingredients do taste better. I think it’s the dressings that make the difference. I’m not sure if they are housemade here or not. They’re not bad, his not as good as Snappy. Also, the employees are not so nice and friendly here. I didn’t have any customer service issues, they’re just not inviting or friendly. Keep in mind, they are high school/college-aged kids, so I don’t expect much, lol. However, it would be nice to have a friendly greeting when walking in. I worry about this generation. They have no social skills because they’ve been dependent on technology and social media as forms to communicate their entire lives. But that’s another story, for another day. Lol. Overall, Bread Zeppelin is pretty good. I probably would not go back for a salad, just because I prefer Snappy, but I would definitely go back to try the salad sandwich.

Great college concept brought to the Metroplex. I’ve been several times and went again today. Im taking a star off since there’s limited seating and theres always a line but it moves really faster. You have two options: (1) a salad bowl (2) a Zeppelin(artisan baguette hollowed out) stuffed w/ingredients. There’s plenty of choices available or you can build you own. As a base, you can select spinach, kale, romaine, spring mix and iceberg. Some of my favorites: the Kalifornia, the Atlantis and the Mediterranean. There’s approximately 20+ dressings. Either a bowl or a Zeppelin will fill you up for $ 10 or less. The staff is courtesy and fast. Good eats.

I love this place. I had to do everything in my power today to not return to Bread Zeppelin for a third day in a row. I would eat here everyday if I had a money tree and I had enough patience to bare the massive lunchtime crowds. Arrive around 12 on a weekday and you will wait in line for a minimum of 20 minutes. It’s worth it though! This lovely shop’s primary purpose is to serve up delicious salads(accompanied by a bread roll), however, they can modify any salad into a sandwich — referred to on the menu as Zeppelin. They create the zeppelin by taking a short bread loaf(like french bread but not french bread) and then hollow it out with a pair of metal tongs. Then they blitz your salad and stuff it back into the loaf with the tongs.(Side note: How long is it going to take before the first carpal tunnel lawsuit comes forth due to the blitzing action required by the employees?). I order the«southwest chicken as a zeppelin,» or maybe it just called«southwest chicken zeppelin»? I haven’t figured out the terminology quite yet and I don’t think I ever will and I don’t care. The important thing is that they know what I want. The only reason for four stars instead of five is because I think they are slightly overpriced. Sure, $ 9 for a salad is about right but $ 8 for the zeppelin is about $ 1 too high because the consumer only gets about 33% of a regular salad(can only stuff so much salad into the loaf).

I love this place. If you can make it beyond the loooonnnnnggg line, you’re in for a treat! They have a wonderful selection of fresh ingredients. You can choose from one of their standard offerings or create your own. Start with the greens, then veggies /fruit, on to the protein /cheeses. They chop it all up add your choice of dressings(they have a lot) and stuff it into a fresh crusty bread roll(Zeppelin) or put it back into the bowl — your choice. When I get the bowl, i usually ask for some of the bread ends or insides they remove from the roll. The employees are nice and quick. The business could use a little more space, but that hasn’t stopped me from going.

After leaving a review about the noticeable decrease in portion size, the owner reached out to inform me he wasn’t aware this was happening and would be sure to rectify the situation. Sure enough, my coworker’s salad showed me that the portion sizes have gone back to the generous servings I remembered from my past visits. Keep it up, Bread Zeppelin! Definitely my favorite salad bar and so happy to see things improving. :)

I’m a regular at this location. I come here about once or twice a week as you can tell from my check in totals. The portions have been inconsistent. Sometimes you get full tub and sometimes you get less. I’ve gotten half a bowl full couple of times. The first time, I let it slide because I’ve had great service every other time. But the last two times I came in my bowl have not been full after they chop. I pay full price so I think I should get what I pay for. Not to mention I always get tofu so that’s extra. I end up paying $ 10+ for a half empty bowl. Not a happy customer anymore. I came in at 4:30PM today when they weren’t busy. When I got almost half full bowl, I told cashier my bowl is not full and he said«but its so good though» does that justify me getting rip off? I don’t think that is fair. Dear Owner, I have a few ideas to help you if I may. Please don’t take offense, I only want to make this place better because I love this place! Background process: So you pick your ingredients and they measure it in a plastic bowl. Obviously the greens are going to be more full because they havent been chopped. The portion goes down after chopping because the greens are in smaller pieces and not cushioned for space of the bowl. The bowl will look full before the chop but once its chopped, you get less. They have to overflow the bowl for you to get the full portion. Overflowing the bowls means the toppings might fall out. Employees will not overflow the bowl with greens because they don’t want the toppings to fall out. They then dump all the ingredients in the bigger metal bowl for mixing after the chop. Here are my solution ideas. My ideas for solution: Idea #1. Perhaps use the metal bowls through out the whole process and eliminate the plastic bowl as measurement because sometimes customers don’t always get full portion. I’m well aware that this could cause high expense in buying more greens because the metal bowls are way bigger. Employees could go crazy and put a lot of greens in the bigger bowl. Might have to end up throwing out the extra after chopping if they don’t fit the plastic bowl. If employees are extensively trained to pick enough greens for a full portion without throwing out the extras after chopping using the metal bowl, it will be fine. Idea #2. Use the plastic bowl to measure all the greens but transfer it to the metal bowl right before picking the toppings. That way the customers will get full portion after chopped and all the toppings will not fall out of the bowl during the process. Employee then move both bowls down to the chopping station. I’d be happy to lend my consultant experience for free. Call me! :)

This was our first time here; we found out about it the other day but didn’t have time to make the drive. I was very excited to go today though. It’s a little store in a shopping strip and inside is pretty modest, but it smells really good. I got the Southwest because I knew I would like the flavors no matter what. The first thing you notice is that all of the ingredients look super fresh. I have never been anywhere with this food line format where when you order avocado, they scoop it out of the actual avocado and it’s not pre-cut slices in a tub. They also put a TON of ingredients shoved into your Zepplin, a toasted bread roll that broke my heart(but just because you watch them scoop the carby goodness out of the roll and into a trash bin for just bread insides. I wanted to ask if we could just buy the bread guts. I would eat those. All. Day. Even though all of the bread was scooped out, I loved my Zepplin. You can taste the freshness and you feel like you’re eating healthy, but it’s also a filling meal that is absolutely delicious. For a Zepplin, chips, and a drink, it was just over 11 bucks which I think is a really good deal. We will definitely be back to try other varieties.
