This is a pretty epic place. Those Montana’s are large and filling. Delicious food, but come about 15min-20min early because there is a decent line.

Went here on a Sunday afternoon and the service was terrible. The restaurant was barely busy by this point of the day. The waitress we had was tending somewhat to other tables but not to ours. I had to ask the gentleman at the front to get us waters after waiting about 15 minutes and then I asked him where our waitress was. Yep, it ended up being the same lady who had walked by use multiple times. I then had to ask her three times to bring me a side of tartar sauce for french fries. When it was time to leave, we waited 20 minutes for our check, which I had to ask for about two times. She even looked right at us multiple times. I’m not sure what her deal was. You could tell other tables were getting annoyed as well. She would also disappear to the back of the restaurant for like 5 minutes at a time. On top of that the food was nothing special. I got the chicken fried steak… the steak was eh and the gravy was gross. We will never be back and I suggest you go elsewhere. I’d recommend North Bend Bar and grill several more miles up the road. Their service and food is far better. You’ve been warned. The only reason I’m giving two stars is because of the awesome guy working the cash register who got me my coke, our waitress and our check. Essentially he did her whole job.

We came here for pancakes. They don’t have pancakes in the evening because they use that part of the grill for dinner items. Ok, whatever. I got an omelette for dinner. It was fine. This is the only place in Issaquah other than IHOP that serves breakfast items all day, so it’s good for that. Good service also.

Saturday and Sunday morning breakfast here is awesome! Portions are huge, so if you would like a little bit of everything for a lower price try the ‘Trucker Combo’.

Food was acceptable. Great diner vibe! Nothing was cooked to my request. Steak was well done, asked for mid-rare. I’m not typically a squeaky wheel, unless it’s a real mad screwup, or a high end place. That’s why I didn’t ask for a new one. Our server was great, no complaints there. Food was a little over priced given the lack of quality and flavor.

Just going to spread some love about the attentive servers, the amazing pancakes, and the reasonable prices. Avoid IHOP and come here, you won’t be disappointed.

Now this is a fabulous breakfast place! Friendly staff, delicious food & quick service. My husband & I tried them out & liked it so much we had to come back with the whole family the very next day. Their Montana & Vegetana are delicious & everybody else thoroughly enjoyed their food. We will def be back for sure!

Classic American diner. It’s a small space so weekends can have a wait for a breakfast table. Charming 50s décor with old planes on the walls and an open area to see the kitchen. Dinner specials every night. Their Friday night prime rib is spectacular. The chicken fried steak is great as well. But they’re best at breakfast which they serve all day. Big scrambles, omelets, quiche, and French toast and all of it delicious. Great local place any time!

I seem to post about places I like, this is 2nd time here once with wife and now with my daughter and it’s been good. I feel it’s very home cooking good and feel the fresh taste. I just get the tradional with 2 eggs, ground beef patty, with potatoes. Haven’t been to too much breakfast places but this one has everything I like!

Great breakfast spot in the Issaquah area. Typical diner type food and fairly fast service. crowded weekends for breakfast. My fav is the trucker combo with scram eggs!

Solid… Liked portion sizes, good flavors, fresh, piping hot off the grill, swift, efficient service. I had the fresh omelet, with a slice of sourdough– served hot with a lot of flavor. He had the chicken fried steak — steak was perfectly cooked, the gravy could have a little more flavor, scrambled eggs with cheese well cooked. And a Mickey Mouse pancake for the little dude. Wished there were more options on the menu; but still a solid choice for a weekend breakfast in Issaquah!

This place is right in the mall area next to Target in Issaquah. Popular for breakfast and brunch. It has a diner like ambience, with similar menu on offer. The prices are high, but portions are fairly generous. But the food is very average. We ordered a veggie burger with avocado, and sweet potato fries and a special of the day — sausage scramble with house potatoes, and a side(we got biscuit). The potatoes had been made earlier in the day and just warmed up. The sausage scramble was ok, but nothing to obsess over. The server was friendly and came by to ask if I wanted jelly with the biscuit. The veggie burger was nicely sized and the sweet potato fries seemed freshly made. The veggie patty in the burger was bland and tasteless, expected I guess and we couldn’t eat much. The tables were not too clean and the server appeared rushed but she was friendly. That was perhaps the only redeeming grace of this place so I am giving it 3 stars. Otherwise, it would have been 2 stars for food. I prefer the nearby Egg and Us a little more over this place, although that one is no cheaper either. Sadly there is a dearth of good breakfast/brunch places in Issaquah.

If you like flies and subpar food, you’ve come to the right place. We were seated at a dirty table complete with dishes and the previous customers’ bill. Five minutes later, water comes and finally the table is cleaned. Husband orders a Contractor’s Omelette and I order the half Egg Salad Sandwich with a bowl of Clam Chowder. Food arrives and doesn’t look too bad. First bite of my egg salad sandwich, I discovered that it was made by frying a couple of eggs to over medium and then slabbing some good olé mayo on wheat bread… What? Clam chowder was bland and tasteless. Husband’s «5-egg» was more like a 2-egg omelette complete with a plethora of ham, onions, green peppers, olives and green onions just sitting cold inside this skinny egg wrap. Growing up in Issaquah during the 90’s, the 12th Avenue Café was well-known for decent food. That all changed moving into the new millennium… Looks like that hasn’t changed in 15 years. Try your luck for breaky at the Issaquah Café or the Egg & Us.

The perfect ending to an awesome hike. Over the weekend, my Fiancée and I went on the Poo Poo Point Hike not too far away from 12th. We wanted to try a different place and 12th Ave Café seemed to have a charm to it’s name. We were seated by our waiter Nate. We were tired and ready to eat. He was a great guy that answered all our questions, my Fiancée has allergies to certain food(Gluten Free). They had a great menu to accommodate her. Nate, was knowledgeable and thoughtful. I would go back again, we might not go on that hike though and settled for the meal instead.

My partner and I used to LOVE this place. However, recently we’ve noticed a young man working the register, I’m guessing in a «host» capacity, but you’d never know it from his poor attitude and lack of good customer service. We went in around 2 p.m. yesterday, and the same young man was working the register again. Immediately I was under the impression that either he didn’t care for us, didn’t care for his job, or just couldn’t be bothered to offer the slightest nod of courtesy or good cheer. Every other employee that’s worked at 12th Avenue Café has always been like extended family to us. We’ve always felt at home, and very welcome. Unfortunately, this hasn’t been the case since this young man arrived. It turns out he’s the son of the owner, which would explain his get-away-with-murder attitude, and why I’ve been getting the impression that he walks around like he owns the place, but doesn’t care for the clientele. He made great effort to give us unwelcome looks as we walked in, made an effort to set the coffee mugs on our table very firmly to show some odd display of irritation, and rolled his eyes at me when I ordered a large orange juice. He made sure to set that down very firmly as well; I thought it was going to tip over and spill. At this point I looked at my partner and suggested we leave. My mood was going down fast. We left without ordering food. What was once one of our favorite breakfast-all-day spots had become a sour experience thanks to a seemingly spoiled, unpleasant man-child. He obviously has no respect for the hard work his family had invested into the establishment. We really like some of the long-standing waitstaff that we’ve seen working there for several years, it made the limited menu all the more tolerable, but as long as that young man continues to work there, we will no longer set foot in that café. We can get food that is just as good, if not better, down the street at the Issaquah Café.

Came here with my family. And of course they were praising this place. Anyways they seated us quickly and my family already decided on there meal. On the other hand I asked for an extra 5 mins and told her to put in my families order. Her reply«are you I am very busy». Anyways I made my order 3 mins after. And waited. My family got their meals rather quickly. Lady made a mistake with my mothers order. But she fixed it quickly. It’s an okay place. FNothing too awesome though. food was descent overall.

Love this diner and its only a 2 minute drive from our house!!! Great customer service every time we come here. Been here for breakfast-Lunch & Dinner and it has always been great! Now, this diner is FAR from the Met, but it has great prices and really really good food! Sundays it is always packed for breakfast. We came here on a Thursday night for dinner. Wasn’t crowded at all so was immediately seated. My husband ordered the quiche and I had the meatloaf dinner which came with rolls and a salad. Only had to wait about 10 – 15 minutes for our food. 3 huge pieces of meatloaf smothered in gravy with mashed potatoes and a side of corn. LOVED I!!! So good, so filling… oy vey! Bill only came to $ 30 with tax. Love this place!!!

Fast service, good price, large portion… solid place for a family meal. I’ve lived in Issaquah area for 10 years and visited 12th Ave Café quite a few times. Finally I decided to take some time to write a review on it. 12th Ave Café definitely is a popular place. Every weekend at lunch time the place is packed with local people, and it was really hard to find a seat. For a local restaurant that has been there for more than 20 yrs, people just love it. The restaurant is in 50s retro dinner style and same as the food. They have variety choices of salad and soup, omelet, burger, sandwich, pasta… nothing fancy but all in very big portion and tastes delicious. The typical hearty American family lunch/dinner we all craving for once in a while. Here are a few my favorite dishes. Salad and soup, with fresh vegetable and today’s soup. For the coup, the best choice is clam chowder, which is rich, creamy with plenty fresh clams. Quiche of the day. For French pastry, the dish is very large sized with big slice of thick quiche and spuds. They do a quite decent quiche, which has crunchy skin and creamy fillings. One of my favorite choice. If you’re in the mood for some deep fried southern food, I’d suggest their chicken fried steak. It’s a very rich dish with chicken fry, two eggs and spuds. That’s lots of calories and you probably need to run 5K to burn them out. But when you crave for something greasy, this is definitely your choice. The quality of the food could be flaky sometimes, but generally it’s pretty consistent… at least for the weekend brunch. Same for the service. For our visits there, about 5 – 6 times, the waitress/waiter were always pretty attentive and friendly. The price is pretty good. Most dishes are around $ 10 or below. I’ve took pictures of the dishes and posted them here in Unilocal for your reference.
