Went there couple of times. When you order in person you get a decent sandwich but online they always forget something.

There are few food experiences that more closely resemble a refueling exercise than a mid-day visit to one of Subway’s ubiquitous outlets. And yet there we all were, 25 or more of us, crammed into this crummy little strip mall place, waiting our turn to play sandwich 20 questions. OK, so you know what you’re getting here, right? They lure you in with that delicious baking bread aroma, which is kind of like the bat signal apparently for the lunch crowd. And the next thing you know you’re making a million and one decisions to «configure» your sandwich. I hate that. I hate that they go through this exercise with every customer. Why not have a standard thing and then let people deviate if that want to? I want to eat a sandwich, not build a relationship with it. And I’m telling you, people can’t handle this kind of pressure. Have you ever been behind a mom with three young kids at the subway counter? Ever followed an old person through that line? Life is a fleeting, precious thing people, let’s speed it up. Sandwich. Chips. Drink. Done. One more question: When did a Subway combo become $ 11.50? For that kind of cheddar I could have had a REAL lunch…

Until recently, I would have given this location 3 stars. But I don’t think there’s an entire personality between them. No one greets you, or really says much of anything. The(I’m assuming) Mexican fellow who’s always there constantly looks like it’s the worst day of his life. Not friendly at all. I think there is one chick who’s actually nice, but I never seem to get her. Today I ordered a Meatball sub and some new chick totally ruined it. While she was putting the meatballs on she would hit the spoon against the side of the container, effectively knocking off all of the sauce. Um, hello, I wanted that sauce it’s part of the sandwich… so I ended up with dry meatballs and a rather bland sandwich –Yippie. Might be my last time there. Waste of 10 bucks.

Super sweet staff and in and out quickly. The food is predictable — and that’s a good thing, you know what you’re getting.

Almost walked out of here. There was no one waiting before us, so we began placing our order. My friend ordered without mishap. I made the mistake of seeing they offered an egg & cheese sandwich on the lunch menu. I asked about it stating I had never seen it before. The guy making the sandwich asked if I wanted yellow or white cheese. I had to ask him to repeat it as he had a thick accent, and their cheese choices are usually cheddar, American, provolone etc. So I answered cheddar. He turned and pulled out a tub of precooked omelettes. They did not look appetizing to me, so I told him never mind on that, I would order something else. His body language was such that I told him never mind at all. He backed off and I managed to order. Then it was time to pay. He moved on to the next customers and we waited for the girl at the register. She did not acknowledge us for a minute. She was busy with a calculator and the register. When she did acknowledge us she said she would be with us in a minute and continued with her calculations. She was apparently not able to resolve the problem, but did put it aside a minute later to ring us out. The whole experience was awkward. The sandwich was good, but it did not make up for the confrontational and dismissive service.

Originally I was okay with this store even though I felt that they had pretty bad customer service. After my visit today, I must change my rating to a 1, I would make it a 0 if I could. I went in to grab a quick lunch with a co-worker so I only had my debit card on me. As always, the main girl was unfriendly — as always. Once we went to pay the girl was having issue with the card reader and asked if I had cash — nope. So then I’m thinking don’t they have a back-up plan, you know the good ol’ manual card sweeper. They ask me to wait a few minutes, fine. At this point the line is getting really long and everyone is staring. The rude girl then asks«Can I just write down your credit card number and run it later when it’s back up?» SERIOUSLY!!! Talk about security issues! Why would I ever leave my CC # with all of the identity thief issues these days?! She then tells me I can go to an ATM and come back. Oh okay, so not only are you wasting my time but now I need to go to an ATM and be charged an ATM fee of $ 3 just so I can pay for my sandwich because YOUR system is down? NOTHANKS. I told her I’ll just go somewhere else and she glares at me and says that she can’t do anything with the sandwiches if I don’t come back. Well guess what — not my #%$^&) problem! It is unbelievable how bad the customer service is at this location and I will never step foot in there again.

I went here this morning and it was busy, I probably waited in line for at least five minutes which is totally fine. I do not mind waiting but I did not know how crucial time would be a factor in what I wanted to order. When it was my turn I ordered my usual breakfast combo and was told that they only serve it until 11 am and it was 11:05 am. I felt that they could have explained the new change in time of availability and the right customer service thing to do would be to honor it for the customer. Seems kind of ridiculous to lose a customer over 5 minutes. I won’t be back to this location.

Right now they are having a special on two 6-inch sandwiches, the meatball and the cold cut trio. I have been going to subway for over 20 years, and I felt jipped. It used to be you got meat on your sandwich. Now you get an overly thin slice of each of the meats for each kind of sandwich. Now my son ordered the meatball for me as I have never had it. Um, it had a slight fishy odor, but tasted just ok. For a hot sandwich on a cold day it was, um ok. I also got a cold cut, and I wasn’t kidding when I said the meat was thin… where’s the meat ads come to mind. The toppings were ok. The onions were old(like been in the fridge too long so they are super hot, we picked them off), their pickles are a poor excuse for pickles, the olives also tasted old. But the spinach was good. I love the different sauces available. For a quick cheap lunch it was ok. Just wish there was more meat on the sub… I might try the«Sub Shop» again to see how they compare

If I could give 0 stars, I would. Generally I NEVER complain. I don’t even like writing bad reviews, but these people earned it. At work today we sent one of our co-workers here to get us sandwiches. Well, 2 of the sandwiches they completely mixed up the ingredients. I’m a vegetarian, and on a wedding diet. If they had just put meat on it I would have picked it off, but it was smothered in some white creamy cause and an orange creamy sauce. Point being, there was no way I was going to eat this sandwich. Unfortunately the girl we sent didn’t keep the receipt. Being that I have not taken a single bite out of this sandwich, I figured I could take it back and have them re-make it. So, starving, staring at the gross sandwich infront of me I decide to call to see if they would remake the sandwich. They completely refuse and argue with me. I ask for the manager, same thing, no receipt, no sandwich. I am now sitting at a different subway, writing this review, about to enjoy the sandwich I wanted, now that I have paid $ 10 for my 6inch(full price both times, but I wasn’t about to complain to the subway that was not involved). I will never go to this subway(off Gilman) again, and the girls from my are on the same page. Thanks for such bad customer service. We would never treat ANY of our customers like that where I work.

I know they aren’t the most exciting sandwiches, but for the price, I have to say they’ve come a long way. They have decent quality ingredients, the store is clean, and the service is quick and friendly. Plus, for 5 dollars and change, I’m getting 2 meals. You make forgetting my lunch at home on a work day more bearable. P. S. It’s actually surprising how helpful their website is, if you’re looking to mix it up but you’re counting calories. Their fresh fit menu is extensive, and many of them are yummy. True, I’d love to be able to just get the meatball sub time and time again, but I’m not the young, invincible lad I once was.
