Slowest service of all time. Food mediocre at best. Wouldn’t give it the time of day. Food came out an hour after we ordered, And it was freezing cold. Margaritas were good. Maybe they are so slow so you will drink more and not notice the food Or service.

Open until 10pm not 11 pm. Food was okay. I did not feel any of our food was Mexican. A pretty big let down. The only real item I can give positive feedback to would be the margarita. Keep in mind each one costs about $ 10. Very small portions & probably the worst ‘mexican’ food I have had.

The good: Food is delicious. Enjoyed sharing the queso fundido, salsa, shrimp tacos and polenta with cream sauce. Washed it down with a killer Michelada and blackberry rosemary tequila cocktail. The bad: Chips are mediocre, portions are small(for hungry skiers at least!) and prices are a little high. Overall though I don’t think you can find better Mexican food than this in the valley and it IS Jackson so hey compared to real estate the food at Hatch is a steal! I would definitely recommend this place. Make reservations — it’s a popular spot!

Awesome atmosphere and great tequila! Awesome place. Staff is friendly and very knowledgable on tequila. Awesome happy hour prices and a great margarita! High end tequila. Guacamole is awesome and homemade chips taste great! Salsa has a kick!

All the tacos at this place were very good. Also I recommend getting the spicy margarita. The guacamole and queso dip were a disappointment. Try and avoid. If your looking for upscale delicious tacos this is your place. Not to many other options to choose from.

Great ambiance and cocktails(highly recommend the blackberry Rosemary margarita). Tortilla Chips were light and crisp, and paired nicely with the mild salsa and guacamole. I tried the polenta tacos — unique idea but not incredibly flavorful. Service was excellent.

For the price this place sucks. Pastor tacos are not al pastor. They taste like pineapple taco. Also I guess you have to flag down someone for a refill on the water. Should’ve just gone to Albertsons and grabbed some food there

BETTERTHANBESTSO-CALMEXICAN! I grew up on al pastor, Mexican cheese, pasilla chilis, and Hatch blew me away. The place is as authentic as it gets and the vibe is awesome. Stunning décor, friendly service and fantastic food. Please open a store in Palm Springs, California!!!

Great atmosphere, location, and service. Always happy with the menu, best margarita in town, and have never had to wait long for a table or food. Great outdoor option in summer. All around happy that hatch is here.

I visited Hatch with my wife, daughter, and son on Christmas Eve. The family had just flown into Jackson Hole that morning, and while walking around town in the afternoon, we found Hatch, so we made reservations for 8:15(a little later than we normally eat dinner because we had to wait at the hotel between 6:00 and 8:00 for the delivery of skis that never came). When we arrived for dinner, the restaurant was about ½ full. The décor is modern, but very warm. We were quickly seated, and within a minute, our waiter(Ben) was at the table serving water and asking about beverage orders. I started out(and ended up staying) with the traditional margarita, which was very good and reasonably priced($ 9, which is reasonable compared to Washington, DC prices). For appetizers, we ordered the guacamole for the table($ 10)(it was excellent), I ordered the beets appetizer($ 7), and my 15-year-old ordered the tortilla soup as an appetizer($ 6). The beets appetizer was large and very good. My 15-year-old loved the soup and allowed me to taste it – I thought it was very good, but a little salty for my liking. For our entrees, my wife ordered a salad with grilled chicken in it($ 10), I ordered the barbacoa tacos($ 10), my 13-year-old ordered the carne tacos($ 12), and my 15-year-old ordered the polenta($ 22) to share with me. Everyone was very happy with their food selection, and my 15-year-old and I thought that the guacamole and polenta were the best parts of the meal. The service was excellent, and the waiter and kitchen went out of their way to address my 13-year-old’s picky eating habits(basically meat, cheese, and beans/rice/pasta; no vegetables). Even though there was no rice on the menu, the waiter checked with the kitchen and they sent out a bowl of rice to accompany the beans. Overall, the family was very pleased with the dinner, and if we are ever back in Jackson Hole, we definitely will visit Hatch again, especially if we can get there for happy hour(I think between 4 and 6), which offers $ 5 margaritas.

Excellent choice for the famished skier. Need a reservation to get in most nights 6−8pm, but you can always sit at the bar and eat on first available basis. Excellent tequila choices, interesting Margaritas(had the Rosemary/Blueburry or something like that and it was delicious). Tacos are great, felt like I was back in Mexico. Prices are not bad either, same as having lunch on the slopes.(that didn’t include the margaritas either) Atmosphere is decent and upscale feeling for a Mexican place, you won’t be disappointed. Only downside was there were no mariachi to be found anywhere, so we had to sing and play ourselves.

We had the guacamole, lettuce wraps, and carne asada tacos for lunch, plus two margaritas. Other than the cocktails, this was across the board a bad meal at a bad price. The kitchen would be greatly benefited with a heavier hand when it comes to seasoning their dishes. The guacamole was the best part and was under salted. The chips were awful — chips are table stakes for a restaurant marketed like this one. The lettuce wraps were a train wreck. The sauce was overpowering and yet gave no flavor to the dish. The tacos were ok but lacked flavor even after applying a lot of salsa. In terms of service the waitress was great but the man greeting us(manager or owner maybe) was rude, taking phone calls instead of seating us and not making us feel welcome. This would have been a disappointing meal if the prices were half what they are but at the current prices the meal was a travesty.

My SO and I visited this restaurant on a Wednesday night in October. We had missed happy hour by about an hour. We basically had the place to ourselves. We started with house margaritas which were delicious! Fresh made sour mix. For an appetizer, we had guacamole with chips and tomato salsa(as opposed to tomatillo). Best guacamole I’ve ever had! The salsa had a delicious smoked chipotle flavor. For dinner, I ordered the chile relleno and he ordered the baked half chicken. They were both served with couscous and kale salad. The chicken was the better of the two. It was very tender and had wonderful flavor. The relleno was also delicious. My only reservation is the price point on all items. Each entrée reaches close to $ 25. The guacamole is $ 10. While it was all very good, I just don’t think it’s quite worth the price.

If like me you’re in Jackson and wondering where to go to grab a bite, GOTOHATCH! They are a new place in town having opened earlier this year. I had been out all day and was just coming back into town. I looked them up and decided to go in and I’m so glad I did. From the moment I walk in the door the staff was wonderful. Very friendly, engaging, warm, and you felt like you were among friends. I put in an order of chips and salsa, carne barbacoa tacos, and a margarita. My food was served in 5 minutes of ordering. I was really impressed. I decided to order the Hatch Margarita after seeing the reviews(some referred to this as the spicy one) such a fantastic drink! No mixes here! You can tell it’s housemade by the fresh flavors coming through making your taste buds dance with delight. It’s served on the rocks just the way I like ‘em! None of that blended foo foo stuff here! Next I had the chips with salsa, I asked for the tomatillo salsa. The chips are a great thickness and the perfect amount of salt, the salsa… Oh wow! The fresh lime, tomatillos, and combination of flavors it’s delicious! The carne barbacoa tacos weren’t what I was expecting but I don’t mean that in a bad way! Since I knew they were beef with mole I assumed the sauce would be over the meat, not mixed together. Good tacos, due to the sauciness they may have needed another taco! Haha! I admit I did eat some of the meat off of each taco with a fork due to how much was on them. See what I mean by not what I expected but still good?! Why do they get a 5? Because there was not one reason not to. Staff, cleanliness, atmosphere, food, beverages, well done Hatch! Bottom line, try them out. You won’t be disappointed, dare I say you’ll leaving smiling and glad you went. Out of the many establishments in town to choose from, I know I’m glad I went here!

Enjoyed dinner outside on the patio during a vacation to Jackson. Cute location downtown, prompt service on the last day of August. Food was decent, but we give it a B. Grapefruit and avocado salad was excellent, spicy guacamole was great. Tacos barbacoa were flavorful but the tortillas were blah, and the dorado ceviche was more avocado than fish — skip this one. Drinks are delicious and imaginative. Marg of the day(always a solid choice per Unilocal reviews) was peach mango, and we also tried grapefruit and the spicy marg. All three were great; balanced, sweet/salty, and full of flavor. The highlight of the evening was actually the live music — a local duo singing and playing acoustic and electric guitars — and the sunset visible from the front deck. Go get your drink on.

My family and I have been consistently impressed by the food in Jackson Hole… and being from Los Angeles, we were skeptical about how great this restaurant would be. But, we agreed that this was a solid 4-star dinner. We also agreed that the star of the meal was(oddly enough) the ELOTE! There was some originality on the menu, particularly in the drinks. Today’s special margarita was a spicy blackberry margarita, and it was delicious! That jalapeño infused tequila is worth trying! It may have been spicier than the salsa we enjoyed with the housemade chips! We ordered the Grapefruit & Avocado Salad to start, which was really fresh tasting with a great balance of sweet, tart and bitter. We also tried the tortilla soup, which had a nice kick to it. For our main course, we ordered the Tostadas Barbacoa, Tacos de Carne Asada, and Tacos al Pastor(technically not dinner entrees). All choices were pretty solid, and none of us were disappointed. My mom said her Carne Asada was better than what she has had in LA… and we have eaten a lot of carne asada! I personally enjoyed the Tacos al Pastor, which isn’t like what I’ve had in LA. The quality and texture of the pork, plus the addition of pineapple made it stand out. Our waitress was friendly and helpful, and the food came out quickly. Portion sizes were reasonable and great for sharing. Great, creative margaritas! Why not 5 stars? The prices were a bit high for the food(drink prices were reasonable, in my opinion), and it was pretty noisy and hard to hear in the restaurant. But… Very solid experience!

I am a Texas girl through and through so eating at a Mexican restaurant in WYOMING was a bit dicey. But… I’m gluten free and we were starving and running out of options. So we gave it a try. First of all — their wifi password was the best thing I’ve ever experienced. I didn’t have phone data for almost all of my road trip, so wifi is truly truly required in my life. I won’t post the password here, but it made my Texan heart happy. The food was outstanding. Bottled coke and pastor tacos and cold, delicious guacamole. It was the perfect fuel for our trek through Grand Teton shortly after.

This is about as good as it gets in Jackson for mexican food. The chips and salsa are good, the guacamole is fresh and the tacos are pretty much what you would expect from a good mexican place. You have to try the corn its very good. The habanaero sauce is very spicy so you have to be careful when ordering. The michelada could have used a little more flavor but it worked. 2 things I didn’t like: you cant mix and match tacos wtf! and they don’t allow dogs on the patio! You have to tie them up outside :/

If you are getting ready to enjoy your Jackson Hole holiday make sure to bookmark this spot for a Margarita break, because it will be just the taste tease that will make your stay fun and memorable. I had an exceptional margarita here, the rotating Margarita of the Day using coconut and raspberry. The fruit compote used was obviously real, fresh fruit, not syrup, and the toasted coconut touch was masterful. I couldn’t recommend indulging in their delicious margaritas more highly. The salsas served with the chips(not free by the way) were no slouchy blender mash-ups. You could taste the smoky and yet caramelized flavors in the chillies and tomatoes. It is the sign of authenticity in a chef to produce such a fine Mexican blend of tastes. I venture to say this salsa was on a par with, and even bested, Rick Bayless’ salsas. We had two, a red which was milder, and a green which was spicier. This kitchen gets my kudos for such authentically smoky and layered salsas. The Tostadas Verduras we had seemed to me to be slightly small in quantity for the price. It would not have sufficed for a proper lunch, and I would have been dissatisfied at paying nearly $ 15 for it had I been really hungry. Fortunately we were just snacking. I would also knock this place slightly for their overworked waiter. Although he was charming and obviously trying hard, he seemed slightly overwhelmed, and that is not an impression you want to leave your customers with. When we walked in, it was a bit confusing where the host was and we had to be found a table by this overworked young waiter dude. Nice guy.
