Really good pizza in an old school pizza parlor. Reminds me of the places in B’kyln or Queens where there is a tiny restaurant connected to the pizza shop. Food is really good. We’ve sampled various pastas, rice balls and calzones all of which were all delicious. I am a huge fan of white pizza and Lenny’s is one of the best with a few sauteed portobello and caramelized onions –so yummy. Nice service and plenty of food and drink specials too.

Overpriced, mediocre food. We got take out: Mozzarella sticks were undercooked, cold and bland garlic knots, they microwaved white slices, the Greek salad had grape leaves that turned sour. We were at a local marina so we had to fire up the BBQ to heat up the soggy pizza, grill the microwaved white slice back to life, and heat up the cold garlic knots. The white slice was tasty, but I don’t even use a microwave in my home. Also Unilocal says they deliver, but they do not. Based on the high price and poor quality it’s not likely we will order there again.

I must preface this review by admitting that I am not from New York and am not familiar with Brooklyn style pizza. The bar tender at the Hilton Garden Inn, Riverhead, recommended this restaurant as the best Brooklyn style pizza available in eastern Long Island. I don’t know if that is true. But I do know that this is some of the best pizza I have had. Ever. I was here twice and had pepperoni once and sausage once. They were both great, although I preferred the pepperoni. This by no means suggests that you should not order the sausage. Wish I had more time on Long Island and could have tried the rest of the menu. The service was excellent. The server recommended a bottle of chianti that was very good with the pizza.

My boyfriend and I loved Lenny’s! We were looking for a place to get a nice big meal after a long day of winery hoping, and found Lenny’s on Unilocal. From the outside, we thought we were misled and walking in to a regular pizzeria, but then saw the restaurant side which was very nice. Great ambiance, good food, good drinks, great wait staff. We very much enjoyed our meal here. Thanks Lenny’s!

I really want to like this place. The staff is very nice and the red sauce is pretty good. So we tried it again a couple of time. The first was pretty good. They had some nice pizza by the slice — fresh and good food combination. I liked the Caesar salad slice with chicken which was heaping fully of stuff. However, the next morning is the big tell for me… They use too much salt and the morning dry mouth reminds me that I need to find another place.

Lenny’s and LENNY are simply tops… a truly humble chef with high standards for delicious Itailian food. Dont let the location pass you by. His signature dishes on the restaurant side are outstanding to say the least. The bread alone is a work of art. I have been getting muscles in marinara with calamari. IT is the best I ever had, three times and 3x to perfection. I have also heard there are dishes that are favored more? I cant imagine however more reason to come back to Lenny’s. The service is very good as well. * NOTE just go look at the pizza case … its not rocket science to see truly heart felt pizza. His wild mushroom pizza with caramelized onions id consider to be fine art. Great places deserve great reviews

Nice décor cool bartender & food was great! The bread so warm & good, real big and good salads & the pizza was good. If we lived close we would come here at least once a month. Enjoy!

Have to say they have the best thin crust pizza on the North Fork. Been going there for many years. Dinners are also very good and as always very friendly staff.

Lenny is a gem! Being from Brooklyn it’s hard to impress me. I was blown away by this restaurant. Food is outrageous! Lenny’s is my east end place to eat!

Stopped into Lenny’s after reading some very good reviews on Unilocal and I was certainly not disappointed. Located in a shopping center with the local post office, I never would have found this place if not for Unilocal but, I’m glad I did. Had the chicken parm from the early bird menu(served 5PM — 9PM). Dinner included freshly baked bread(made every day and served nice and hot) and either soup or salad. I highly recommend Lenny’s own balsamic vinaigrette. Everyone at the table got a salad with that dressing and every plate disappeared very quickly, all of us loving the dressing. Dinner portions were fair. I was surprised to see that the sauce was orange in color but, after tasting it, I could have cared less. It was nice and mild and complemented the chicken and spaghetti perfectly. The waitress was extremely friendly and enjoyable to talk to. The busgirl never stopped moving making sure everything and everyone was taken care of quickly. Now that I’ve found it, I’ll be sure to make more than a couple of return trips, I’ll have to try their pizza too! If you’re in the area and looking for excellent Italian food at reasonable prices, it is definitely worth stopping y Lenny’s.

Out East for a couple of days with a friend and we were in the mood for some pizza. Being in such a rural area, there are not that many places to choose from but after checking Unilocal we decided to come here. Now, my family is from Italy so I can tell good Italian food when I taste it, this pizza was excellent! I was very impressed and it had the perfect amount of spices and cheese, a young employee rung up our order at the register and gave us plates and a box, but the owner was in the back chatting with customers and making pizzas. Price wasn’t too cheap but definitely worth it considering the quality ingredients and taste($ 17.95 for an 18-inch pie) the owner, despite what other reviews here said, was extremely friendly and kind, and offered to take our plates for us and asked if we enjoyed the pie. I will definitely come here again when I come back to Jamesport!

Order management and customer service is NOT Lennys strong suit. Our order was given accidentally to someone else, so we were asked to take different pizzas, wait for the rest, and were still charged for the wrong food. And the no-cheese meatball sub came with extra cheese. Great for someone lactose intolerant. Counter staff said there was nothing they could do — they lacked the authority to offer discounts — but Lenny himself was ten feet away. Pizza = fine. Service = the worst. Ugh. Drive 3 miles to Mattituck instead for Michelangelos.

I am so glad we took the recommendation to eat at Lenny’s! I had the chicken francese with angel hair pasta and my fiancée had to BEG for a bite! Also, staff is really nice, and easygoing. Lenny is really accomodating and even remembered my name after only 1 intro! If you are in the area, go to Lenny’s.

Subpar pizza at a premium price Oily pizza and soggy. The topping was in short supply, sauce tasted generic. Garlic knots were greasy and unappetizing, never mind cold. I honestly would have taken the whole mess back if i didn’t have a starving 3 year old at the beach. There must be better choices in the area.

I am truly appalled at all the positive reviews for this establishment, I am not sure if the other reviewers have never had good food before but the statements below are unjust. I visit the Northfork area on a weekly basis, I eat and relax for days at a time and have never had experiences like I’ve had at Lenny’s. Unfortunately, Lenny’s is the closest pizzeria to where I stay so whenever I am looking for a quick bite to eat or an easy dinner. Every time I go to Lenny’s I say to myself«I am never coming back here, I mean it this time», but as a creature of habit and convenience, I still end up at Lenny’s the next time I am looking for pizza, and I still regret it after I eat. I will address the food first, extraordinarily pricey sub-par pizzeria food. I am from the Island and have never spent the amount of money and received such a small amount of food at any pizzeria before. The dinners are usual pizzeria size, except they are priced around $ 20 which is high in my opinion. The same dishes are offered around Long Island for $ 5-$ 10 cheaper and better tasting. The pizza is usually thin and sometimes soggy, but the price is right. The only positive thing I have to say about Lenny’s is that their marinara sauce it pretty good, better than most pizzeria’s marinara sauce. But on dinners, for example the chicken or eggplant parm, the sauce is scarce, making the meal very dry. Now for the staff, I have never experienced a weirder bunch on Long Island before. Every time I walk inside it feels as if I walked into a pizzeria just off a highway in rural upstate NY. The vibe is so uncomfortable inside It feels as if the staff would rather be doing ANYTHING else than help a customer. The entire staff does not make eye contact with customers, greet walk-ins, or address waiting patrons. They move extremely slowly when preparing food. There is a young girl that usually works there and she is the rudest hostess/cashier I have encountered at such a low-end restaurant. For example, the food is placed into a box behind the counter, after paying she expects the customer to reach over the counter, in the register area, and grab the box for themselves. Not only is that uncomfortable for the customer because we all know we are not allowed on the other side of the counter, but is also so uncomfortable because you’re basically reaching right at this girls breasts. The entire situation could be easily avoided if the hostess picked up the box and placed it on the counter, which is exactly what she is supposed to do. All in all, the entire vibe, feel and look of Lenny’s is uncomfortable. I do not know how or why they have been in business for so long and I am truthfully surprised at all the positive reviews.

The best Sicilian pie I’ve ever had. Plain is outstanding, my wife loves the Bruschetta. The food is really amazing, but what makes me happy to support this North Fork institution is Lenny himself. The man is an artisan, cares about his customers and his product, and makes you feel like you’re an old friend. Great dine-in specials from what I remember. So happy to give a five-star review for a place as great as Lenny’s.

I love Lenny! Everything I’ve had here is absolutely fantastic! I’ve grown up in Jamesport and anytime we order pizza it’s from Lenny’s. Plus anytime we have guests visiting from out of state, they ALWAYS want Lenny’s at some point during their trip, it’s tradition. The staff are all super friendly, and Lenny — always with his red hot chili pepper pajama pants — is always personally greeting his customers. He genuinely wants to build personal relationships with each and every one of his customers, which gives the overall experience a «homey» feel. He recently renovated the inside and it looks awesome! Plus now he has brick oven pizza :) I will forever be a loyal customer.

I recently was a part of a film shoot in Jamesport and when my cast and crew were looking for something to nibble on, our closest option was Lenny’s. We wound up visiting this place a couple of times and I have to say they make a pretty mean regular slice. Lenny’s Pizza & Restaurant is a medium sized pizzeria located in the heart of Jamesport and I’m going to guess the place may get pretty filled up in the summer when people come to their summer homes /explore wine country. Even in the late days of winter though they still have a big crowd. The inside is your standard place with a nice welcoming décor. You can see their big kitchen area where a couple of people are busy away making the pies. The staff is friendly enough. Service on my couple of visits hasn’t been short of quick. The biggest downside of Lenny’s is that they’re a bit more pricey than your average pizza place in Nassau or Suffolk County. The North Fork is known for being expensive but either way I find it near ridiculous to pay $ 16 for a regular 18′ pie. You can get a huge, tasty sicilian pie for that price in other establishments to put things in perspective. The other downside is a coupon we printed off the website wouldn’t be accepted since it apparently expired, yet the coupon had no expiration date. Stay active on your site guys so these little hiccups don’t happen! With that said the taste is solid. They put plenty of herbs and spices on their pie instead of your average plain pie to give you that nice extra flavor. The other dishes haven’t disappointed either with the exception of the calamari which was soggy and had an unpleasant texture. Normally I’d give a place like this 3.5 stars but since they came through for my crew in the clutch with quick service and good food I’m giving them four. Yes they are expensive but its worth checking out.
