Starbucks

One of the worst Starbucks that I’ve been too. I go there only for the convenience since it’s close to home. You’ve got to constantly remind them to discount your personal cup. No apologies when you question them on this. In fact it’s a bother for them to make the correction. The drinks are a hit and miss depending on who’s making them.
I have yet to meet a friendly barista. Unlike many other Starbucks, they make no effort to get to familiarize themselves with the regulars. The crew needs some serious training in good customer service.

This Starbucks is convenient, clean, and customer oriented.
I obviously go to Starbucks for the coffee, but I also go because I can do my homework there without the distractions at home. It is also a great place to meet others and study together. When I arrived the first thing I noticed is that they have a drive thru and it is open ²⁴⁄₇. This is so convenient, especially for college students like myself. We’re always in need of coffee for those late study nights. This Starbucks is located in a shopping center so there is plenty of parking for customers.
The dining area is open from 4am to 11:30pm and they offer free wifi. Most Starbucks aren’t open for that long. They usually close around 9pm. When I first walked in I was surprised to see how spacious it is inside because it looks smaller from the outside. They keep the dining area and bathrooms clean for customers.
When I ordered my coffee I was greeted with friendly service. They made sure to make my drink right away. It was pretty crowded, but the employees handled it well and prepared everyone’s drinks in a timely manner. I was there for a while since I was studying for an exam and continued to order coffee. The barista I had was welcoming and got my order right. There are some cases where the barista gets my order wrong
The reason I didn’t give such a high score is because I had a few issues with this Starbucks. The combination of a crowded Starbucks, blenders, and loud music can get to someone studying for an exam. However, I understand the circumstances and it was easily fixed with my own earphones and music. I tried calling ahead of time to find out their store hours and the first few times nobody answered. I think every business should be attentive to their phone calls.
Overall, I recommend that you should try this Starbucks. It might not be the one for you, but it’s worth a shot.

Slowest drive through line to wait in ever… They don’t even have to make the sandwich, just warm it. it’s unfortunate this is the only Starbucks close to school, the line inside is usually super slow too. I ordered a venti chai tea latte without ice (their iced drinks are more than half ice, ripoff alert much? I’m paying $ 5 for it like really?) and I got a venti chai tea that was half empty. I was like um excuse me can you put more in it please? Chick came over and said no. I told her I ordered a grande without ice last time and got a full one, but okay. Normally I don’t write reviews, and yes normally this Starbucks is rude, but they were outlandish enough today for me to write a warning today. Watch out for the brunette with tacky bright pink lipstick and glitter (not shimmer, little girl GLITTER) eyeshadow.
Also, they’ve been out of earl grey tea for two weeks? I’m from Seattle, so maybe I just have higher expectations, but get it together. Literally the worst not only Starbucks, but worst coffee place I have ever been to. would give it zero stars if I could.

I love this place but the music is Painfully Loud sometimes! I wish they would fix it !

Ugh … Been back a few times and it’s still INCREDIBLY loud !
Management ., can I ask why this is? I would love to get coffee here but can only come rarely if the volume of this music isn’t fixed. It’s a HARSH volume for mornings.

There are quite a lot of great things about this location.
1. It’s OPEN 24 HOURS!
2. There is a Drive-​Thru (This is very convenient for many. However, remember that this convenience is for everyone, and can get crowded). The cool thing about the drive-​thru is that they recently remodeled and the ordering screen has a camera and a small roof over your car! Very high-​techy!
3. People here are ALWAYS friendly. Same group of coffee-​drinkers hang out in the «lounge» area every morning around 745 am and always wave hi to me. They have been waving to me for years, even when they see me driving thru.
4. Employees are FRIENDLY, FAST, and EFFICIENT. There are always a good number of them on-​hand, too. Understand that it is very crowded and this location is VERY popular, so try not to put it all on the employees. They are well-​staffed and organized.
5. There is a public bathroom that is kept clean.
6. Most of the time, they have the pastries/​food items wanted. Since I frequent this location, if they ARE out of something… they will usually have it the next day. Quick restock.
7. The menu items… as with many other locations, they have an extensive menu and are always willing to customize your order.
8. FAST PAY. You can scan your phone if you have the Starbucks App. I don’t even bring my wallet in with me sometimes.
The only downside is that it gets crowded, but after listing all of the wonderful things above, you can’t help but understand.

I go to this drivethru often and they are usually very quick and courteous! Yes the drivethru isn’t the best placement but I never have issues since the line usually goes quick.
My only complaint is sometimes they mess up my cappuccino and it’s more like a latte. The milk should be at the middle of cup. They always ask to remake but I never want to make people wait. So if they could get their cappuccino’s down, that would be amazing!
Plus they are open 24 hours!

Oh the parking «maze» that makes no sense. It makes as much sense as the backwards Taco Bell Drive-​Thru in Kalihi. I entered through the main intersection and realized it would probably be easier if you enter by Walgreens. So of course im not «that person», i drive around by Petco to wait in the mosy ridiculous/​congested line ever. Not really a Starbucks issue, its whoever made the blueprint for that ficken shopping complex. However, i wish the workers were faster with pumping out drink orders :(a bunch of us were just waiting in line for about 10mins before even getting to the order screen. They were friendly enough though. Probably wont go back for awhile.

Worst drive thru line! Poorly placed location and the service takes too long! I mean they aren’t making meals just coffee! C’mon
Still the absolute worst drive thru ever. They are lucky they are the only drive-​thru otherwise it is a total waste of time and space. It progressively gets worse and worse with absolutely no reason as to why the drive-​thru take so long.

This is my favorite coffee house at Kaneohe Bay Shopping Center on the Windward side of Oahu. I usually drop in around 5:30am for my Venti drip usually something bold to get me going before I get in traffic to Kaimuki. If I’m late then I stop at the SB’s drive thru at Kahala Mall for my coffee then straight to the office. Today, I stopped at SB’s, across the street is Zippy’s to have a Venti Flat White, late afternoon and I felt cheated!!!
Today, I get my coffee, I open the lid and I’m missing a good inch or more of liquid from the top? WTH? I’m disappointed, I’ve got her face in memory and won’t leave my order with this person ever! I gave one star because I received my coffee, if it was hot instead of lukewarm there would have been two stars … For the price, I would have been better off with a Venti drip… I hope know one else experiences what I experienced today! Yes, the renovations look good, did loose some space for the folks that come in purchase a beverage and plug in to do homework from all the schools nearby…

So apparently the drive-​through is closed but they can’t find their sign to let their customers know the drive-​through is closed??? How about writing a sign, is that an option? Also, how do you close your drive-​through at Starbucks with one of the worst parking lot systems EVER?
Update: while waiting for my daughter to return with our drinks, as there is no where to park, I see two cars coming out of the drive-​through!!! I thought it was closed??? Unbelievable!!! Not to mention they gave my daughter the wrong drink. Worst. Customer Service. Ever!

Although often crowded, this really is a great Sbucks. Fast, friendly service. Never have to wait long for my order and can usually find a spot inside or out to sit.
Drive thru is pretty quick too.
The redesign looks awesome. Opened the space up a bit and is very inviting and comfy.

COFFEE!!! Another addiction I have. Thank you, Starbucks for having this location with a drive-​thru!
This location is the only one with a drive-​thru in Kaneohe. It is located near Walgreens and PetCo. I get there around 7:45 am and the crowd is usually gone by then.
If you don’t use the drive-​thru, there is ample parking in the lot surrounding the store. This Starbucks is the makai end of Kaneohe Bay Shopping Center.
The store has gone through a renovation. It is nice & homey in there. Lots of room for you to study or get some work done with your electronics and the free wifi.
Now, to the subject of coffee. I am a creature of habit. I do not often stray from my favorites. And what I do order from here, I love. If I didn’t, I wouldn’t keep coming back. I have never had the drive thru or counter mess up my order. The staff are always friendly and cheerful when I order and pick up my drink. My almost daily habit is pricey, but if the coffee makes me happy, then who am I to stop the addiction?
So, thank you, Starbucks for bringing just a little bit of happiness to my day!

I don’t enjoy writing negative reviews but after a few months in this area because of a job-​site and stopping by this Starbucks for my morning joe, I’m really starting the question the public educational system of Kaneohe. At the very least, they have a very poor/​broken ‘process’, because even though there are usually like 10 kids working there, without fail (ok, with fail) they can’t quite ever get my order correct. which is simply an Americano (I’m one of the rare people that actually likes the taste of coffee) and some breakfast sandwich or yogurt.
The worst fail was recent at the drive-​thru where I ordered a grande Americano, a breakfast sandwich and a blueberry granola yogurt parfait. They did get the sandwich correct but a totally different fufu sugar drink, and a CHERRY yogurt (delivered with a fork). So I figured «OK, I will start parking and going inside. Maybe this is some sort of special education Starbucks.». I’m still not sure the answer to that, as even the most simple order makes smoke start to steam out the ears of most of the register workers, but at least I can deal with the order mistakes more easily now (which is less common, tho still happens, when inside).
I don’t really have much choice but to go there. Maybe I should just quit drinking coffee.

Do you love coffee? Do you love delectable treats and savory and yummy sandwiches? And lastly, do you love not having to get of your car for said delicious items? Then look no further than kaneohe shopping centers Starbucks!
I love this location because it’s one of the few places that has a drive-​thru Starbucks. This particularly comes in handy when it’s rainy, you look a mess, or you’re just plain lazy to get out of the car! (I’m generally ²⁄₃ there)
Service is generally quick once you’ve ordered, but beware! Everyone loves the convenience of a drive-​thru, so it can get crowded during certain times. To me, it’s still worth the wait!

8÷9÷15 was a bad day for me and Starbucks. Ordered a hot chai latte and it was good. It was a humid day so I was still thirsty. Husband tells me I can get coffee or tea free refill with the gold card.
I waited until they were not busy to ask for a refill. The barista was happy to try and give me a free refill of my original drink but didn’t know how to ring it up so she asks 2^nd barista. The 2^nd barista looks at my cup and asks what I ordered. Then 2^nd barista says only the purchase of coffee or tea qualifies for refills. By now there is a long line behind me and I’m soooo-​oo embarrassed and I just walk back to my table with my empty cup. At the table I looked up the policy on refills, it was not clear… so I emailed corporate office for clarification of my situation.
The corporate office was quick to respond with an explanation of the policy. In the future, I will bring the printed email response when asking for a refill.
I’m giving two Stars because the situation could have been handled without embarrassing the customer. A softer tone from the 2^nd batista would have been appreciated as well as a simple gesture of offering a cup of iced or hot water.

There are times when you’re running late in the morning, but you still NEED your coffee. Alas, you don’t have time to brew yourself a pot, or even stand in line at the coffee shop to wait for your cup of joe.
That’s where, especially THIS location of Starbucks swoops in to save the day. The drive-​thru at this location of Starbucks is a lifesaver. It’s just as fast as the drive-​thru at your favorite fast-​food place, and just as efficient.
Every selection in the restaurant is still available in the drive-​thru. The downside is that the drive-​thru is a bit hard to find in this parking lot, and it’s not easily accessible… you’re not able to enter it RIGHT in the parking lot, you still have to make a few turns here and there.
However all in all, if you’re in a hurry and you need your morning pick-​me-​up, then swing by here! And hey, if you have a bit more time to spare, then visit the restaurant too! It’s clean, the staff are friendly, and there’s ample space not only inside, but outside too!
Make sure to try a Thai Walls in your drink! You won’t be disappointed, and it makes for the prettiest drink you can see!

I’ve been here a few times when in the area and overall it seems like a pretty decent starbucks.
Pros
— Quick Drive-​Thru: During the morning rush, I was 6 cars behind in line for the drive-​thru. It only took about 5 minutes to get my drink & heated muffin and go!
— Convenient location plus the fact that they have a drive-​thru
— Lots of parking
— Baristas are usually pretty nice
Cons
— It was pretty dirty the last time I went into the actual store. the bathroom was also kind of disgusting… more so than usually.
— Nothing super special

24 hour drive thru… need I say more?
Customer service here is great. During one of my many times waiting in the drive thru, the line was moving at a turtle pace. Slooooow. Took forever to get to the window, but as soon as we did, they handed us a coupon for a free cup of coffee. Any kind of beverage on them kind of coupon! We didn’t even complain, but they took the initiative to make things right.
Tip to those wanting to enter the drive thru line: do not try to get in the line from Teddy’s Burgers. It’s rude & only causes confusion, longer waits for people not trying to head towards Starbucks, & major frustration. Best way to enter the drive thru is to enter the shopping center by Walgreens. This will cause the least disruption in the traffic flow of the parking lot. Following proper etiquette goes a long way ;)

Ridiculous wait for coffee. Stood close enough to prep area to see 8 – 10 cups moved around causing no order to when people placed their order. Simple plain coffee yet 7 people who came after me got their beverage before me. They are all working hard but the efficiency needs some attention. Starbucks is not cheap so the process should be better. The drive up is even worse and the access is horrific as cars block the parking lot causing lots of navigation issues.
Starbucks needs to get a handle on their operations at this sure.

There are THREE Starbucks in Kaneohe — should be simple, eh? Apparently, it’s not! This location is at the Kaneohe Bay Shopping Center (across from Windward Mall) — near Walgreens and Safeway — and has a 24 hour Drive-​Through!
The newest location is inside Windward Mall. It took the place of Cinnabons (on the Ground Floor) and has «Mall Hours».
The other location is at Windward City Shopping Center — near Foodland and First Hawaiian Bank… across from Burger King.
Now that orientation is done, we can focus on the benefits of THIS location: 24 Hour Drive-​Through; next to Jamba Juice; near Longs Drug Store; it’s between work & home. How can it be any more convenient? It was too good to be true, so I called (on the phone) to make sure and verify this information — and yes, the Drive-​Through does operate 24 hours a day! If you want to go inside, the store is open from 4am — 11:30pm or so.
In the morning, I usually see a line of cars for the Drive-​Through. It worried me as I woke up «early» for my experiment: Tonight was my first time going to the Drive-​Through BEFORE starting work at 11pm. There was no line. Service was quick and pleasant. I made it to work with time to spare! I got my Bonus Star, too! The promotion ends on May 27^th! I will have to go again, once more, for this good deal!
Another benefit is the service. The employees always seem so cheerful and helpful! However, the other day, two female workers had to interact with a loud female customer who answered back, «He started yelling at me first». They dealt with the situation in a calm, professional manner and soon the angry woman left and continued her rant outside on her cell phone. Wow — no violence! Peace was restored! That’s a good thing!
