We were in Kauai for a couple days and I got a strong craving for pizza so we ended up at Brick Oven. I asked some of the locals where the best pizza on the island was and they said Brick Oven and then Bobby V’s. Brick Oven serves your traditional pizza with all of the standard toppings. I thought Brick Oven was good in a pinch to satisfy a craving. Also, service was good overall. The drink specials at the bar was my favorite part of my experience but overall not bad. Enjoy!

Feb.2016, went there for supper, the deco on the inside is good, in the bar-type way and services is alright, the clam chowder is not very good, in that the potato is hard and hard to find any clams, the pizza is just average, due to the crust is hard, and the calamere is average only, so unless no other choose, may be back. Gross doughy flavourless pizza. Keep driving and find somewhere else. No brick ovens either.

The pizza was great, service was nice. The pizzas aren’t made in a brick oven though. So it’s a little misleading.

This was a great stop for dinner the pizza is fresh and of good portion. The sangria white and red are very good, I know kinda weird at a pizza place but it was for sure one of the highlights for me they have a full bar also. We all enjoyed the meat combo and Hawaiian. The salad was not the best. But Would eat here again ! Our waitress was super great and helpful sweet spunky personality !

Ordered a pizza. The crust was good but the rest of the pizza was ok. Also ordered an Cesar salad that was more like a side salad. The service was not good. We have been coming here every time we are on Kauai. It was always good service and food. This time it fell short.

We returned as promised and sure enough, the license plate we sent was displayed on the rafters. We had a good time looking for it and when found, it was fun to tell our waitstaff. The pizza was as good as we remembered and, in my opinion, better than many of the franchise restaurants on the mainland. Again, high marks!

Maybe it’s because we are from NJ… the pizza was terrible. Sauce tastes canned, cheese had no taste, crust so soggy you couldn’t even pick it up… all I tasted was the Italian seasoning. The service was ok until they started vacuuming while we were still dining! I guess it was 30 minutes before closing time. Oh and what brick oven?

Always on point with service, taste, and a fun casual feel. For a pizza place you’d expect sad excuses for salads, but our green salad had romaine with curled carrots, cabbage, and yummy croutons. Not just white iceberg nonsense. This place is a must whenever we’re in Kapa’a. My hubbs won’t stop talking about how he wants to «broke da mouth» until we finally get there. Underrated!

My wife and I came here for lunch(8÷2÷15). We were greeted with a nice host and sat down promptly. They immediately brought us some waters and asked if we would like any other drinks. We ordered the small pizza w/pepperoni, pineapple, sausage, and jalepenos, the spaghetti and sausage plate, and hot wings for appetizers. The wings and pizza were great. The spaghetti was watery and only had a few sausages. We asked for more sauce and they were kind enough to bring us some. Overall it was very savoring, I recommend this place for pizza and a good atmosphere.

I don’t know if I was swept up with being on vacation, but I swear the pizza here is better than the Brick Oven Location on Oahu. The crust is thin enough but not too thin. The edges are amazing. Brushed with garlic butter combo-ed with the twist and crunch on the outside with the softness on the inside-wow. The sauce has a sweetness to it. Orchestrate that all together with the salty cheese and it is a symphony in your mouth. I was so hungry I didn’t wait when it came out and burnt the roof of my mouth. But I didn’t care, it was so worth it.

READTHIS: Is it the best pizza? No. Is the buffet of all you can eat pizza, salad, wings, select pasta and bread worth the $ 17 per person? Yes, 100%. They do this on Mondays and Thursday 5 – 9. The service: slow but the woman was sweet and working her butt off running table to table. Big parties come in which require a lot of attention. This is a place for you to bring large appetites. People are lying comparing he pizza to store bought. If you wait for a fresh pizza to come out, get ur ass up and grab a piece, it’s not cold! The same can be said about anything else in the buffet. I thought the prices on he menu looked steep for the quality of food, I most likely would do something here other than be buffet. Although the spaghetti and bread were very good.

First of all, this establishment has Coke products which is hard to come by around these parts! Yay! Pizza is not hand tossed, but was good overall. Server was friendly and attentive. For the man who loves his sports, there are several large screen TV’s to catch up on mainland sports scores and a bar here.

Really enjoyed this place! I wanted something a little different from what we had been eating since we got to Hawaii and went to my go to, pizza. This place had decent reviews and wasn’t too far from our hotel so we gave it a try. You choose your sauce and toppings and the crust had a nice crisp to it almost like a pretzel. We tried a pizza with half pesto and half regular sauce and then a bbq chicken pizza and all were very good but with a thicker crust very filling. We had great service and enjoyed this spot!

Hot tip for any of the hundreds of pizza places calling themselves Brick Oven Pizza… use a BRICKOVEN ;-) ;-). We were hesitant going for a $ 17 all you can eat pizza experience but were given advice that it was worth it. The lettuce was brown, so we skipped the salad bar. The wings were good but ice cold. The pasta was bad and ice cold. The pizza was the most cardboard-like substance I’ve ever eaten, and cold! Maybe the name comes from the brick you feel in your stomach when you leave this place. A side note to the owner: there were as many employees as customers(around a dozen) and the only one that seemed to have a care in the world was the waitress who handled all the serving and bussing of all the tables. The rest just stood around chatting with other, incapable of even seating us in a mostly empty restaurant.

I can’t believe I haven’t written a review of this place yet! It is my favorite pizza place when I come to kauai. It is also within walking distance of my favorite hotel. They have a garlic butter crust that is SO good! The restaurant is great! Always friendly staff for locals & tourists! The best

Wanted something savory and something other than Hawaiian plates, poke, etc. so we decided to try Brick Oven based on the reviews. We got there 30 min before closing so it was pretty empty. We shared a medium(10 slices) and had half margherita and half smoked ham and pineapple on wheat with garlic butter brushed on the crust. Both tasted good but wasn’t anything special. Good if you’re craving straight forward pizza.

This review is for takeout only. Arguably the best pizza on the island of Kauai, per a brochure I had read after the fact, Brick Oven Pizza proved to be one of the best I have tasted, compared to the national pizza brands. After a day of driving from Poipu to Hanalei /Princeville, I decided to look up something that will ignite my tastebuds, but at an affordable price. Needless to say, the choice was Brick Oven Pizza and not some pasta dish. Carb loading for a marathon is an art, almost a science, so it was good that I had picked this place as the means to kickstart this shin dig! While the experience here is short lived, the customer service received here was good and speedy. Brick Oven Pizza is located on Hellion street in Wailua, just north of Lihue. It’s tucked into a small commercial zone across the street from a small strip mall along highway 56, with residential areas nearby. There is a private parking area, with ample stalls that are not usually filled. Brick Oven Pizza takes the major forms of credit cards, which is always awesome! I located the menu online and phone ordered in before arriving on a Saturday afternoon. The parking lot seemed to be deserted, but there were a few cars there. They told me it took 10 – 15 minutes for my order, which was pretty quick. I had ordered the small bay shrimp and garlic, which proved to be enough. So glad that I didn’t order the larger version or else, I would have needed to save some for later. Along with that, I had an order of French fries as well. The pizza itself was about $ 16 and the fries $ 7. I felt that both the fries and small pizza were a bit overpriced, even if it was a specialty topping pizza(bay shrimp). Its cool though, since it was just to try and check out for the first time to this chain. There are a couple locations on Oahu too. The restaurant itself was quite large, with mood lighting to set the mood. From what I saw, it was quite clean and dinner service was starting. When I was picking up my order, a few others had lined up behind me awaiting to pick up their take out orders. Guess that shows the popularity of Brick Oven Pizza here on Kauai. I thought that the bay shrimp and garlic pizza was pretty good and tasty. The shrimp itself seemed lite pink and drowning in a sea of cheese, which added a layer of sophistication and depth to the deliciousness. It was something simple and fresh and not overly peppered with other toppings than can overwhelm the senses and the stomach. The French fries were cooked almost perfectly, although it wasn’t as crunchy as I thought it would be. Still, it was nice to have French fries for my carb loading needs. Crunchier French fries are the best, don’t you think? While I can say that Brick Oven Pizza rivals those of the national chain, the choice of signature pizza offerings are unique than that of the others. I mean who has bay shrimp and garlic, other than Brick Oven Pizza? The pizza was delicious and satisfying and the take out service was good and fast. What more can you want from a smooth pizza joint? While the prices are up there, it can be well worth it to try at least once to get a taste for them. You’ll probably be glad you did! Definitely recommended if you feel like having pizza and are on the east shore. Support local! B
