Burlington Coat Factory

This is one of the more decent locations. I came here to find jeans for my son, the selection was extremely random, he didn’t find anything he liked, but I guess that’s what you’d expect from Burlington. Some people love it for the thril of hunting, I guess I have to adjust. The sales floor staff are reasonably helpful but they don’t know where too many of the items are in the store. Would I visit here again? Yes, do I love the thrill of the hunt? No…(I mean do they have a store scheme called «confuse customers and make the isles look like organized chaos? I guess.)

This store is HUGE but the prices are a little higher than all the other Burlington’s

The prices are great but time Is money and if that’s the case then better pay full price for whatever you’re buying and avoid the aggravation! 12 people in line waiting! That’s pathetic!

I love coming to this place! One of my favorite places at Katy Mills for the cheap baby stuff. They have improved on it so much and have cleaned it up. Came in here last week and it was a pleasant surprise that it was organized and purses were hung up and not on the floor. It was sort of gross when I came in here a while ago but it’s looking like they are making a big improvement. Kudos.

Just when I thought visiting one Burlington Coat Factory made me sure I visited them all, you know the rue, like a Chinese buffet.
I have been proven wrong with this location. This place is HUGE. Maybe I did not get a full eye view on my «Site o meter» but I am thinking maybe the high ceiling might have added to the space perception rendering it to see a double size BCF. If you are inside the store reading this review, consider yourself very fortunate because if you look up and see all of that metal starring down at you, well that is the culprit why many cell phone signals are lost.
I glanced through some of the reviews and noticed a good majority of the reviewers mentioned something about this store being cluttery but during the Monday visit at 5:00 p. m hinted to me that maybe these must have been the weekend shoppers.
Do not let the name fool you if you have never stepped into one of these stores. It is kind of like a Ross on steroids. The prices are not as budget friendly as Ross but you would average about a triple selection to make up for it. Yes, they do have sports coats but you will have to pass up the buttoned shirts, T-​shirts, sweaters, pants and such to get to them.
Parking will NEVER bee a problem being that it is situated in the Katy Mills Mall.

As Alexander W. said below I agree that compared to most other stores of this nature the clutter potential is high. However, Burlington in Katy Mills is almost always very clean and organized. In addition to their cleanliness-​the selections are far better than the others that I have visited. I’m assuming this is because Katy Mills is an Outlet Mall, but whatever the reason I like it! Most importantly though is the fact that they offer layaway. Not many stores do this anymore. And for 5 $ and 10% down school and Christmas shopping for 3 boys just got a whole lot simpler.

Been here a few times now… there’s always a ridiculously long line and they never open up new lanes to solve the problem. Lots of cheap clothing. The pants/​clothes are sometimes not in their proper size aisles. Overall it’s meh but if you’re looking for cheap clothing this is the place for you.

This is from a guy’s point of view, so ladies please read this with a grain of salt.
This is a very large store, full of clothes (mostly) and other merchandise. Much of it last season fashion or home décor items. Give yourself sometime (and like me if you’re a guy), don’t come on a sports laden day. If you’re a guy coming with any girls (spouse, girl friend, etc), wear comfortable shoes, they are likely to stay for awhile. This stores crowd caters to a mostly low to mid middle class shopper. But you’ll find forks from all walks here looking for the deal or a winter piece. Prices are very good to down right great on many items in the apparel lines. Today, I was looking for some Ski bibs/​pants for an upcoming ski trip to Denver. Found various styles and located the perfect one for $ 49.00. The only problem was that help is hard to come by as employees are scarce and when you do find them don’t appear thrilled to stop what their doing to help.
Additional areas to think about, though they have signs up around the store not everything is found in its right place.
Last, the check out lines can be very, very long on the weekends. Maybe best to come early on a Monday or Tuesday if you want to avoid waits. Will I return, maybe, but only if I need winter gear.

Having been at this brand in several states, I normally hate going here because the clutter potential is high.
I have to admit that this particular location makes an honest effort to minimize mix ins, clutter & confusion. The pricing is a huge plus for me, in addition to having a huge big & tall section.
I gave them the fourth star because they always have friendly & helpful staff.
