Great BBQ food. The corn bread is so moist and good! However when we went two people at the table ordered the baked potato and salad meal. The were out of potatoes!!! Really. So we ordered something else. The customer service can improve some what. but they try,.

Very disappointed tonight. My wife ordered the Chicken Chopped Salad. It contained very little of the advertised ingredients other than iceberg lettuce. My burnt ends were excellent on flavor but were mostly big chunks of fat. Our waitress didn’t check back in with us even though we saw her attending to another adjacent table multiple times. By the time we were able to finally send the salad back, we were pretty much done with famous Daves for this visit and we were not interested in another salad. I normally love Famous Daves but this experience was so horrible I have to question if I should ever go back. They have really let it slip here. Wasted my money on what should have been a nice dinner out with my wife. Update: When we checked out, we shared our disappointment with the shift manager and he comped the meal. Hopefully, if I ever go back it is a much better experience.

We had nachos with jojos instead of chips because my husband can’t have corn. They had no problem with the accommodation. Ty for the great customer service!

If you want excess fat in your meat this place is for you. When it first opened the choice of meat was lean. For the first time in my life I sent back a meal as did 3 others at my table due to excess fat. I vowed not to go back. I gave in and tried it tonight on a takeout order of the Georgia chopped pork. Due to again excess fat it wasn’t just a take out it was a throw out.

A few years ago I went to Famous Daves when it opened originally and I remember it being so delicious. I kind of forgot about the place until recently my boyfriend wanted to go there. I got the riblets– it was pretty much all fat– I’m not kidding, there wasn’t hardly any meat at all. The service was also terrible. This place used to be good– I don’t know what happened.

Wasn’t amazing. Wasn’t disgusting. I was a little disappointed in how tough the ribs were. Didn’t finish the sausage. Wasn’t very good. The Wilbur beans were the best thing I had.

Food wasn’t good, service was decent. My ribs were so dry and overcooked you couldn’t eat them, they refunded my meal but I won’t be going back. Food prices were high and the bathroom smells of raw sewage. Skip it!

Easily my favorite BBQ joint in the Tri-cities! Devil Spit is just the best. Atmosphere is fun and it’s lively enough to take my young family to.

I’ve four previous reviews for Unilocal and have yet to see one posted so my wife and I are probably the only ones to see this, but here it goes. Famous Dave’s used to be in our standard rotation off restaurants. I loved the St. Louis ribs and my teen daughter adored the burnt ends. The last several times have been disappointing and I am most likely done. The ribs are now very dry; pretty sure they are at least a day old and warmed. I say that as someone who smokes his own ribs multiple times during the summer months. We went on a Saturday night in tri-cities at 6:30 and the place was three fourths empty with no waiting. Apparently I am not the only one who is done with this place . I chatted up the waitress, who was attentive and sweet, about the declining quality. She shared nothing since she was new to the job. I, probably rudely, suggested she polished her resume because Dave’s will not last as is compared to as was. Btw was 6 dollars for a 22 oz. domestic beer, quite a bit high comparatively speaking. Sides were also meh and had that delicious microwave taste. Family of four with a beer and three soft drinks was $ 100, and that was for very sensible portions. Think I will stick to Dicky’s for Bbq… way less than half the prize for takeout, better bbq and I will buy a bottle of beer on the ride home and still have five sixths and change left for a later time.

Came to this place today with a friend and his wife. I was full and I didn’t order anything but had a beer in the bar($ 6.75 for a 22 ounce). Ice cold, cool bartender. They had an appetizer plate and 2 sandwiches, which I said I would pay for. The ribs were tough as leather and then the bill came…$ 48.00 with no booze, a couple of diet sodas. I didn’t want to come here and that is why. Overpriced, an lame. People in the Tri-Cities are foolish to pay these prices for mediocre food.

Very meh, which is what I expect from most chain restaurants, however, I was in a «mall» area where all they have is that kind of stuff and I had a buy one entrée, get one 50% off coupon so I thought, why not? Well, I should have just gone elsewhere because even with the discount, it was more than it should have cost, especially with the sub-par quality. The service at these types of places is always forced and overly chipper and they never know anything about the food they are serving and they think that you know even less. When I asked what kind of beans«Wilbur Beans» are, the waitress promptly replied, «They aren’t baked beans, but they have pieces of brisket in them.» Sigh. I realize that most food-ignorant folk are only accustomed to sugary sweet 4th of July baked beans, but I happen to know about and enjoy all sorts of beans. The way she described them made it sound like pinto beans cooked with brisket, Texas-style, which sounded good. Nope. What I got was, essentially, baked beans and the website confirms that. Um yeah… My chopped pork was at least 1⁄3 fat. Ugh. I had to dig through it to find the good meat. Red skin mashed potatoes suspiciously tasted like instant mashed potatoes with some red skins added BACK in. And the portion size was teeny for the taters. No bueno. I keep saying never again, so I mean it this time! I’m going to take myself off of the mailing list right now.

I come for a bite and then take a couple of pds of rib tips to go. Unlike many places that serve BBQ this place actually has a smoker and serves real food rather than prepackaged stuff that so many others pass off. If you are bold for some serious hot BBQ sauce ask for Wilbur’s revenge. It’s got a kick! I try to sit where CJ is serving. Plenty of warm hospitality and great service.

Well, I guess I have no one to blame but myself because I read all the 1 star reviews about their poor service but went anyways. So here’s my experience. We went for lunch around noon. We walked in and about 6 people, including ourselves, were waiting for the host/hostess to seat us. And waiting… and I see 3 waitresses look at our direction and keep walking away. Nope, don’t come over. That’s right, we don’t want to be at least acknowledged or get seated, eat and go back to work promptly. Sigh… and wait some more. Eventually, the hostess seated the 4 top and then us. We looked at the menu and order pretty quickly. We ordered the 2 meat combo and one extra side and one salad. I was hungry and ready to dig into my salad but no salad came out after 10 mins. So I asked for my salad to come out before my meal and the waitress feigned like I was asking for something out of the norm. I guess it must be at this restaurant since she notated that on the receipt(see pic). As for the salad, are you kidding me? I got a big bowl with a small amount of iceberg lettuce and a few sprinklings of toppings. $ 4.99 for a side salad that would barely feed a small child. As for the meal, the portions are pretty small for almost $ 12.00. You get 2 ribs and 4 slices of the DRIEST brisket known to man. It was like eating jerky. We both ordered brisket with our combos and both orders were inedible. We spoke to the manager, we think, and her response was defensive and non-apologetic. Instead of saying sorry the food was not to your liking and can I make it better? No, we got«well, no one else has complained today about the brisket!» Soooo, if no one else complained to a waitress, does that equate to quality food? Maybe so BUT maybe not. It could just mean no one bothered to speak up about it. The overall food itself wasn’t horrible, the price was ghastly for what you get(bill was $ 37.85 without tip so over $ 40.00 with tip for lunch) but that’s not what has made us decide to never come back, it’s their lack of customer service and poor attitude. Why should I spend $ 40.00+ on lunch and not be satisfied and full after a meal? Never again.

Really bad service ruined a so so meal. We love real Southern BBQ. This isn’t it! So slow/non existent service coupled with spicy everything else gets only a single star.

I like coming here once and a while. The food is always pretty good, but it’s kind of what you would expect from a BBQ chain. They have some fun kind of gimmicky stuff with their food, but it’s still BBQ chain quality. The prices are ok, but I don’t feel the quality matches the prices here. The servers are all very friendly and the restaurant is kept clean. Although I’m only giving this place 3 stars, I’ll be back at some point when I’m having a BBQ craving and don’t want to break open the grill.

Very average, even by Famous Dave’s standards. Everything seemed to be over cooked and chewy, including the pineapple. Usually consistent franchise but this particular location didn’t grade well.
