Wow, I just walked out of Shari’s in disgust. I was looking for a relatively quiet, uncrowded place I could organize my afternoon and catch up on a few things. I sat at the counter. That was 15 minutes ago. The lunch crowd is gone I figured my timing was great. Wrong! An older waitress walked by, glanced at me and kept on going. Two cooks were in front of me in the kitchen. One was barking out orders. I suppose the light signals system that informs and summons servers without yelling across the restaurant is broken. The other was with the manager and they were trying to sort an order/s. A waitress was rushing back and forth in front of me and intermittently she was discussing her orders with the manager and cook. The confusion was not resolved and periodically she returned saying she did not get all of her order/s and kept rushing back and forth in front of me. Then a third waitress appeared in front of me, and asked me for my order. I had no water, no menu and she was in a hurry. I asked if the manager was the one in the kitchen with the cook. She said yes. I told her I had no menu to order from and asked her name because she had no name tag. She threw me a dirty look, huffed, took a few steps to get a menu, tossed it on the counter and walked away. She looked like a petulant teenage girl that has just been insulted and wants to throw something you. Then, the waitress that had been rushing back and forth in front of me appeared and asked if I would like to order. I hadn’t got a chance to open the menu yet, but she couldn’t know that. I summoned the manager, told him the awful attitude, terrible lack of even mediocre service and very obvious chaos was why I was leaving.

It’s not like I’m expecting a whole lot from a Shari’s restaurant, but the service was completely deplorable. My first visit started with the waitress dripping coffee all over the table, and on me. She didn’t apologize or offer extra napkins to clean it up; she just ignored it. The food was overpriced and bland. I decided to give it another try a few weeks later, and the service was worse! After giving us a menu and coffee, the waitress seriously expected us to order just a couple of minutes after seating us! We asked for a few more minutes, and the waitress got huffy, and told us to ‘flag’ her down when we were ready. Ummm… okay? So, we tried to ‘flag’ her down a few minutes later, and apparently she decided she really didn’t want to take our order. She ignored us for an hour. We left without her taking our order, and we only had overpriced coffee for breakfast. I think we’ll stick with Sterlings next time; they’ll take our order, and give us and outstanding breakfast!

I was so excited to try this food establishment. There was a line at the door which we waited in for twenty minutes before being seated. Which didn’t bother us, a line out the door is a good sign. However, when we finally got a peek at the dining room, there were about 5 or 6 tables occupied! After we got a table, our waitress put menus down without greeting us or saying anything. The waitress came back in about 5 minutes and we ordered, she had no shrewd of customer service and was harboring an obvious bad attitude. THIRTYMINUTESLATER, our appetizer emerged(sautéed mushrooms) cold. Fifteen minutes after that, our food arrived. Which would’ve been understandable had the food been appetizing. The English muffin in my cousin’s Eggs Benedict was rock hard and burnt, my other cousin had a salad that was warm and my breakfast plate had a hair in it. I told the server, she picked up the plate and showed her manager, who ignored the situation. About fifteen minutes later, the manager said«sorry, your bill is taken care of.» while he walked pass our table, didn’t bother to stop or make eye contact. Bad food, bad management, bad customer service. It’s safe to say, I won’t be back.

This Sharis needs new management. Have went to many sharis and had good service but the one in Kennewick always seems to have attitude problems. Food was fine.

Walked in at 21:39. There were only two tables occupied in the entire building. My wife and I stood at the front waiting to be seated(all the tables had dirty dishes on them or we would’ve seated ourselves) and watched the only server with his back to the door for 15 minutes before he finally noticed us and came over to seat us. BTW, this servers name is Reiner. Seating us took another five minutes because he had to bus a table in his section to make room for us. So we finally sit down with some menus about 20 minutes after we walk in. After seating us, he walks away immediately to the table full of children and two adults right behind us to explain that their food was taking so long because«a well done steak takes time». I should probably mention that the THREE cooks in the back were standing in the middle of the kitchen talking to each other the entire time we were standing in the doorway. Finally he comes back to take orders, takes my wifes order of a sampler with chicken, fries and shrimp and mine of a Philly melt with French fries. Didn’t even ask us if we wanted drinks this entire time, I had to order them specifically at the end of us ordering food. Food actually came out at a decent time, about 15 minutes after ordering it. Just one problem. Fast food out of that kitchen is cold food. Everything fried on the sampler was soggy and disgusting, and stone cold. And the Philly melt? Supposed to come with mushrooms, onions and melted swiss cheese. The meat was cold, the cheese was NOT melted, and the onions were mixed with green and red bell peppers. When he asked me if anything was wrong while he was at the table handing us the food(he could tell I was pissed at this point, I have a shitty poker face, its why I lost in Vegas last week) I didn’t notice that part. When I did, I sat at our table waiting to flag Reiner down. At this point the guy at the table behind us with the kids has already walked out of the building to cool off because he’s so mad at this server. So I finally get sick of waiting to flag this guy down and walk up to him with my plate of food. I set it down on the counter in front of him and tell him its wrong. Its not supposed have peppers on it and there’s no mushrooms on it. He picks it up, looks me up and down and says, «We’re out of mushrooms.» I’m ready to snap. I asked him why he didn’t tell me that when I ordered it? Admittedly I have an attitude at this point. His response? To turn his back on me and say«woooow…» And walk away. No apology, no nothing. He just left me standing there. I walked back to my wife and I’m ready to blow. She can see it. I don’t want get arrested so she suggests we leave instead. Neither of us touched our food or beverages. Just the complimentary water at the beginning. I will NEVER be back here. My suggestion? Take the extra ten minutes and go to Richland if you’re going to Shari’s after 9pm. Mathy will take care of you right. Edit: sorry for the fast and blurry video. I didn’t ask permission for either of the parties in the restaurant to be in it so I scanned enough that they are unrecognizable.

Slow seating even when it’s clearly dead, staff was very inattentive, and seemed to be unaware of how to perform ones duties.incompetent.

Appears they had a recent remodel, nice! It also appears they read their reviews on slow service. I was greeted and seated promptly upon my arrival. They had one waitress and she was quick and speedy. Never felt like I had to wait. Once my order was placed it came out within a few minutes. I had been to Shari’s before in other towns, and food was on par with the others. Overall I was happy, and full.

Been eating here over 20 years. The remodel is nice but the service has dropped to a snail’s pace. Too bad,

Always enjoy Sharis, went in requested a booth was told there were none, yet they had larger boths, asked about those, told they were for larger parties(there were 2 of us). So she turned down 2 people in tge hopes of getting more people in.

We ate here Sunday after the movies around 8:00PM is the worst. Ordered the biscuits and gravy breakfast and it was barely edible, the gravy tasted like it had been out all day. My girlfriend’s dinner was pretty much the same, english muffin was warm but not toasted. Manager overhead our conversation about the issues, right at us then walked away. Will not come back here again!

Went into this place early morning. Food was awful, instant mashed potatoes instead of red potatoes. The fish fillets were battered fried and burnt. The steak was a little bigger than a credit card. Might I add the food is way overpriced. Never again.

The place was pretty slow when we arrived and my girls needed to use the restroom so I waited at the front. Several employee saw me as I sat down, but no one greeted or acknowledged that I was there. The server was friendly with the girls, but she was uncomfortable to be around at times. She didn’t appear to be having a good day and this made it awkward for the rest of the meal. The food was decent, but it was overpriced for what we got. The server forgot to bring a side salad and when the bill arrived she seemed surprised that I didn’t remind her about bringing it out. I honestly had a bad vibe about the establishment as soon as I walked in so it set a precedent for the time we were there. I don’t think we will be back.

The family and I eat here a few times a year; usually for breakfast and when we are in the area. Service tends to be slow and the food fine. Exactly what’s expected for this niche. Today however was very poor. The coffee was especially ‘thick’. When I got to the bottom of the cup I discovered why, there were some serious grounds in the cup. Ok, whatever, they were extremely busy and the kind waitress brought me a new pot. I ordered the meat skillet and it was fine. After a few bites I chomped down on something hard, I thought it was over cooked hash browns or some burnt cheese. Nope it was a dime-size piece of plastic. They comped my breakfast, which is good since I didn’t eat much, but that was it… still paid full price on the other meals ordered. Didn’t seem very concerned about it. Makes me worry about what is going on in the kitchen. Manager didn’t seem to investigate it… so whatever. Won’t return.

Well, I try to be as fair as possible, but 2 out of 3 times that I ate here while working in the Pasco/Kennewick area taught me a lesson. The food, it’s fine, and for reference I ordered the same thing all three times. The service is another subject. First visit: awkward server, and the plate was a little light on food. Second visit: Same dish, overflowing plate and cooked well, exactly how I asked. I noticed it was a different cook. Waitress was awesome. Friendly blonde, upbeat and very attentive. Third, and quite possibly last visit ever: Same waiter as first visit. Sat at table for 16 minutes before he addressed me in person, and yes, he saw me at least three times. This dude needs some personality and customer service skills. When I ordered my food he all but walked away while I was still talking. I asked for loaded hash browns, and extra bacon. He said the loaded hash browns would have to be on a separate plate due to portion. I ended up with even less food than the previous visit, eggs cooked wrong, one extra piece of bacon. The English muffin looked like it had been torn in half and rubbed on the dirty grill. I checked, and yup, same cook as the first time. No surprise there. When I got the bill, I noticed a $ 4.95 charge for extra bacon. Wow. That’s the most expensive(burnt) extra piece of bacon I’ve ever eaten. A total of about $ 20. Unbelievable. Never again, Shari’s. The ONLY reason you got two stars I’d because of the second visit, and you can thank that friendly waitress for that.

Every time we’ve came here, the service has been incredibly slow. Their food is pretty good, but it’s honestly not worth the wait. For example: today, we arrived at 6:55. There was one other party in the restaurant, and we didn’t get to order until 7:15 because the waitress didn’t come back to our table after seating us until we walked up to the front to ask for menus. Our waters arrived at 7:20. Then, our salads took until 7:50 to arrive. Our main dishes began arriving at 7:55, and all of them were delivered by 8:05. However, out of our eight meals, one salad and two entrees were delivered with mistakes. The waitress was nice enough, but the wait was too long. Every time I come here, it is slow, but this was even worse than normal. The food tasted good, and the pie was delicious.

Are you looking for pie? If so, they have a great selection of wholes and slices. Are you looking for some regular food? Breakfasts are your safest bet.

The mexi skillet was great. Get a little more salsa for it. However, the flies buzzing around us were very annoying! Control those disgusting pests.

I used to go to Sharis in my home town when I was younger and they were amazing. But this one was alright. The service was fine. What my husband and i had was two Surf n Turf dish(one with sauté shrimp and the other one with scampi shrimp). On mine I also added sauté mushroom to the steak. The scampi shrimp is not very appetizing, it doesn’t even look appetizing. It looked microwaved and out of a can. The steak wasn’t bad but it was a lot smaller than I thought it would be and it was very dry. The mushrooms were okay but not again. The steak reminds me of a new york strip but thiner and smaller. At least the onion rings, toast and stuffed hash brown were good. On my husband, he also agreed that he loved the stuffed hash brown but his shrimp was very very bland(it looked appetizing at least) and his steak was also very dry. For desserts we shared their«new» apple pie in a jar. It was pretty good but the wait on it was long. Too long for something that was pre made and on the shelves. They weren’t busy either(only seemed to have like 4 tables at most). Imagine a slice of their apple pie stuffed into the jar, throw a scoop of ice cream and some whip cream and bam that is their apple pie jar. It definitely looked amazing and the apple pieces were good but you’re better off just ordering the pie slice.

The eggs benedict is really good. So are the onion rings. The cinnamon roll french toast is good but really high in calories. Other than that it’s diner food. I try to stay away from trying new things here and I like that they post the calories on everything. The chocolate silk pie is good, and the apple pie sundae is good too. They have free wi-fi and are open 24 hours.

After looking over the menu(and being gluten free) I asked for a breakfast special with no toast and add two eggs. I was abruptly told no substitutes ! And the eggs would be and additional charge. I get the added eggs cost but the lack of customer focus was laughable. Whenever I am in town I eat breakfast here, this am is the last time. Unfortunate as it’s close and convenient from the hotel. The place really needs to look at their staff and remind them that with no customers comes no revenue.
