Why do I even bother… I’m disappointed every time. I’d rather go to McDonalds and if you know me, you know I have heavy disdain for those places. Let me just start off with a story — their over the moon sandwich. Just for kicks we didn’t touch and brought home and left out in the back yard for three weeks. It didn’t change, it didn’t mold. The raccoons still went through the trash instead. The food is always too greasy, too soggy, too salty. The service is always the absolute worst. Always zero $&!%s given. I can’t even. This particular location is always dirty. *shutters*

My sister and I came here the other day for dinner. We had a lovely waitress. She was very nice and attentive. Deonna? Diana? Something along those lines. Other than our great waitress we can’t say the same about our food. It was not appealing. I won’t get into it but DONOT get the sirloin steak. we won’t be coming back for another visit.

In a single word UNBELIEVABLE! And that is not in a good way. Upon entering the restaurant I should have known that this venture would not be a good one as the wait staff adjacent to the counter was much more interested in visiting with one another than they were in greeting me. When they finished talking with one another we were seated in a not so clean booth but greeted by a rather nice wait person. Immediately thinking to myself that despite the table with old egg and, dried up hash brown and ketchup on top this might not be all that bad. Wait person comes back sees me staring at old egg wipes it mostly away and asks for our orders. Perhaps you could bring us a menu I ask and upon receiving them I am totally impressed with the pictures of each and every item as they were scrumptious looking! I finally decide on what is called the Lumberman’s Grand Slam and my wife a half an order of nachos. When the meals arrived we immediately knew we should have eaten the menus as what we were served was not even close to what was pictured on them. My eggs I ordered as over medium were slimy, running all over the plate, the microwavable bacon tasted rancid, the sausage cold and tasteless and then there were the hash browns which were not brown but white, cold and undercooked. I nearly forgot to mention what appeared on the menu as a lumberman’s size slab of ham but appeared on my plate as an over grilled tough piece of lunchmeat. As I surveyed this mess I thought what the hell I’ll mop it all up with my toast. That didn’t work either as when I picked up the toast and turned it over it was closer to warm bread than toast and had been saturated with melted butter. When it came to the half order of nachos my wife’s initial reaction was that they had mistakenly brought her a bowl of chili. There was no sign of the cheese and tomatoes as pictured on the menu but underneath this goopy mess one could see a nacho trying to escape. Unfortunately the nachos had not escaped as they were too old, feeble, stale and the meal inedible. And then there was the coffee that may have been okay hours earlier but definitely not then. This place is a total disaster! I was so taken back with the lousy food that I contacted the corporate offices who were most polite, thanked me, said they would definitely look into this matter and I assured them that I was not making this up as all they needed to do was to check out the online reviews and no I did not want a free order of French fries!

Not impressed with the presentation of the food. My steam broccoli was mushy and stinky, mac and cheese looks like they just put cheese sauce on it, steak is okay. Fries looks it just came from the freezer then put in the microwave. Taste like Sysco Food. Not coming back for lunch/dinner.

45 mins wait for a breakfast meal. Four of us and at lease 3 of us had toasted bread. According to our server, there was something wrong with the chief. However I expected them to atlease serve the toast breads on time. I had to get up and ask for it. The toasted bread was just sitting there when server served us it was already cold. Food was ok though.

Terrible! My girlfriend and I waited 1 hour for bacon and eggs before we left! Another couple walked out because of how long they waited at their table with no attention from servers. One of the waitresses appeared to be a meth addict. Loud screaming children. Restaurant was only half full. Place is a joke.

This place needs an upgrade This place needs some help. The bathrooms needed attention re: cleanliness. The dining area was chaotic and disarray. The wait staff was attentive however and the kitchen staff was efficient.

We go here for breakfast once a week, usually during the week, as we are retired. The food is always good, and we hardly ever have to wait. Servers are friendly, attentive, and let me substitute fruit bowl for the potatoes. Once I received a «senior portion» omelette, which was smaller, as I ordered the regular; I asked them to then charge me for the senior omelette. The manager came over, and comped me the whole breakfast! Thats customer service! And their card ‘Loyalty Program’ is awesome, about once a month, we get $ 10 off our breakfast! And the bill is brought to us while eating, so we don’t have to sit and wait/wave for our bill, as happens in many restaurants. This Kent Denny’s is one of the better Denny’s, and we will always be going back here. Also its so close to home.

I went through the hassle of creating a Unilocal account while my food gets cold, because I am that appalled by the lack of service and respect that I have been provided with while at this establishment. Not only were the first words from our waitress, «Impatience won’t do you well tonight,» we had to wait 25 minutes just for our waters, and then another five minutes for our silverware after we asked for them. The remainder of our time here will be spent trying to stomach this greasy, sub-par food in front of us. Nobody ever intentionally ends up at Denny’s, but I’ll make sure I never end up at this one again.

Dennys is usually great. I’m not sure if the franchise is suffering but it sure seems that way based on my past 3 experiences in 3 different locations. Dirty carpets and bathrooms, slow service, cold food and bad presentation. My only complement is the waitresses have been friendly.

Worst breakfast experience ever. The waiter rarely came to refill our drinks. It took almost 45 minutes for my two friends and I to get our food, and when we did, all three were wrong and the food was cold! Like refrigerator cold! I spoke to the manager who had them remake it and the food was still gross and chewy. I will never come here again.

~I’m very disappointed in the male waiter when my mother in law couldn’t get more coffee here. He didn’t see her waving to get her coffee cup refilled. My husband complained to the manager. She bought our meal. The lack of training showed in the waiter. Usually the customer service was good and give good tips but for his poor work performance of not asking if we needed anything or how we are doing didn’t justify anything. Sad!

My family and I stopped in for breakfast on Saturday. We were seated right away then about 5 minutes later someone came for our beverage order. The server dropped off our drinks and just left. Then 2 large parties were seated. This is when all went wrong we sat and we sat then after about 15 minutes The server is taking one of the large parties orders. My husband politely asks if we can get someone to take our order. The server told us to hold on and went to the back. I can see my husband getting frustrated so we just got up and left.(we only ordered water so we did not steal anything) Last time we will come here.

This location has horrible service. It took awhile for the waiters to greet me and order my food. I’ve probably waited at least 15 minutes just to get my drinks and when i asked for SWEETENED iced coffee, it was unsweetened and it seemed like it was just sitting in ice for too long. I waited more than 40 minutes for my food and it was kind of cold when i got the food. I would not recommend going to this location.

If you can’t tell by how many check-ins I have here… this is by far my most favorite Denny’s to go to! The staff is great but what keeps me coming back, besides the convenient location next to my favorite Bowling Hot-Spot is one of the waitresses. Our regular waitress knows us very well, makes sure we get seated in her section and quickly. She knows what we like to drink but always asks just in case we feel like changing it up that day. She predicts our needs and is always one step ahead of us! The other weekend waitresses/waiters are awesome too, even though we show our loyalty to just the one. It gets really busy in here on Saturday and Sundays for lunch but the staff are always busting their bootays and making sure everyone is getting their food, it’s great food and are getting out in a timely, but not rushed manner. Also the Manager does a great job helping out his staff, making sure they are getting their breaks and lending a hand whenever needed. I appreciate a boss that isn’t lazy and just lets his workers down on their own. Even though it’s just another Denny’s, the food is always cooked just right and it tastes to me like the Cooks… no wait… Chefs, take pride in their food and strive to make sure it’s not just«OK». I highly recommend you hit up this joint if you want some great food, excellent service and a great spot to sit and visit or read a paper… wait who we kidding… electronic device, in peace.

Its Dennys They’re all pretty much the same. The one in Auburn has a bar and $ 5 pitchers from 3PM on [its not advertised though]…that one gets 4 stars. Why the two stars? Any restaurant that doesn’t give you the soup or salad with the entrée and without extra charge deserves a dismal rating for being cheap.

I like Dennys but this location was not pleasant. Tonight’s service was okay, the server was friendly but the food was very low quality and very poorly prepared for tables. The server wasn’t able to refill our drinks because he had way too many tables and he was sadly not able to keep up and I believe it’s because of his age and health condition, even though we terribly needed some refills. It took awhile to get my hot sauce and steak sauce, the breakfast burger my husband had looked very plain and tasteless and he mentioned it was overcooked. And he didn’t even finish half of it. On the better note I really enjoyed my strawberry shake. And the server was very friendly but that wasn’t going to make up for everything he forgot to give us as well as how long it took to get everything. I think this restaurant needs to focus more on team work as well as not giving the servers too much tables to handle. And also having enough staff on holidays. I still left a 20 percent tip because it is Christmas. But I definitely will not be bringing myself back here unless I have to. If you want good service in a reasonable amount of time, that has food that is slightly better you should take yourself to Shari’s I feel like I’ve never been disappointed when I visited that restaurant. Note: I thought the wild rice was dry and the mac n cheese side was undercooked on the pasta. The garlic bread also tasted like it had been sitting in the window for quite some time and was not prepared fresh.

I would do one star but the staff here is sort of trying… We showed up after karaōke next door at the interchange… normally, I’m not someone who finds herself in Kent — let alone on a weekend night past 10pm so we were a little surprised at the situation. We walked in around midnight… we waited… we saw staff rushing about… they saw us… still nothing. Eventually, they seated us and were polite enough from then on. No grilled cheese on the menu? WTF? They made us one anyway. I had my standard strawberry shake which was not as yummy as they used to be but did the job. When we were leaving, the entire lot was closed down by the police, and had we parked there, we would have been screwed. I won’t be back, but only because I doubt I’ll ever set foot in Kent after 7pm again.
