We keep trying it in the hopes it will get better. We loved it before it became this place. The food quality is poor and the service is quite slow. We won’t be back.

We have been looking for an Irish pub in Renton/kent for ages, and we were really hopeful for this place. The first time we went, service was really slow despite it being pretty empty, but when the food finally came, it was pretty good. I was looking forward to going again because there were some interesting things on the menu. The second time we went, however, things got much worse. We sat for 20 minutes, in full sight of the bar and didn’t even get menus or water. There were other parties present that had obviously been waiting even longer, and were to the point of shouting at the bar. I went and stood at the bar, thinking maybe it was bar service only, and both bartenders/waitresses looked through me, not even making eye contact or a «be right with you.» After that, we left. This place is only in business because there is a golf course attached. Don’t waste your time. The cooks are good, though, they just need to go work somewhere with service.

I was actually surprised by the service and food at Mick Kelly’s: the low Unilocal ratings caused me to not expect too much of this restaurant. I was pleasantly surprised by the steamed clams and the wings. The salads were okay, but the clams were awesome! I will definitely be back to Mick Kelly’s.

Not a lot to say. Noisy. Karaōke. Hot and cold waitstaff. I ordered the salmon. It was dry. Burnt. To the waitresses credit she handled it perfectly. My husband had nachos. They too were burnt. Won’t be back.

The food is pretty good, but the service is a little slow, especially when they are busy.

YEARSLATER, I came back to check it out after a day of golf and it wasn’t even busy and SERVICE was just as BAD as before … Its SAD when you sit down, you get a menu and no one ever comes back for your order and like I said, it wasn’t that busy but yet I was ready to leave and my buddy had to hunt down someone to just so we can just get a beer and it was the same way with our food order BUT she was quick on the bill and collecting it, anyway, NEVERAGAIN, not worth going to if you ask me …

So happy to find this place near my home. My husband and I were loyal patrons of another Irish pub that recently closed its doors, and we were missing the food and atmosphere very much. The corned beef is fabulous and so is the Guinness stew! They were busy, but the service was excellent, the food piping hot and the beer ice cold! We will definitely be back!

My wife and I wanted a close place, somewhere we have not gone before and chosed Mick Kellys. We hit a home run. The service was great. The beer was cold and food was tasty. The only problem was what to get. The solution is to come back. And we will.

Just when I think the service is decent I have tonight to bring me back to reality. 15 minutes just to place an order, 30 minutes of wait time for food and then the order wasn’t correct. No apology or recognition this guy screwed up. I really want to love this bar but the service minus the regular nice lady sucks bad.

Yummy little pub with friendly staff. I would suggest trying their chicken pot pie :) I went there and loved it!

This place was a seat yourself when we walked in, and we did not wait at the table very long before the waitress greeted us. The drinks came fast and the waitress recommended the calamari. I ordered the Bangers and Mash and my husband ordered Shepherds Pie. The calamari was very good but I feel like there should have been more for the price. Sauce was very tasty! Bangers and Mash was delicious. Very filling. I’m not much of a gravy person, but I was very happy with this dish. The gravy was perfect and the flavors went well with everything on the plate. Meat was cooked perfectly and juicy. I will definitely be back here!

The quality of the food is only surpassed by the awesome people that work here. I wish I lived closer, so I could hang out here all of the time.

We came in specifically to try the wood fired pizzas which are only served on Wednesday evenings. A great deal at $ 8 for a 3 topping pizza! This should have been the wonderful thin, crispy pizza we were thinking we would get. Sadly, no. They have the potential to create a GREAT pizza… HOWEVER… they are loading down the fabulous thinly hand stretched dough that they are twirling around, with WAYTOOMANY ingredients! Instead of the pizza taking just a short time to bake,(being thin and all) it took quite a long time and the pizza came out luke warm on top and soggy because of all the cheese! I hope someone sees this… maybe I should call them? They could be saving a lot of money in cheese alone and producing a much better product by just this«one» step! I had my favorite combo of pepperoni, mushroom and pineapple and the fruit on top were gigantic chunks… they need to be diced for sure people. Service was good though and their other regular menu items have been much better than the soggy pizza so I would go back… especially for the Parmesan Whiskey Cream Sauce Chicken with garlic mashers… mmmmmm.

My buddy and I had such great expectations for this place. My impression: I’d come back for a beer break while golfing but that’s about it. When we sat down at the bar in the after noon, the lady seemed less than enthusiastic to greet us. As a matter of fact I asked what kind of beer selection she recommended since I heard much about it and she simply pointed at the tap selection. I ended up getting a couple smith wicks which was delicious by the way they serve it at a perfect temp. We started off with cheesy fries. Nothing special. I had bangers and mash. Which comes out beautifully presented until you actually try to cut through the rock of burnt flesh on my sausage the bartender called a «char» that was standard. I asked for a new one because I felt it was unpalatable. When got my second one, it was perfect! The soda bread however, I wish was toasted. It would have made it a lot better. The Mac and cheese my buddy had with jalapeños and bacon and corned hash beef was oh so decadent.

My sister and her husband love this place. It has a really chill environment, and the waitstaff were quite pleasant and helpful. It’s kid friendly in the dining room. The wedge salad was delicious. The guiness beef stew was good, but it was lukewarm. Who likes lukewarm stew? Not me. I could have asked for a reheat but didn’t bother. The rest of my group really liked their meal. It’s reasonably priced.

Just moved to the Kent area — and I’m SO glad it’s right near this Irish Pub!!! Great(and clean) atmosphere, waiter was super nice & enthusiastic, food was delicious, drinks were just ok. I had the chicken pot pie, bf had the bangers and mash — both were very good, soda bread was ok. Drinks were not strong enough(as they never are in bars). One table has a cribbage board in-layed. I can’t wait to go back, play some cribbage and eventually try all of their irish food selections!

I really liked this place. Our server she was great! Our glasses were never empty our food came out fast. My husband and I had the Corn beef and Cabbage and our friends had Fish and Chip and the Irish Turkey dinner. All the food was really really good and there was a lot of food! I could not even finish the lunch size! We will Definitely be back… Yummy

I live really close to this pub/golf course, but have never stopped in to try their food. Glad that I did, because it was really good. I got the Shepherd’s Pie, which I absolutely love. And there are many different Irish dishes that have me interested in trying this place again. What I didn’t like was our server. She gave very lack luster service to our table. I only had water to drink… but, regardless of what you’re drinking, when your glass is empty, or near it, and you signal for a refill, and have direct eye contact to show her your glass, and then you’re ignored for the remainder of your visit, it’s rather unpleasant. That, right there, is about enough to keep me from returning to an establishment. The second thing that really bothered me was my glass that I was drinking the water out of. Now, I only used the straw to sip with, but I finally noticed a pink lipstick print on my glass… and it was fresh. I don’t wear ANY makeup, and no one else shared my glass. When I finally pointed this out to our waitress, she was rude to me, and made a couple nasty comments. Don’t appreciate that, at all. I will go back to McKelly’s again… but, if I get the same server gal, I will refuse and walk out. That was piss poor service. At least the food was good.

We came here as a get-together with a group of friends a couple nights ago. It was a little daunting walking in with reservations only to realize, that none of the tables were set and they had to get everything ready as we watched. Luckily it wasn’t too busy and their long table wasn’t already taken or else who knows what would have happened! When we sat down, our drinks were taken quickly and received just as quickly. But I’m not sure if our waiter was having a bad night or something, BUT, when it came to ordering our food he only got food orders for two people and ended up walking off assuming that the rest of us didn’t want to order. So we ended up having to call him back to let him know that the other SIXOFUS, were still trying to order food. I mean, I honestly don’t mean to bash, because everyone that worked there was HELPFULANDREALLYNICE, it was just weird that our waiter kept walking off repeatedly in the middle of people ordering food. Once we got food and drink orders in though, everything seemed to go SMOOTHLY. I ordered the PADDYMELT, and it was pretty good. For $ 8.99 though, a sandwich on sliced bread and a small side serving of potato salad seemed a LITTLESTEEPER than I thought it would be, but regardless, the meat was slightly pink as requested. So I had no reason to complain about quality of food. Overall I give this place a THREESTAR. PROS: –food is good. comes out hot and fresh. –they have a bar area you can sit at if you want quick service –they play featured sports on the flatscreen’s that they have strategically placed around the room. –serving sizes for drinks are pretty good, so is taste –waiters and waitresses are super friendly CONS: –I’M ONLYRATINGTHISFORTHEDAYWEWENTIN, but our waiter seemed a bit out of it and, although friendly, wasn’t at all attentive –our reservation tables weren’t set up at all –prices seemed a bit steeper than expected
