cheap beer and skee ball! loved the bartender — some of the patrons were kind of overboard but pretty friendly.

Dear Blinker Tavern, You all just got rid of one of the best karaōke hosts we have ever seen. You really all should be ashamed of yourselves and this is certainly your loss. Annalisa really cared about your establishment and she ran her shows with the utmost professionalism, something we have seen other hosts at your bar not really give a shit about. We really enjoyed our time with Annalisa and want you to know that we(and everyone we have brought to place of business) will not be back. We spent plenty of money there(go ahead and look up your receipts for us over the last year) because you had a good product, now that product is gone. You have lost several great customers and I will be sure to post this far and wide to make sure other potential customers are aware as well. If this had anything to do with certain individuals there complaining, it is only because Annalisa ran her shows like a true professional and they would prefer it to be run like a zoo(ridiculous theme nights where they get to play and act like children). Maybe look up the receipts for those people and you will realize how much money they actually spend there. I would love to name names but I will digress. I have witnessed those individuals get completely wasted then go on ridiculous tirades. I have witnessed your«good customers» falling into and damaging expensive equipment and when they are told to behave they cry like little children because they aren’t getting their way. I have witnessed substitute hosts perform their shows completely drunk and we made sure to not go to any of their other shows. Is that the type of show you want? It would appear so. Annalisa brought many good people to your place of business and I know I am not alone in saying that the majority of us will never be back. The Blinker should be very embarrassed today and if not, I will go to every effort to accomplish that because you should be.

Upon my first visit to the bar we felt like strangers, getting funny looks from the regulars who did not know who we were. After a couple of visits we now feel like we are part of the gang. We love to go on Friday nights for karaōke with Mitchell. The bar staff is friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is fun and you are sure to have a good time!

My favorite dive bar in Kent! A place where everybody knows your name. Yep I’m an irregular regular. Great priced drinks… someone mentioned no liquor… it used to be a beer tavern, now they serve booze & yes it’s basic… no Mojitos or blended strawberry daiquiris served here! Used to have darts, but no more. No longer Jerry’s tavern, it’s Joe’s now. Karaōke on Wed & Fri… and we get some real descent singers most of the time. I’ve never seen race to be a problem, it’s a pretty ethnically rich place. Usual tavern fare… hamburger, burger dip, chicken burger, nachos. There are 2 pool tables. I like to have birthdays here, no fuss, no muss & my friends & me have a ball singing & dancing. I think it safe to say that the age bracket is 35+. They only have one bar tender so best to go up and get your own drink.

Know your limitations, figure out what you do well, and keep doing it. Blinker(Jerry’s Blinker was the name I believe) seems to have figured this out. And Mary J’s review is wrong, there was plenty of liquor there. Food too, although we didn’t eat. Pull tabs, pool tables, some seriously irregular regulars and some super friendly people as well were all to be found at Jerry’s Blinker Tavern. My GPS seemed to think I needed to be here, because it led me to this place when I tried to go elsewhere, but since I always just bloom where I’m planted, with the sign outside offering karaōke and a nearly empty bar, how could I refuse? Me and my new ladyfriend went in and sidled up to the bar, god love her, she tried to ask the bartender for a Mojito. The friendly(but befuddled) man was unsure if he could make one, all the while I am frantically shaking my head and trying to convince her not to order it regardless. I said to her ‘look around, don’t ask this nice man to muddle anything’ I had to tell him the main ingredient was fresh mint and he realized it was a no-go. I thought I’d stick to the basics, he had on a Fireball t-shirt so I ordered a Fireball and ginger, ‘Ginger what?’ he asked. I knew we needed to stick to basics but wow… people in Kent don’t order ginger ale I guess… then I told him what a ‘Dirty Shirley’ was for my ladyfriend and he made her one that she loved, and I admit that my F&G’s were strong and cheap: two qualities I like in a ladyfriend, bartender and a cocktail. The karaōke was interesting to say the least, the almost too smart-assed but certainly charming host was quick on the draw for everything but seemed to like to play some songs in between each singer and the rotation was confusing at best. Still, if you find yourself in Kent, and you want to have some unexpected fun, stop by The Blinker, I promise you’ll have some interesting stories to tell after and you might see me there, I have to admit I had a damn good time.

Cool dive bar — mostly for the mature folk. Just a good place to hang and have a beer and play a little pool. One question, why is there a display case for darts stuff when there is no dart board?

It’s a simple tavern. No liquor. Limited food. The bartender??? maybe the owner? Not sure. He was very nice. Service was great! Cash only or use the atm machine.

This is a neighboorhood tavern that’s been here since 1965 filled with some very friendly patron’s. Jerry the owner is the son of the founder and a likeable gentleman who has known most of his patron’s since he was just a kid. Limited food or this place would have gotten 5 stars. Very Clean with a patio in the back. Popcorn machine and music on the jukebox ANDNEGROMODELO on tap! This place makes me smile when I walk in the door.
