My review is based on the worst service I have ever had in my life.
To the young, thin, very rude female bartender who’s bad service along with terrible attitude makes me never want to return:
I searched for 3 days for a large tequila selection –and score– found one. But was clearly let down with the bartender interaction.
Sorry to have clearly ask too many questions (3)… 21 minutes to get my drink (mainly due to your pal coming in to chat and do a shot with you) not a smile, smirk or warm fuzzy. Nope. Nail tapping, sighs and being ignored. Awesome.
I am a 30 year service industry veteran and NEVER have I been so abhorred by someone. I was literally so uncomfortable, I couldn’t wait to leave. I am an upper keys native– with full ties in the bar restaurant industry.
When she gets let go or retires early,
I hope to come back and be «wowed»

Had the house margarita on the rocks with salt, it wasn’t bad but nothing incredible. Could have used less salt and more agave. Server was on point.

This was one of our first stops when we went to Key West in October and it was well worth it. It is located on a side street right off of Duval, was never crowded like the other bars, but certainly had a steady stream of customers. Our bartender was friendly and helpful when suggesting tequilas and drinks and recommended the Roof Top restaurant upstairs which had great food. We look forward to coming back here again the next time we are in Key West.

Kate is great. That rhymes. She knows tequila. Tequila is not about Jose Cuervo and getting sick. She will recommend a good tequila and you won’t get sick. The fish tacos are good.

We didn’t get a drink (I know) but we just wanted tacos for lunch when we saw the window sign. Almost didn’t stay for the prices ($ 12 for two tacos and nothing on the side), but it just sounded too good. We had the pork tacos and the steak tacos. AMAZING! Literally, the best food we have eaten since we got here and we have eaten all over from Cudjoe Key to Key West! It will be a mistake for you to miss this place. Bartender was awesome with the service.

With two cruise ships in this is a great place to have a well made drink! Friendly laid back service, good tequila, great mule, all at a very good price — if you wanna relax and miss the tourist traps this is a great place to go. Didn’t try it but other people were trying and enjoying the tequila flights! Ashlyn is great — thank you!

The bartenders are so friendly and make great drinks. You have to try the pork tacos… they are amazing! Great atmosphere and lots of tequila to choose from. Make sure you ask for a Tequila your pain.

Best Margarita’s in Key West, or honestly anywhere I’ve been. Drinks aren’t made from mixes, all fresh. Prices aren’t bad for Key West, either. Give it a try.

4 stars for tequila selection and service
We found this place from Unilocaler reviews and once again, we were not disappointed. A great place to go for a delicious margarita or sipping tequilas. The service was great too as the bartender (forgot her name) was super helpful in recommending different concoctions and making them with a smile on her face. Thanks Agave and fellow Unilocalers!

Great spot for a tequila cocktail. Rebecca from Detroit is extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Great drinks and a good atmosphere.
Skip the tourist traps and get a great drink from someone who cares about your cocktail.

This place was the surprise star of our trip. A local listened to us tell him we were thinking of going to a rum bar in town, and he basically said Yeah, you could do that, OR you could go to Agave and it’ll be amazing. We took him up on the idea and were thrilled: both pork and fish tacos were absolutely excellent, and the margaritas were solid– not too sweet, not too strong, perfectly balanced.
I will dream of that pork taco for the rest of my life, I suspect.

They have creative drinks at this bar. Priced $ 10 – 13, but they didn’t have much liquor in them. We first went upstairs to the restaurant to ask for 2 for 1 coupons. I heard about doing this on Unilocal!With the coupon I was okay with the price, but for full price no way. I had the caliente which is made with jalapeño tequila so it had a kick to it.
It is a dark interior. There is a bar and also high top tables. There was only one bartender on Friday (national tequila day)…she was super friendly but we had to wait to get our drinks made since they are all made by hand. My friends also ordered food and thought it was ok.
When we walked by at 10pm on a Friday there was no one in the bar!!! When we were there at 7pm it was 75% full. Maybe it’s only busy early? or really late?

Nice tequila bar off Duval with craft margaritas, a full liquor bar, bottled beer and food. We ordered a jalapeño cilantro margarita that was deliciously smoky, a traditional margarita and a fruity margarita to get a nice sampling. The food comes from the rooftop restaurant next door and the chips and guacamole that we ordered was yummy! Bartender was legit making each margarita with true ingredients and not just a jug of premixed drinks like other bars in key west.

We fell upon Agave by accident in search for dinner. And boy did we find a hidden treasure. The drinks were creative and delicious! (Disclaimer: Must like tequila!!)
We ordered freshly made tortilla chips with house made guacamole. Amazing! All of our meals were great as well. You can’t go wrong! Cozy atmosphere and fun vibe as well. Highly recommended!
The bartender was a gem too!

Tequila Lovers this is the bar for you in Key West!
Don’t miss out on this little gem, it’s a small bar with a great vibe and if you’re not sure of how many ways there is to enjoy great tequila get ready for the lesson to begin, please don’t come here expecting Jose Cuervo this is real quality tequila and in abundance.
They stock some of the finest tequilas on the planet and their creative mixologist can wow you with some of the simplest yet most complex tequila creations that ever touched your lips.
This was my first visit to this bar but certainly not my last, this place has a permanent spot on the list of bars to visit during my time in Key West. It’s ambiance is second to none located just around the corner off of Duval Street on Front Street it’s a place you can truly relax, have conversation, interact with the bar tenders as well a few people that enjoy a great quality of life.
