Do not come here! Firstly, I’m not sure when the last time any of the stylists had any training or recertification but, it hasn’t been for awhile. If you have light, fine hair, you’ll probably be ok but if your hair is thick and dark, you’ll run into issues. I had a very specific idea in mind and I brought a picture, my ends were already prelightened and I asked Julia would be able to accomplish what I had in mind. I warned her that I had thick, dark hair that had been previously colored. She assured me she was capable of doing what I asked for and to not worry. I spent 4 hours away from my family and my infant son who is nursing, for hair that was NOTHING how I asked. I asked for highlights and she gave me splotches. When I told her that this was not the color I had asked for and I was not happy with it, to cover it up with brown, her response was, «I didn’t just spend 4 hours on your hair to cover it up with brown.» She admitted that it wasn’t the right color, and asked me to come back some other day and she would try again. Try being the operative word. I went home and cried. I called the next day and asked for my money back but the manager gave me issues because they don’t offer cash refunds. I should just come back and have Julia fix it. Well after she wrecked my hair, I wasn’t about to have her touch it again. Finally the manager relented and said she would give me cash back. I went in to receive my refund because they couldn’t refund my card without having it present and again I got push-back on the cash refund. The managers point of view was that Julia shouldn’t have had to work for free since she spent so much time on my hair. Ummm… I shouldn’t have to pay for my hair to be ruined! By that time I had my kids in the car and needed to get to other places, so I allowed products to become my refund. I’ve never been so frustrated or had my hair so messed up before! I could have done a better job myself. The highlights she put it were not evenly spaced or evenly bleached. The color was sloppy and splotchy and neon orange. Gross. Do not come here.

AVOIDTHISSALON!!! I came to this salon to receive an all-over color and a haircut. I left the salon with my roots being a completely different color than the rest of my hair. They were not willing to work with my very busy schedule to fix my hair, and then they completely stopped responding to me all together. I wasted over $ 100 to get my hair done. This salon has the worst customer service and their stylists are not experienced or properly educated. AVOIDTHISSALON!!!

I have been seeing Julia at Studio North since 2008. The staff there is so friendly and welcoming. Julia always does an amazing job on my color and haircuts. I love experimenting with different styles and colors and it’s good to know my hair is in good hands. She really listens to what I want and takes the time to show me different ways to easily style my hair at home and which products to use. I have very thick curly hair, so she helps me get the right cut so it looks great whether I decide to wear it curly or straight. She is very honest when it comes to new colors and styles… I certainly trust her experience and expertise. Unfortunately, I made the mistake of using a different salon(Josephine’s Salon) and they really botched the ombré color and balayage highlights I wanted. I was really unhappy and made another appointment to get a color correction. They didn’t have an opening for a week, so I was stuck with this embarrassing dye job. They tried to fix it… but instead, my hair turned out a golden yellow color… Yuck! But when I called Studio North, they got me in the next day! LUCKILY, Julia was able to correct the color without further damaging my hair… and she did the blonde ombré color exactly how I wanted it! I got a few balayage highlights in the front and my hair looked fabulous! I got soooo many compliments on the color. If you try out this salon, you won’t be disappointed!
