Nothing special same olé low end shopping center Tex Mex food, service is usually like the food(crappy) fresh made tortillas are good but it’s just a common gimmick used these days, it’s gonna take more than that to get me to go back, 1 star because it’s only 1 step above Taco Bell

While this place does have decent food and good service most of the time, if you want to save your bank/card account from possible theft, you may want to use cash! Tonight hubby and I were eating at the bar and the high top table server laid another customers chase bank card on the bar next to us and turned his back for a good 5 minutes to attend to a table. I’m sure his customer service was good to that table however I could have taken the card or the card number or even a pic of the card for unethical purposes, if I were that type of person. When I brought it to the servers attention, even asking him if I needed to go to the card holder about it, he didn’t seem to care one bit and said my «scolding» was uncalled for… So buy beware… it obvious to me that these servers do not care how they handle their customers bank/credit cards! I gave three stars because the food and bar service is over all decent. #paywithcash

Located in the same shopping plaza as HEB Plus in Kyle. Great patio space and even on a 90 degree day they have massive utility fans to keep you cool. Came on a Saturday for lunch and service was quick. Drinks were great and food is your usual Tex mex. By noon there was a wait and you can tell big families dig the place. They don’t have drink menus and we had a sassy but great server that said the menu was in her head so just let them know what you want and they will recommend. Call me old school but I still want to see pics and options to choose from.

Make sure to check your silverware before using, very disgusting to see old food stuck the spoons and forks.

Terrible to go orders. Both times we’ve ordered to go and they messed up big. This last mess up will be our last. My husband went in on Mother’s Day to pick us up migas breakfast tacos.(4) He waited about 45mins before finally asking if they’d forgotten about his order. Within minutes of asking they had them in his hand. Our«migas“tacos that took so long ended up being scrambled eggs with only tortilla chips tossed in. That’s it! So disappointed. We didn’t even attempt to call and complain as the first mess up was handled very unprofessionally…

The food is good but unfortunately their service is not. We’ve ordered to go on 4 separate occasions & every single time they forgot to put something in the order i.e. we ordered queso & chips & fajitas for 2& the forgot the chips & tortillas. Seriously how does that happen. Another occasion we order half chicken half beef fajitas & they made only chicken & again forgot the tortillas & some of the fixings. I don’t get it, these are simple orders & they mess it up each time. To bad they have decent food, but I can’t trust them anymore. Why pay for something that’s continually going to be messed up. I’ve called about this & all I get is sorry. Very disappointing.

I’d give zero stars if I could… Went here for our rehearsal dinner a couple weeks ago and were extremely disappointed. If we wouldn’t have had a group of family and friends with us we would have left. We had made a reservation for our party in advance so they were expecting us. Drinks took forever. My husband had to ask for a water three times. They were refilled once during the time we were there(2 hrs). Took awhile for our server to come back to take our food orders. After we got our orders in we waited for an hour to receive our meals. When our food was brought out they had no idea who ordered what and auctioned off each plate. We ordered the fajitas for 2 and the came out room temp at best. Talked to the manager after it was all said and done to express our concerns and to mention the poor quality of service. He didn’t seem to genuinely care… Just the default response that it shouldn’t have happened. All around a bad experience. We were there to celebrate and ended up leaving feeling annoying and aggravated. I waited tables and bartended for years… I’m pretty forgiving on service. When it’s slow and your expecting a party the service should ATLEAST be okay.

My husband and I will go to one place only for our Mexican food and that would be Casa Garcias! Their Casa Gs special Stuffed avocados are to die for! They’re margaritas are amazing! We specifically love the big red ritas ;) very family friendly and we’ve always experienced great service! And if we ever had an issue with our food etc they fixed it right away with no issues or making us feel like horrible people!

Love the Kyle location, it’s a fun friendly atmosphere and the food is amazing! Friday nights are great for a local place to dine without the trip into Austin, and there is no settling when coming here! I love the chile con Queso paired with homemade, fresh tortillas to start. For main course there are so many options and I’ve never been disappointed. Tortilla soup, fajita nachos, green chicken enchiladas, seasonal pozole, and much more, it’s always been good. When I think of great Mexican food, Casa Garcias fits that profile! Oh and you can get breakfast all day and their various Migas plates are melt in your mouth delicious, I’ll take the a la mexicana style with a side of Bacon :)

The prime location is the only thing going for this place. It started off great when they opened but has gone downhill over the years. The quesadillas almost had no cheese. The past 4 visits the service has been terrible. I kept thinking it was just a fluke but they are very unattentive. Nice people, but just not great.

Absolutely adore the Chile Rellenos, salsa is perfect and the service is consistently good. Queso is good and the enchiladas are good too! A great place to stop for a good meal after a long work day and to meet a client for lunch or dinner!

This is our go to place for Fajitas for 2, they are always made fresh. The tortillas are made fresh daily and always delish. I love the fact that you can get breakfast any time of day. The only reason I didn’t give it a full 5 stars is because it is a little pricey and when we order the fajitas the size of the sides are small, I love their rice and my girlfriend loves their beans but they never give us enough of either. So we started coming here about 3 yrs ago, now not only are the sides smaller but the fajitas for 2 are barely enough, and the price is higher. Its pretty sad when the fixings are larger than the main dish.

The Tortilla soup was very good. There were several big chunks of chicken and avocado, so no skimping there. The spices were nice and the fresh cilantro was a nice bonus. The wait staff was very attentive and didn’t bother us that we stayed talking long after our meal. Thanks to my brother Mike and his wife, Isabel, for recommending Casa Garcia’s. We will go back again.

Short wait, reasonably priced, and super yum-yum! A small queso is HUGE, fyi. I had pan seared shrimp and couldn’t eat it all. Huge portions! Server brought fresh chips when we got low and fresh salsa when low. Server was nice without lurking/hovering. In and out in less than an hour.

We eat here a lot, and there are two things I can say that are very consistent about Casa Garcia’s: their service is always friendly and spot on; their food is very reliable. My favorites are their chips and salsa and their breakfast, which you can get at any time of day. Chips are a good thick consistency and the salsa is also thick with a rich tomato base. I especially love their migas. I also order black beans to go with it rather than refried, and I am so happy with that! The potatoes that come with it, on the other hand, need a little help. I don’t think they are homemade, or real or something. I wish they were. Family gets nachos, chicken enchiladas and fajitas, and are always happy with them. They are consistently good, served the same way, with all the sides and are huge servings. Only reason they don’t get five stars is they use a few OBVIOUS short cuts(like the potato thing).

Muy buena comida Tex-Mex Mi Jefa nos llevó a comer ahí en un viaje de trabajo, honestamente no sería mi primera elección, pero no estuvo mal. Mucha crema ácida, mucho queso, mucha comida. Como en todo Texas.

This is some of the worst Mexican fare around, I am sorry to say. It is a nice looking restaurant in a great high volume shopping center location, but that won’t fix the food problem that is the elephant in the room. I grew up in Texas, have had more than my share of Tex Mex and traveled extensively throughout Mexico. I’m willing to be reasonable and modify my expectations when it comes to Tex Mex, but Casa Garcia’s doesn’t give me anything to work with. Friends in the area sometimes like to meet there because the location is convenient. But this last time will be my last time. The food has never been great, but now it isn’t even passable fare. Gnarly little hard bits of nearly flavorless colored rice accompany the meals. How hard is it to make even passable Mexican rice? The gristly strips of meat with a ghastly red powder sprinkled on but not cooked in was no match for any tacos al pastor I’ve ever encountered. Whatever the grainy yellow stuff served as queso might be, I’m sure it never knew a cow. Every other place around has better chips. The iced tea tasted a little sour. The waitress, in probably her first few minutes in customer service work, was clueless, only taking the order with some difficulty for someone else to serve and then later depositing the tab after being nowhere in sight for 25 minutes. So what’s going on? Clearly there is little staff training and I’m not sure how it is possible to have a cook with so little talent for Mexican food right here in Texas. The ingredients used reflect no pretention of quality. The one bright spot has always been the bar, where service is informed, friendly and attentive. Just don’t eat there.

Very mediocre mexican food at best. I’m going to use a line fron Chiqui B and say this is going on my list of MexiCAN’T resturants. I got a bowl of queso for the whole table because, that’s what you do at a mexican resturant. It was grainy and thick. I think we must have gotten the bottom of the pot because it was pretty awful. Next I got a margharita, it was pretty disgusting. I drank it because where I come from, we don’t waste alcohol. It was just so sugary and frankly, I was offended that they could mess up a margharita. Service sucked. Our waiter came by twice the entire time we were eating. I don’t know, I’m just not wowed by this place. I think I’ll make the trip up the road into Austin the next time I want Mexican food.
