I stop in here every now and then before starting work and they are fairly quick getting drinks out. Came in during the Holidays with a co-worker before we set out for the day and because we were in uniforms, they comped our drinks! Thank you La Jolla Starbucks! Another bonus is you can fill up your car AND get a Subway sandwich all in one stop. And there’s a fair amount of parking available.

Someone has to fill in the bottom of the scale, and this place is the spot. Apparently this Starbucks is the perfect place for crazy old people to hang out while talking loudly to imaginary voices. It’s not like there are any paying costumers coming in for a few minutes to work on their laptops or trying to have a moment of normalcy. However, to ensure that normal costumers avoid coming again, this place makes sure to provide the weakest watered down Americanos this side of Torrey Pines.

I know there has been a lot of bad press about Pumpkin Spice Lattes, but they are super good. I have been to this location quite a few times and have never had a bad customer service experience. Even if the line is literally outside the door, it moves quickly and all customers are treated as if they are the only one there.

Of all the Starbucks I go to, the service here is the worst. But it’s near work so I tolerate their poor service cause the coffee is needed for my afternoon pickmeup. I tried to mobile order in hope my drink might be ready when I got there but it wouldn’t work. So I order my coffee — there’s no one else waiting, no mobile orders in front of me, and it still takes them ten minutes to make my drink. One person’s in back talking, the other is filling napkins & straws. It probably would have taken even longer but I stood up and gave the barista an impatient look. I felt like removing my tip from the tip jar. If you can shop elsewhere, do so.

The cold brew coffee I bought this morning was too watered down. The coffee flavor was so weak that I could hardly taste it. That’s ironic because Starbucks is famous for serving its hot coffee strong.

Worst Starbucks ever. Do not go here. Find another one. I’ve been to a lot of Starbucks but I will never return to this one. Service is unacceptable.

I frequently visit this location, as it’s very close to my house. I want to give 5 to Christina, Angel, and Justin. There’s one more white male Barista(don’t remember his name) these folks are amazing and keep me and my family going back. I’ve been coming to this location for the last 6 + yeArs. Most all of the Unilocal reviews are correct most are not friendly especially Suzie she is the most unpleasant & rude. She always has a chip on her shoulder. Every time she is the cashier I think to myself here we go again … The interrogation of the way I «should» be ordering my drink and reminding me of every up charge possible. She always charges me more than anyone else at ANY other Starbucks location. I’m really surprised that she is still employed. The last visit I had was so bad that Angel overheard the interaction and offered to comp my next drink which I graciously thanked her. Please re train or remove this employee . Thank you.

I’ve been to this location many times but never had a good experience, always due to the customer service. Do they even smile there? As a customer, you can be lucky if they get your order right — you surely won’t see a friendly face. Not sure why there’s such a weird vibe in this place — they’re lucky that this is the only coffee shop in the area.

My sister and her boyfriend were visiting from San Francisco and we wanted to grab coffee on our way to to La Jolla Cove. I knew about this Starbuck’s location and so we dropped by. When we got there, there wasn’t line. YAY! So I ordered an iced coffee, and they ordered 2 venti blonde roast coffees. The cashier told them that the blonde roast would take about 3 min to be ready. They were ok with it and so we waited. My iced coffee came out fast. I then noticed that all of a sudden there was a line of 6 people. We waited for about 15 min and still no blonde venti coffee. My sister went to the counter and the frazzled cashier apologized and even offered one of those gift card for my sister to use for a comped drink, since we waited so long. Nice, gesture. So after about 20 min of waiting, their coffee was finally ready, but it WASNOTHOT! They were barely warm! At that point we all so annoyed and hungry, that we just left. Personally, I felt bad because I, as thwir host, took them to this coffee shop. I could have taken them elsewhere, and possibly could have gotten better service. A week later my sister tried to use the gift card at one of Starbuck’s San Francisco locations, to redeem her comped drink, but the cashier said the card was not valid and it was not loaded with anything. AREYOUKIDDINGME!!! My sister explained how she got it and the male cashier didn’t even try to make it right by providing my sister the drink she was given by another Starbucks employee. I thought this corporation was highly recognized for their superior service, but this experience was far from it!!!

This Starbucks has the worst design. When it’s busy, you walk in the door and you’re automatically in line! They also give you your drinks on one end of the counter and your food on the other. If the line is long you have to cut through people to get your slow roasted ham and cheese which brings me to my next point. My breakfast sandwich had two scorch marks on the top of it but when I bit into it, the center was still frozen! The only positive was the guy refunded both our sandwiches and gave me a yogurt for free without question… what he didn’t know is I was taking it for free regardless of what he said… never going there again.

Got a croissant, spinach square, caramel frappucino and zebra mocha. Coffee was good, but the cashier was somewhat rude. Pro — separate men/women restrooms.

Go to another Starbucks location. The staff here is extremely rude and unwilling to help the customers. In the span of 5 minutes the cashier dismissed a customer, ignored another and refused to allow a third to order individual drinks because she was with a group. Good thing my local baristas are awesome or I would not go back for their overpriced drinks.

The pots were labeled with what my daughter and I each wanted, but they were out of both. They were also out of ham and cheese. They couldn’t do a pour over because they didn’t have the«right scoops». Smallish SB, okay employees. Cleanish restrooms.

Came in this morning for a coffee and a protein box. I usually go to the Starbucks by my office downtown because they’re quick and it’s convenient. I decided to come here this morning because I needed gas(there is a mobile in the same parking lot) and it’s like 5 doors away from my house. Sooooo freaking sloooooooow! Never again. I ordered a venti blonde roast sweetened with toffee nut and room for cream. Simple and quick, right? He put the syrup in my cup, filled the cup up with coffee and instead of pivoting to hand me my coffee and let me leave and be on my way to work, he put the coffee down by the machine and walked over to the toaster and proceeded to make someone elses 2 breakfast wraps. SERIOUSLY?! Don’t bother coming here if you’re in a rush. You’re on their time and they could care less about yours.

I love Starbucks! I worked there for 4 years and spend thousands of dollars on drinks, snacks and merchandise. So tell me why when I asked for a Venti ice water I was flat out refused. I spend $ 5 on a drink that costs 20 Cents and I cant get a glass of water to go with it… cmon!

The store manager is so rude! If it weren’t for the store supervisor and the awesome employes no one come here anymore. I visit this location every morning, and if she is at the register I leave and drive a mile to the other location. She never smiles, always makes people feel rushed, and talks condescending to the employes in front of the customers. One of the employes went out of his way to create a special drink for me about a year ago(which I order daily), and everyone always charges me the same price– BUTHER!!! When I brought this to her attention she was so rude and said they were all wrong, she was the manager! Please replace her with someone that cares about the customers!

Convenient location right off Ardath Rd., the main drag into La Jolla, and close to the turnoff to La Jolla Shores beach. But no parking because the lot is always full, it seems. I believe they have a drive-through but we didn’t use it. My husband double parked while I ran in to get a venti iced Americano. I like to add my own cream… lots of half-and-half. I wouldn’t want to hang out at this Starbucks at a table because it feels like grand central station, kinda busy, with more than its share of people who make you feel uneasy. But it’s convenient if you want a coffee to go. If you continue driving down Ardath rd(changes into Torrey pines rd) into la Jolla, you can get good coffee at The Mission café on Wall Street or great espresso drinks at Michelle Coulon Dessertier on Fay. Girard gourmet on Girard always has one interesting flavored coffee brewed, such as chocolate macadamia. Enjoy La Jolla, one of my favorite beautiful places to be caffeinated!
