Subway

The line went quickly. The location is good. The sandwich was what you expect from a subway sandwich but slightly poorly put together. I also paid an extra dollar for some disgustingly brown, mushy avocado… Not the best subway experience. Subway is subway.

Loved this place. On our way to the beach we stopped at the Subway next to the gas station and joined to Starbucks. It wasn’t a spectacular lunch, but it hit the spot. It came with free parking and a beautiful spot right in front and it had a bathroom. You have the option of eating inside with the AC or on the patio or take it to go and eat on the beach. We opted for inside eating. The people were so patient with me. I go to Subway on average once over 3 years. So when I walk in I look like a deer in the headlights. I have to pick a sandwich, size, meal deal, and what condiments. Thankfully no one was behind me. We must have just missed the crowd or were before it. Either way I wasn’t the most annoying customer that held up the line. I choose the chicken onion meal deal. I wanted the apples and large cup of ice to go. The sandwich was great. I put a ton of veggies on it too.
Next time I’m in La Jolla I will come back. As the parking is an issue and the time we spent eating and going potty didn’t take time away from actually going to the beach. I loved that it wasn’t busy either. I knew when we got to the beach a few blocks away everything would be wet and packed.
Five star. I will be back. Thank you for your parking spot, clean bathroom, good meal, and friendliness.
Just to let you all know they have wonderful customer service. They are patient with the clueless, don’t rush you as you make your condiment selection, double check that you didn’t miss something, let you swap out chips for apples, are friendly when they explain there is a key and where the bathroom is. Let you refill your drinks.

Defiantly one of the better Subway locations. I went there during the lunch rush on ³⁄₃₁ and the staff was very pleasant. Also, they were not sheisty with their meat and veggie portions, at least compared to other locations I have been to.

I had called in my order and had it finished off just as I arrived. The cheese and broccoli soup I also had was as good as always and even the chocolate chips were gooey and fresh to my delight. The inside was clean and neat and the workers friendly and timely. The outside was a little smelly due to the bum problem in this part of La Jolla. Call it in for a quick in and out of the crazy parking lot!

ive been to plenty of subways but this one on torrey pines road was the worst. i had a small amount of time for my lunch so i ordered a 6 in sandwich an waited for them to prepare it. i went to pay for it an gave them my credit card an as they swiped the machine they realized that their system was not working so they asked me if i had cash an all i had was two dollars so the manager asked me to leave my credot card until the system was back up an of coarse i said no so he said that i coudnt get the sandwich. first of a all it was only 4.75 an i wasted my time waiting an needless to say i did not get to have a lunch because of there store problem. terrible service.dirty store an not your normal subway experience. oh i bet they thru the sandwich away instead of taking my two dollars. terrible customer service.

Didn’t have any of the issues other people were experiencing. I’ve probably only had Subway a couple of times in my life, but the last weekend we were visiting the beach and had to swing by this place for a quick lunch 2 days in a row. The sandwiches were delicious, all the produce seemed fresh, and the service was friendly. Couldn’t get avocados on my sandwich the first day, since they weren’t ripe, which is actually a plus since the only time I’ve had subway in NY the disgusting avocado came out of a plastic packet, so it’s nice to know that they use fresh in CA. The bathroom and the store itself were very clean. Parking could be a problem though

So firstly, this Subway has rats. There was one hanging out in the chip display and as soon as it was noticed by a coworker of mine, it bolted under the soda machine.
Also the manager is really abrupt and unpleasant.
The other staff is friendly, but the manager just kills it for me.

Quite awful. Rude, ignorant, idle, unhappy staff. And my sandwich was toasted to the awesome temperature of cold. Sweet!

This is a GREAT location since it down the street from my job, bad part is traffic around here is terrible and parking is real limited! 15minute parking? okay!
The Subway employee’s are real friendly, fast, and don’t really ask you to repeat what you wanted!
I dislike how they’re always out of wheat bread! Maybe they don’t carry it at this one, who knows but i always substitute for Oak Break, its kind of the same! I don’t mind the chunk of oats sticking out! I normally get the Sweet Onion Chicken Teriyaki sub! Its freaken delish!

Ok, over and above! I can’t remember going into a business where I felt that someone cared… We went into this store to a soup foyer my daughter that want feeling well, while my son was ordering his sandwich, Tony J. got our soup so our could cool, then Mary E. ask my daughter if she
was feeling better and bought her a power aid (keep in mind this is our first time in this store) The employees not only made a great sandwich, but took the time to make sure we were ok! Thank you for making us feel appreciated! Its nice to see customer service from time to time… We will make a point to come back to this location!

These people are too stupid to have the phone numbers of any other subway. HIgh turnover. Low IQ.

This is next door to our place. Convenient to pick up a lunch if you’re stuck without a car and don’t want to walk much or eat out.
Co-​located with a Starbucks. Very convenient.

Yup, I’m rating a chain.
This particular location is just kind of odd.
Sandwiches are OK (to be expected), but I had to tell the sandwich artist SEVERAL times what I wanted on my sandwich. Then him and his friend made some pretty gross jokes.
Conclusion: avoid this place, unless you are into feeling awkward and making a chore out of ordering a sandwich.
