Having moved to Lake Charles from Wisconsin in August, pleased to have found Cotton’s. Great onions straws, burgers, fish and shrimp. And the nice lady at the register is a joy too :) will definitely be back again and again.

Local burger icon. Love it! It hasn’t changed since I was a kid and I love that about them. I definitely recommend getting the egg burger. Like, I thought it was a weird concept but it’s just amazingly spectacular.

We had a party 6 people that were recovering from a long night of gambling. After a quick search we stumbled across this gem. When we first walked in we noticed the dated café. We were greeted with a friendly staff and seated quickly. We placed our orders which was mixed with some breakfast and lunch entrees. I ordered a burger that was loaded with a pepper jam and cream cheese. It was the best burger I’ve had in a long time. My wife ordered breakfast which she said was really good. We all have this place a thumbs up which will be one of our normal stops when we’re in the area.

The catfish and shrimp dinner was delicious ($ 8.99). Real catfish well seasoned, but the cashier informed by the shrimp does not come seasoned unless I make a request. Southerners know when cooking fresh water shrimp seasoning is not necessary, because of the freshness of the natural flavor. The fries are okay, she chicken tender sandwich, homestyle burger with bacon added, and shrimp sandwich (small) were all delicious. The tastiest and most affordable food I had during my entire trip to Lake Charles. I will definitely return to Cotten’s Famous Burgers when I’m passing through or visiting Lake Charles. Caution: the line inside and drive thru gets long around 11 am, so get there early folks.

If you want a great burger and onion rings this place is a staple. Ate here 25 years ago when at McNeese and it is as delicious as i remember. They also serve very good shrimp and catfish.
If you want great food served by sweet people at a good price then stop in. Careful you will take the smell home with you.
