Love it here! Coolest coffee spot downtown Lake Charles. Chill vibe and the coffee is wonderful! I have yet to try hot tea, but the iced tea is good. I just wish the ice wouldn’t melt so fast and ruin the flavoring, but it comes from being steeped, so yeah. :(Maybe hot tea would be best. Staff are friendly and fast. Definitely a stop for coffee junkies. Brie LT sandwich is amazing! It’s a must-try! 5⁄5 stars!

Great coffee. Great seating. Wifi and soft accoustic music in the background but not loud enough to disrupt work calls. I’m just a traveler for a couple days here and will not go anywhere else!

Quaint little coffee shop in downtown Lake Charles featuring local art and music, with a chill vibe and free wifi. Breakfast is yummy but portions were smaller than expected. Beignets were okay and are made fresh to order, and they are only available during certain hours each day. The espresso machine was out of commission when I went so I wasn’t able to try their affogato, which is what I was really craving. I did get kind of weirded out when a customer stood their toddler up on top of the counter so the kid’s shoes were on there… not exactly sanitary or acceptable for a food establishment, even if they happened to be friends with one of the employees.

I absolutely LOVE this coffee house! The people are wonderful and the atmosphere is electric! I feel like I’m in another place in time. Don’t pass this place up, you’ll seriously regret it.

If you love coffee and look for independent shops when you travel, don’t get your hopes up or go out of your way for this place. Hand-poured coffee tasted pretty gross. Cold brew was OK… definitely just OK. «Fruit» Smoothies are made from super, super sweet fruit syrup mush stuff. Dusty inside and smelled like a fryer. My hair still smells like fried food. There were 10 or so patrons in the place who seemed to be enjoying themselves, so it may be a good place to go if you live in Lake Charles, but if you’re just passing through hoping for that«gem» of a local coffee shop, keep driving.

Not sure if I’d call this place stellar but it was still pretty good, and I’ll tell you why… I went here a few weeks back with my best friend on a whim. Had drove by it 1000 times downtown and would always say«one day I’m going to go there». So, we went. I had a smoothie that was mediocre at best. I personally would not recommend it. It lacked a lot of flavor — think crushed ice and a teaspoon of strawberry Nesquick. Is was weak and blah. However, my best friend really liked it. He agreed that Panera Bread has a stellar smoothie. Not exactly a fair comparing a chain with a local, but it is what it is. Then I had a fruit yogurt parfait. It was awesome. Fruits were wicked fresh. You could feel the«fuzz» on the raspberries. The guy gave me a fork to eat my yogurt with — that was fun! My best friend had a hot chocolate that was total fail. It was weak, not chocolatey in the least. It was magma hot! It burned both of our taste buds for 3 days(which is fine), but it didn’t have any taste. It was like drinking HOT water. Scalding hot pond water out of a Louisiana ditch. I wouldn’t allow my cats to drink this stuff. Hated it. BUT!!! And I mean this with everything… This place has the BEST dang sausage biscuit you will E-V-E-R eat!!! Seriously! You want a sausage biscuit that will have you rethink life? You’ll find it here. It’s that good. The biscuit it’s on, is divine and flaky. It’s seriously one of the best things I’ve ever tasted. The sausage biscuit by itself is 5 stars. The place? It’s quaint. It’s nice. It’s quiet. It’s lovely. Great place to come and pop a squat. I’ll be return here, but it wasn’t a favorite.

Love this coffee shop! Came here on a cold day for a warm drink. Staff was friendly. There was a music artist there at the time because the coffee shop is trying to promote local talent(yay!) and she was wonderful. Very courteous crowd. Drinks were great. Plenty of seating.

Didn’t even get to try the coffee or breakfast offerings. Stood in line with one person in front of us. The one server behind the counter slowly took his order, then walked back, took a drink from her cup and started. Didn’t care that she had other customers waiting, just worked at her own slow speed. We waited for much longer than we should have had to, without a word spoken to us, then walked out. Grrrr

Not only is this a great place to work, Stellar Beans is also Lake Charles’s coolest coffee shop! Toting a semi-hipster vibe, this coffee shop is super relaxed and has chairs and sofas for all butt preferences, and has occasional live music to make it even better place to chill. Aside from the relaxed ambiance, Stellar Beans has some good food. The coffee is apparently from NOLA’s famous Café du Monde and the freshly-made croissant sandwiches are excellent for a light breakfast and brunch. I highly recommend at least stopping by here for a quick relaxed coffee break or breakfast in the historic Lake Charles downtown!

Never knew Lake Charles had a downtown. Coffee shop was quite cute, we went to check out an Irish Folk singer. Haven’t had a Snicker Doodle coffee in years so I was pretty excited to see it on their menu. Coffee was very good. There were unique local art hanging throughout their walls which I liked. I also liked the different art on each table top. There were couches comfy chairs you can sit, games, books. Seems like a great spot for coffee and hang with friends. Not too sure about their food menu but from what I saw at the tables next to me for the price it just seemed small and should be more appetizing. I’m sure the flavor is good but presentation didn’t look interesting.

HAD to stop and get come caffeine driving through LA. Found this little place on Unilocal and glad I stopped. Nice atmosphere with really good coffee. Laid back with sofas and books/magazines. Next time I’m through the area I’ll be grabbing my cuppa Joe here.

I got a sound response from the proprietor over my previous review, and I’ll admit my sample size was probably too small to be fair. Go down here, try a Stellar Iced Coffee(they’re really good) and support a local business!

The iced coffee here is comparable to some of the best I have had. This place has a cool/trendy environment and a neat little lounge area.

This is a cool place to stop by, have a coffee, get some reading done and check out some local artwork. When I stopped by, there were a couple of businessmen collaborating, a mom with her kids and two tweens spending their time working on some art. I will definitely stop by again when in Lake Charles
