Flavorful dishes and good service. Chicken vindaloo was tender, saag paneer and garlic naan paired well, and the vegetarian samosas were crispy and filling. Will definitely return.

Hmmmm??? Sports bar meets Indian food??? Totally works. Food was delicious, service fast and friendly, great lunch menu. Tucked back away from the street, so as a previous reviewer noted, look for the paint store. Will definitely be back.

I LOVE the food here! I’ve tried a few different dishes, both in house and take out(the lunch chicken wrap is my favorite!) and it is consistently delicious! I’ve read a few reviews about what sounds like a Groupon deal fiasco, and I totally understand the frustration from customers, but the pricing without a discount is really fair! The place has TV’s, full bar, and although its a little outside the hub of downtown Lafayette– I actually like that for a change of scene! Service was a little slow– but my husband and I will definitely dine here again.

I was here for a send off party for a colleague. The food was good. The service was excellent. They gave us no chance to be unhappy. Will definitely visit again.

Purchased a groupon, owner said they don’t accept it? Why do you advertise your business on groupon if you don’t accept it? I drove 40 mins there one way

Whenever I’m in the area, this is my lunch spot. You have not truly lived until you’ve tried some fresh garlic naan, with the lamb curry, and racer 5. At first it may sound like a strange combo, but it goes together better than Jay Z and Beyonce. The owner has the energy of 50 puppies and is extremely kind. The theme is interesting, sports bar Indian restaurant, but if Im honest with myself I wish every dining experience came with full service bar, along with tv’s to catch the game. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been forced to not watch the game to eat with a friends or family. Never an issue here. Overall great food, nice staff, and unique theme.

The food was good and the environment was interesting. The garlic naan and tikka masala was one of the best in the area. Their mixed drinks were pretty decent. Mojito and pink plum was made well.

Food was descent. Chicken tikka was very bland, needed salt. Rice was under cooked. Chicken samosa was delicious. I wouldn’t go back unless I had another Groupon.

I want to set the record straight— this restaurant has great tasting Indian food… I would go out on a limb and say best in Lamorinda area. I love Indian food and have been to India a few times and this food is legit. Some of the reviews I’ve read here talk about the structure of the restaurant, not having a hostess as you walk in, not accepting groupons. Hmm, no comment, Lafayette.(What would these people think of all the amazing hole in-the-wall Indian restaurants in Berkeley?) If you are home and you get a sudden craving for lamb vindaloo or chicken masala– this is a solid place to go. Food is served fresh, authentic flavors. This is a family business, and the server was very friendly and courteous. We’ve been here twice and both times were really good. I think the best deal is the tandoori combo– chicken, lamb, fish. If you order spicy, it’s really spicy so if you’re not sure, order mild.

Overall, the food quality ranged from OK to very good, but the spiciness was an issue. The sports bar/restaurant concept is a bit odd; we just visited for dinner. So, back when I lived in NY20 years ago, there were two kinds of Indian restaurants: those that catered to us non-Indians, and those that were authentic. At the former, I could easily enjoy a medium or even spicy dish. At the latter, I would order mild, or «mild with a bit of heat.» At T’s Firehouse for the first time yesterday, I was a bit shocked when my «medium» turned out to be uncomfortably hot.(And it wasn’t just us; we overheard the family at the next table saying the same.) We ordered a vegetable pakora(nice), tandoori vegetables, and chicken biryani. The tandoori vegetables had a bit of really lovely paneer cheese in it. However, it was also overloaded with filler onion and green papper(there were actually two whole onion quaters in it, which were totally wasted.) The chicken biryani was very nice, except that was the medium dish, so it was far too hot. I’m not against authentic Indian spice levels, I just wish they would have communicated it better. If we go back, we’ll order only mild.

Nice concept, okayish food. The owner seemed like a nice guy, but kind of rushed us to order the food. And then forgot to bring out our appetizer — which came along later with our entrees. The food itself was ok — not very authentic Indian. We had paneer tikka masala — it looked unnaturally colored(too red), and Dal makhani. Wheat Rotis — were nice and hot. The biggest turn off was their squeaky kitchen door — it just kept squealing non-stop!

Unfortunately I can’t offer an opinion on the food or service because we were turned away, something that I think will result in the closure for any new business. I purchased a groupon and was really excited to use it as Indian food is our favorite. Upon entering the restaurant, there was a sign posted that says the restaurant was no longer honoring $ 40 Groupon certificates. I asked the man there about it, and he acted nonchalantly, and he told me that Groupon will give me a refund. So let me get this straight… You’re a brand new restaurant, and you have the choice of me trying your new restaurant, and possibly enjoying it, and of course becoming a repeat customer AND referring the restaurant to my friends and family… but you would rather welch on the groupon and save a few bucks? Ok, good luck with that…

Indian food meets sports bar. Nice place but mediocre food. My boyfriend was raving about this restaurant and instead of driving to the new izakaya restaurant in walnut creek we decided to be lazy and eat nearby. I was pleasantly surprised by the interior. It’s actually a nicer Indian restaurant with white linen and pre-set tables and a full bar to the right. We were greeted immediately and a friendly waiter poured our waters. Another waiter came to take our order shortly and was helpful in recommendations. What we ordered: Garlic naan — not the best naan but is a must when it comes to smothering all that curry goodness on. If made more garlicky and crispier it would taste better. Tikka massa chicken — chicken was ok, not dry but it came in the teeniest serving and a red curry instead of yellow. It didn’t look like my usual tikka masala or taste like it. I was quite disappointed because this is typically my favorite dish. Mixed seafood curry — this was a dish the waiter recommended. I liked this curry more which resembled a tikka masala curry. My only complaint was that there wasn’t enough seafood and looked more like a dish of sauce. There were about 2 – 3 shrimps and the smallest pieces of calamari and fish. So not worth $ 14. Overall, I felt the presentation and service was good but the food was average. I rather have great food for a reasonable price versus ambiance and presentation. If I come back there was a sizzling platter everyone else appeared to order. I think it was the tandoori platter.

We headed here for lunch thanks to having a Groupon. Might never have stopped in otherwise. Glad we did though! The food was very good, not mind blowing but quality. We ordered the chicken vindaloo spicy which wasn’t as hot as I hoped, but spicy with a lingering heat. We also ordered at the owner/waiter’s suggestion the tandoori veggie platters. Like Indian veggie fajitas. Tasty but could use more broccoli(winner) and less onions(good but too many). The paneer naan was tasty, as were the samosas. We couldn’t decide between veggie and chicken so he gave us one of each. I think I preferred the chicken. Nice big space for watching a soccer match and eating quality Indian.

Indian Sports Bar in Lafayette? Loved the idea but the food and service, not so much. We ordered a few dishes and nothing we ate was worth a repeat visit. We had: –chicken tikka masala(the masala sauce in jar at Trader Joe’s is better) –saag paneer(this was actually our favorite) –mixed veggies(basically sauteed onions and bell peppers) –ordered tons of naan, garlic and plain The best thing about the dinner here is that they had baseball games on the many TV screens and they have beer on tap for husband. Food is not great and I’m fine to not come back. They tried to be helpful but we had to ask for water refill 3 – 4 times and they didn’t remember. Less than half of the tables were occupied so they were not really busy. I eventually walked our empty water glasses up them near the bar for refills. I’ll stick to Swad’s for Indian in Lamorinda.

I had a craving for Indian food this past Saturday. This place did not fulfill my craving. I like to measure a restaurant on staples that I get plus a few extras(usually if I’m with other people). I had a groupon and got chicken tikka masala and saag paneer with rice to go. The saag paneer was very runny/watery. The ctm was alright but nothing to write home about. Service — lacking. I felt like I put the guy out and he never said thank you. And this is a small thing but I never got my change, which was only a quarter so I didn’t make a big deal about it. But come on… Atmosphere — a little odd, there are these tiny«conference rooms» in the entryway — they put a piece of art in one, another room they put a type of Indian spindle, and the other they put a pool table but you can’t possibly play pool in that cramped space. Also, the dining room was really really quiet — barely any conversation and no music. I just thought an assisted living dining room showed much more liveliness.

Authentic style Indian food in a full bar(yes, Indian sports bar) environment. Try the chicken tikka masala. Amazing! Medium, mild or spicy. Ts firehouse is ling overdue for this area. Great hours for the area(everything closes at 9pm in Laf) — open late! Very accommodating and willing to spruce up the menu upon request. It’s a bit hidden behind the KellyMoore Paint store but plenty of Parking and good lighting. Safe and family fun environment. Heavy pours at the bar and generous portions of food. Love this place. It’s great to have in the area! Enjoy, my local and visiting friends!

You get the sense that T’s isn’t your typical Indian restaurant the second you walk in the door. Has more of a feeling of a local tavern or sports bar. I for one welcome the conscious attempt to be a bit different, as compared with most other Indian restaurants that have the feeling of eating in a retirement home. They do suffer a bit from having an odd location just outta the main drag in lafayette and not very visible from the road. A lot of the business seems to be takeout as I rarely see more than a couple people in here at any given time. Which is a shame cause the food is great! I have been here several times and have never ordered anything that was less than delicious. Good food at reasonable prices. They even have some pretty good beers on tap too.(Boont amber ale. Mmm) On occasion, my only deterrent coming here is knowing that we would probably be eating in a fairly empty room. Kinda the feeling I get when I’m in a store and its closing. I hate that! Though with some quality food/drinx, hopefully the word will get out more and T’s will be around for a while…
