Where to go on a beautiful late afternoon to eat? The Deck is a prime spot with a beautiful view and a delicious meal. Many times the restaurants with the views don’t have the best food, but that is not the case with The Deck. My daughter and I enjoyed the generous size caprese salad(love they add avocado slices) and Beach Burger. Everything was fresh and the burger was grilled perfectly. We were there at 4:00 so were seated right away at a table right at window. Beautiful spot! Minus 1 star as I wish they would turn the music down a tad so we could enjoy hearing the ocean waves and conversation a little more.

Came in with two other friends on the Sunday during Memorial Day weekend around 11:30 am after we hiked Aliso and Wood Canyon. It wasn’t crowded at all and we were seated right away. It was our first time here and we loved that it sat right on the beach! The parking is either valet for $ 7 or you can park on the street and pay the meters. I believe it is only two hours, so if you’re planning on staying at the restaurant for more than 2 hours, you’ll have to go back and put more money in. I believe we put in money for about an hour and 20 minutes of parking. Although there was no Sunday brunch, there were mimosas available, which was good enough for us. We even ordered a whole champagne bottle($ 30) for our mimosas. We had Amon as our waiter and Nick brought some of our drinks out. They were great and kept checking up on us! I ordered the Baja Rockin’ Lobster Quesadilla(appetizer, $ 19), and my two other friends ordered the grilled cheese with tomato soup($ 16) and the caprese salad($ 12). The food here is SOGOOD. It might be a little bit more on the expensive side for some, but you’re in Laguna Beach so it’s expected. 4 stars because our food took a super long time to come out. We had to go back to our car twice to put more money in the meter. They said that it was because they were busy, but the 3 tables around us who got sat down after us got their food before we did. :(

Went for drinks and appetizers on a Sunday afternoon in early June. The weather was nice that day so we expected to wait a while before getting a table, even for 2. The hostess told us 45 minutes so we just went to the bar to grab a cocktail while we waited. It was busy, but not that packed, yet still we waited at the bar for nearly 10 minutes before a bartender even acknowledged us or offered to take our drink order. I ordered the Seaworthy, a refreshing rum based cocktail. It was delicious! Once we were seated at a table we ordered a few small plates, the shrimp tacos, ahi tuna tartare & lobster quesadilla. Everything tasted great, but if you’re hungry don’t order the tacos… they were tiny and mostly shredded cabbage. The view from The Deck is amazing, you’re literally on the beach with an unobstructed view of the ocean. The chill house music they were playing was really good too(think Kygo & Duke Dumont). It definitely added to the swanky beach vibe. I’ll for sure be going back this summer.

I tried the lobster quesadilla for my appetizer and it was the best ever! Who would have thought that lobster taste amazing in a quesadilla?! Also you have to try the grilled cheese. For something so simple it’s so great! 5 stars for sure.

Well you definitely cannot beat the view here! The food was great although we only had appetizers and drinks. Can be a bit chilly because there aren’t that many heaters out there! And very busy because you can’t make reservations! They told us it would be a 45 min wait but it was only about 25.

Pricey but worth it. On the water and really cool vibe. Your in Laguna so expect to pay premium prices. Drinks and food were great. Even saw a whale passing by as we enjoyed our appetizers and cocktails. It can get a bit loud, but that is a lot of restaurants these days.

This is a great place for dinner with a view in Laguna Beach! The wait on weekends can get a bit long, so put your name down and walk around the shops downtown. We were quoted 45 minutes at 6:30pm on a Saturday, but a seat became available after around half an hour. The outside deck area is pretty small, but definitely very cozy! There are heat lamps and blankets to keep you warm at night, which is a nice touch. Definitely come during the sunset– what a gorgeous view to complement a delicious meal. I ordered the Red Tide drink, which was fruity and refreshing with real watermelon chunks in it. I also split a half dozen oysters, which came with 3 different varieties and the cutest mini Tabasco bottles. The oysters were delicious and tasted very fresh. For my main course, I ordered the laguna cioppino, which had a generous amount of seafood, and the tomato saffron broth was very flavorful. I would have preferred it hotter, as the dish was lukewarm. A pretty good cioppino overall, but I’ve had better. Valet parking here is 7 dollars.

The deck has become one of my favorite places to eat. Great food, great service and the view is breathtaking. Last night I had oysters which were amazing, and the cioppino which had lots of shellfish and the broth was so flavorful. My husband had the Mahi sandwich and he was very happy with it. Most of all we got to sit and watch the beautiful sunset while we were sipping drinks and eating our food. I am never disappointed at The Deck, highly recommend!!!

BEWARE: Leather Jacket was stolen from my backseat when I valet my car. This review is going to be mixed because the bar area for the deck is nice — it has a beautiful view of the ocean and the every one of the staff is pretty nice. We sat at the bar and the drinks were good. My issue is that I had a leather jacket in my back seat and when I returned, the jacket was gone. I asked if they lock the car when they park it, and they said yes and denied a jacket was ever there. The manager took my number in case they find it, but I’m guessing it’s gone.(no apologies either.) Please don’t let this happen to you and lock up everything.

Sadly when I went the«deck» was closed due to rain but if it wasn’t raining, I’m sure it would have been amazing to sit out there and watch the ocean. The service was great, and the food was decent… It was definitely not«Amazing». It was very standard brunch food and I was a little upset because I was expecting a lot more but it wasn’t a terrible experience. I had the Laguna Beach Omelet: Dungeness Crab, Purple Haze Goat Cheese, Avocado and my friend Michelle had the DK Benedict: Berkshire game and Blood Orange Hollandaise. One thing about the Laguna beach omelet though, it was a little bit too cheesy and creamy for my liking… even dousing it in tabasco did not help much. Personally I did like the place but I wouldn’t really be sure about coming here more than once.

6 words, one order. Dungeness crab & shrimp Louie salad. You must order this! It is so yummy! We didn’t have reservations for lunch, but it was a Tuesday. We were seated immediately while a open view to the beach. It was a foggy day, but it wore off quickly. We ordered skinny margaritas which were gross. They make them with soda water. I saw someone with a bloody mary that looked amazing and wish I had changed my order. Anyway… we had guacamole + chips for an appetizer and the salad for our entrée. Food was served in a timely manner(almost a little too quick). They have valet parking available. I’m not sure if I would recommend this place more for food or ambiance. I’m thinking more ambiance. If you’re there at the right time, I heard can see whales migrating south.

We have our standard go-to restaurants in Laguna like Nicks and Watermarc, but we decided to venture out and try something new. I had read good reviews about the Deck and Driftwood Kitchen, but we went with the Deck because I liked their menu better. When we showed up on a Saturday night the place was packed. It’s right on the water with the restaurant basically just being a deck on the beach. It was cold the night we came, and I was bummed that they didn’t have any heaters for outside. This kinda ruined the ambience for me. We ordered the hummus per suggestion from our server, the steamed clams and mussels, and the halibut. Overall the food was just average. I liked the clams and mussels and the addition of the sausage to the broth. It was very flavorful. The fish was forgettable. Overall The Deck would be a cool place to have drinks during the day or on a warm night, but there are way better food options in Laguna.

They lose 1 star for the fact that it is wayyy too compact. Literally shoulder to shoulder, no personal space at all. However their food, definitely gets 4 stars, the steak was cooked EXCELLENT. Perfect! All the meat was cooked so perfect never had steak cooked so well. So hats off to the chef! Beach burger was AMAZING, the steak was great but i have to say the beach burger was wayyy better Enough said, I’d def come back.

Gorgeous location, great food, and great service — what’s not to love? On our first visit here, *Adam* made a great impression on us and really helped us enjoy our visit. He really seems to love his job and was in a great mood during our meal, which of course helped put us in a good mood. We enjoyed the massive shrimp salad, delicious deck tacos, and perfect guacamole and chips. The guacamole was perfectly chunky and well seasoned, and the deck tacos had the perfect combination of flavor and textures. We parked for free up at the main entrance of the hotel and walked down, but you can valet right at the entrance(go down the little hill) of the restaurant for $ 7. Or you can park on PCH at a meter. I highly recommend making reservations, as we noted many disgruntled people waiting and fuming as they had long wait times for tables, especially for groups(it was a beautiful sunny Sunday, after all). We’re definitely going to be back for more brunches and cocktails! I definitely want to come for cocktails at sunset one of these days…

LOCATIONLOCATIONLOCATION!!! I can hear my realtor now! Me on the other hand… with belly growling — FOODFOODFOOD!!! What’s not to like !!! Right on the beach, great service and good food! You would need to valet, which ran 7.00. Which was whatever… I prefer to park my own car, but it is what it is… Came around lunch time on a Friday with preggers. Hostess had us seated in about 2 minutes with an amazing view — practically right on the beach. Place was packed too — so we were lucky! What we ordered: Ginger beer — non alcoholic IPA…okay FINE… A FEW IPAs! Steamed Venus Mussels and Clams — **** ½ Caprese Salad — ***** White bass — *** weak Kushi oysters — **** And there you have it. You welcome and enjoy! Nice spot to chill and catch the sunset.

Amazing location, all our food was very nicely done, and the staff were friendly and attentive despite the chaos of a perfect Saturday brunch-time rush. We arrived around 11am(with no reservation, mind you,) and were able to immediately sit four with two children. Despite there being no change table in the bathrooms, the baby did just fine observing the crashing surf and happy sunny faces around her. Fish tacos, pork belly, Mahi sandwiches, and tuna poke were ordered, as well as a delicious Bloody Mary and three signature cocktails(a Laguna Mule or something along those lines). A great time was had by all and I would definitely recommend this place to anyone wishing for a great Laguna beach dining experience.

This restaurant is located in an alleyway. The valet parking is $ 7, but you can also find metered street parking which is free at night. We went to the deck which has a great dinner view over the beach. There was no wait and we were able to sit right by the ledge because it was a slow night. They also brought out blankets for us since it was chilly outside. The staff was super nice and friendly. I ordered a grilled cheese and tomato soup. The grilled cheese is hearty and has bits of bacon to fill you up. The soup is great too. Pro tip — try dipping your grilled cheese into your soup! I think it was around $ 17. This is a great place to relax with friends and enjoy the beach!

I have been to the Rooftop & Las Brisas in Laguna Beach, so I had to hit The Deck. It is located on Sleepy Hollow, off South Coast Highway, just South of the 133. They offer surf & turf, and entrée salads. The food is better compared to previously reviewed Rooftop. We ordered a caprese salad($ 12 — not pictured), dungeness & shrimp louie salad($ 19), steamed clams & mussels w/portuguese sausage($ 13), Laguna cioppino($ 24 — clams, fish, mussels, shrimp), and a burger($ 17). To drink, I had a red tide($ 12 — reyka vodka | watermelon | cranberry lime-sour | mint | soda). First of all, the drink was outstanding. It was so refreshing on a hot summer day. However, be careful! You can hardly taste the alcohol. I was buzzing after one drink — LOL! Secondarily,‘the salads were both very good. The portions were large for the price. In the case of my salad, it came w/a lot of seafood, and I couldn’t finish it: 4 Stars. Thirdly, the clams & mussels brok da mout(tasted very good). There were a ton of fresh clams & mussels, and the broth was seasoned nicely w/garlic and the sausage. This dish ate like a meal, and was a bargain @ $ 13: 5+++ Stars. Likewise, the cioppino was stacked w/seafood. We had to come to the rescue of my cousin, and help her finish: 5 Stars. Lastly, the burger was a bit basic for the price, and should have come with bacon on top & fries on the side: 3 Stars. Regarding the ambiance, you can’t beat it during good weather. To me, there is nothing like looking at the ocean while eating, and being so close to the ocean, makes it even better: 5 Stars. Additionally, the service from Paige and her team was excellent. She was super nice(as well as being a cutie), and she and her team took great care of us: 5 Stars. Idk what took me so long to come here. Laguna Beach has the feel of a real beach city(unlike Huntington), because you have places like this right on the water. In addition, great food, excellent service, and killer cocktails make The Deck a must visit when you are in town.

Belle terrasse avec super couche de soleil sur l’océan mais ce lieu est bruyant ! Un bar branchouille ou on mange des hamburgers moyens !
