My friend and I came to try this place out and also to eat dinner before going to Menchie’s. My friend ordered three pizza slices of the White Pizza and I got the Ziti with Chicken Parmesan. The White Pizza is really good and the slices are quite big. The Ziti with Chicken Parmesan comes with a garlic bread and the whole dish is quite yummy. It is a pretty big portion as well. After eating one piece of pizza, I was only able to eat maybe half of it. We didn’t have to wait long for our food and the people were friendly enough.

Love this pizza place. They sent out a completely complimentary pizza to welcome new residents of the area when we first moved to LG. Now it’s definitely our go to pizza place! Great quality food. I highly recommend.

Good pizza! Many varieties. Awesome garlic knots — be sure everyone in the group has one. It’s a lot of garlic. I know they have other things on the menu and I’m sure I’ll try them eventually but so far it’s about the pizza. A really good pie. Do yourself a favor and order it. Go get your dry cleaning, pick up your wine at CVS or Albertsons(who FINALLY got on board with everyone else, price-wise, that is! What took you so long Albertsons?) then go back for your steaming hot pizza to go. They’re friendly — unlike my other fave NY pizza spot. Not a bargain pizza but a solid 5 stars on the pie. Could be a little more attention in the front of house. Tables and floors could use quicker busing — it’s the one turn-off. Otherwise the whole 5.

Awesome pizza, I enjoy coming here after seeing a movie at the Director’s Cut. Wish they had some more varieties but the Mediterranean is my favorite. Crust is always perfect and the portions are huge. Great service.

Amazing pizza! They sell it by the slice also and it’s authentic NY style pizza. Love this place and it’s great for pick up or delivery. You can’t go wrong with any of the pizza. Staff is very friendly and delivery is quick

So I have been a customer of New York Upper Crust since the location off of Crown Valley and Greenfield first opened a very long time ago and many many years before the location near my home(Golden Lantern & Marina Hills) was even a twinkle in anyone’s eye. I place 99.9% of my orders to go. They now have a new policy that you have to order your pizza slices when you get there because(from what one of the employees told me) a customer voiced a complaint that they sold the slices that she wanted to someone on the phone while she was in line. Okay, so I don’t just order slices. everyone in my family wants something different. They will take the order for other items over the phone, but not slices… So guess what… Somebody always gets a cold rubberized meal every time we go which will now be a rare event because the new policy is ridiculous and I just paid the price again!!! I would like to find out who the customer was that went off on the employee that works at Upper Crust that could not stand up for the fact that they have been operating for decades with a system that actually worked, and tell the customer that the world does not revolve around her. I would also like to tell the people that make the rules at Upper Crust that that I am certain that their business will suffer. and I am sure is suffering from people like me that are upset. Forget about the business of mine that they will loose. How many times will you eat a cold rubbery pasta dish or cold pizza or something else that should be served hot before you decide to scratch Upper Crust off of your list of choices when trying to decide«what’s for dinner»??? Wake up before you loose more customers!!!

All the guys here are always so nice! I’ve been coming here for years & the only complaint is when they are out of white pizza. Usually never happens but every once in awhile they’re out. & that they don’t deliver. That would make them even better. Just had some white pizza last night! They also have beer which is nice when you’ve had a long day.

Wasn’t impressed with this place. I mean the décor says pizza place and New York pizza. But service wasn’t great and pizza just wasn’t up to par. It was good but not a new York pizza. Honestly I prefer z pizza to this place. That’s saying something. Pricing was awful.

The pizza is good but the service is just meh. Sometimes they will be arguing in front of customers. I’ve seen customers ask them reasonable questions and they act annoyed and are very short with them.

Being from New York, I have a very specific idea in mind when you say New York Style pizza. Sadly, this did not live up to that title. The pizza isn’t bad, but the crust is much too thick for me to consider it New York style. My quest for a taste of home continues.

I have to agree with earlier post about little Caesars. I just got a Sicilian pie and honestly it is so cheap with the ingredients. definitely definitely not like New York. And the garlic knots I just got don’t even taste like garlic. Not even a piece of garlic on it. Premium price for a pizza not even as good as little Ceasars. 30 bucks for a pizza with hardly any cheese or sauce and garlic knots which do not taste like garlic. Over priced for cheaply made pizza

Does not taste like NY style pizza. Try Rocco’s much better. Pretty much a chain like tasting pizza.

Words can’t even express how much I love this place! I had recently came back from New York and I was missing the pizza SO badly, my friend reminded me of this place and oh my gosh, it was the closest thing to actually ny pizza(good thing the name lives up to it!!) Ps… The staff is awesome! I’ve ordered many pizzas here and came in just to get a slice, they really make the experience. Must try BBQ pizza and there garlic knots

I just got finished eating some of this place’s cheese pizza that my roommate bought. Bite for bite, it reminded me of Little Caesars’ $ 5 cheese pizza. When I eat Little Caesars’ cheap pizza, it’s 99% dough with a thin film of cheese and sauce. I rationalize that with how cheap it is. NY’s Upper Crust Pizza is the exact same, except with a gourmet price. I feel like I just ate a loaf of bread with some pieces of cheese on the side. The price point for the cheese pizza here is in no way justified. I think, barring Little Caesars, this was the most underwhelming cheese pizza I have ever eaten in my entire life. Actually, maybe not — it might be tied with Pizza Hut. If I order one of their specialty pizzas, I’ll update my review. Edit Update: I ate a specialty pizza, and it was the same experience.

Live a few blocks away from this place. The pizza is sooooo good. The salads are pretty good as well, large portions. But my favorite thing is garlic knots. The food is always delicious and has never disappointed me. I would have given 5 stars, but it’s too pricey and compared to other pizza companies, it can be greasy. The price bothers me the most, or else I’d be in there more often.

In Laguna Niguel? well if you are and you don’t want your subway or Mcdonald fix you want something original? Try NY Upper Crust Pizza! I came in on a Saturday around 2:30pm. it wasn’t busy but there was some patrons there. The place is a little small so I can see lines getting long and seats to be filled fast. If your driving by you might miss this hidden gem! I order there special 2 slices and a drink for $ 7. 01. kinda pricey but it hits the spot. Each slice is pretty wide! It’s to large to fold up it’ll bend on you! But that’s always a good problem! upon ordering they will stick your slices in the oven for about 3 min. just enough to leave a nice crisp on the bottom. The pizza tasted great I would definitely recommend this joint just for a take out slice or two on the run. not much of a joint to take a date to, but just to take care of your pizza needs! If I’m in the Laguna Niguel and craving pizza you’ll find me ordering take out here!
