Big, juicy burgers and great garlic fries. The place was pretty empty when we went one afternoon, and everybody eating there was a local. The people behind the counter were friendly. Was a good spot to get some reasonably priced food while on vacation.

One of the best burger-and-shake places I’ve tried. So many choices for your burger — love the variety! Let me be clear– this isn’t Fast Food… this is a fantastic local burger spot, so order up and settle in while they make your huge, juicy burger to order. Big burgers, thick shakes, lots of options to mix it up. And while you’re at it, cancel your dinner reservations. After a lunch here, you won’t need to eat again until tomorrow(at the soonest)! I live within 45 minutes of the mainland Teddy’s — going to have to head there, too!

A good burger. Nice to be able to choose how much meat you want. Reminds me a lot of 5 Guys. You can taste the better quality meat, the additions are generally good, but the bacon wasn’t crisp. Excellent fries. Very nice service. Will come back.

I haven’t even had a chance to eat my meal and this place has lost my business. First off, it needs to be a sit down, have a server come to your table type restaurant because apparently people on both ends of the counter forgot how to give and receive orders. A server would be able to take other orders while these tourists try to figure out what a Teri burger is. Then we can sit and socialize with our company while they slaughter, clean and grind the cow into a somewhat decent burger. Then finally when our order is ready, it will be prepared wrong. We asked for our order to go and they made it to stay. The girl at the front counter was too timid to vocalize her heartless apology. Needless to say, our meal was not as fresh as it should have, was the precise opposite of ‘fast food’ although it has all the looks of a fast food operation. Thanks, but no thanks. We won’t be going there again.

I have been to their Bothell Washington location, so I had to try this location. I appreciate all the CHOICES. I always have them put pineapple on my burger, and mushrooms. The pickles are delish. The staff was friendly and helpful. It isn’t super fast because they make it for you after you have ordered it, and you get a fresh burger. I get the 5 ounce burger that is very filling. The music is always uptempo and enjoyable. They staff also keeps the restaurant very clean.

Amazing burger in a fast food style restaurant. We stopped by for a quick bite on our way to the airport. Hubs got the #1 Big Combo, I got the #1 Big Combo Lahaina Style(burger with grilled pineapple, bacon, Swiss cheese, & jalapeños). Both burgers were 5oz and plenty of meat. Food was served in about 5−10min. Fries were crispy, burgers cooked perfect, all was very flavorful. Plus, it’s off the«touristy» path so lots of locals were dining as well including kids from the local high school wrestling team(Go Luna’s!) Lots of school spirit was had by diners and workers!(If the hubs didn’t clarify this review was written by my lovely wifey)

We really wanted to like this place but unfortunately the long wait and high prices for okay burgers didn’t fly too well with us. We ordered the ranchero, Cajun, protein, and custom burgers. The hamburger patty was good but the bun just didn’t hold up well and broke apart completely while we tried to eat it(except the protein burger). Buns were burnt. The garlic fries were okay but totally drenched in garlic oil. Unfortunately the garlic were not freshly pressed and I could tell they came from a jar probably from Gilroy, CA. I say that because it looks like garlic and taste like garlic but really lacks the umpf and smell of garlic. At best, I’d give this place 2.5 stars.

Not too bad. Very busy. It took about 15 – 20 mins to put an order then 30+ mins to get food. Service was okay. Employees were too busy to give much attention to customers.

Right after we landed in Maui our first stop on the way to our hotel was Teddy’s Bigger Burgers. It’s located in a small shopping center off the main strip in Lahaina. If you take a right after the drive thru Starbucks, it’ll be on your left. We arrived a little after 2:00pm on a Monday and were happy to find that there wasn’t a line and plenty of tables to sit at. The inside reminds me of a cross between a Five Guys, and an In n Out Burger with a prime color palette and fast food flair. I ordered the Veggie Burger with Avocado and my Husband had a Burger and we split a medium order of Spicy Seasoned Fries. The total was around $ 50 which we found to be commonplace on Maui for a family of 4. I enjoyed my Veggie Burger; especially the sauce they put on the burger and the avocado/bun. The veggie patty is one that you will find everywhere on the island, but it’s better than the Morningstar/Boca Burgers we have at home. My Husband enjoyed his burger and was stuffed after eating the medium sized one. Get the small one for a regular meal; they’re huge! The Spicy Seasoned Fries were OK(they had a sprinkling of some powdered seasoning on them) but I didn’t find them spicy. I actually preferred the Garlic Fries more(which the kids ordered) because they had great flavor and tons of garlic! I would definitely come back to Teddy’s when in Maui again. They have really good looking shakes(that I regret not trying) and shake/burger specials depending on the month/season.

I love Teddy’s. LOVEIT! If we go to Lahaina for any reason and don’t wind up at Teddy’s, I’ll pout for pretty much the entire day thereafter. My husband, son, and I went in for a late lunch/early dinner before heading back to Wailuku. As usual, the place was bright, clean, and cheerful, and retro music was playing. We placed our order– a big one, with some upgrades!– and I was surprised when I saw the receipt that it was only $ 33 for the three of us. Kama’aina discount for the win here! My husband had his usual Western burger, I got a #2 combo with cheese tots, and we got the corn dog kids’ combo for our son. We waited about ten minutes for our food, and when it arrived, everything was positively delicious! My burger was so thick, juicy, and perfectly cooked, and the bun held up nicely to all the juice and sauce. The cheese tots were totally perfect– nicely seasoned, hot, and stayed crispy under the cheddar cheese sauce that topped them. SOGOOD! I do not get excited about hamburgers, usually. In fact, I am not that much of a meat eater. But biting into a juicy, hot, savory Teddy’s burger is one of my favorite experiences. Delicious!

A solid option for a burger in Maui. A little tired of the fish fare around town, we decided to cave into our inclination to mix things up a bit. Ted’s had great reviews. We dove in. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The burgers were delivered quickly and to order. The French fries were piping hot. The chili on the chili cheese fries was great. Rich, thick and hot as well. Definitely worth a return trip.

Teddy’s burgers are pretty good. I ordered the original burger with fries. My husband ordered a double burger with onion rings. The burger was grilled to perfection and the french fries were thick and seasoned well and the onion rings were tasty as well. The only issue I have with this burger joint is their prices. I have to say they are very pricey, and to add items on your burger there is a charge. For example if you want cheese on your burger that is an extra $ 0.69 charge. My meal was $ 14.75 and that was for the original burger with cheese added(5 ounces of meat), french fries, and a coke. If you are looking for a good burger in Maui Teddy’s is the place to go. If you are a Maui resident you get a small discount. The staff there was very friendly and approachable.

This is the place that one that can satisfy a real burger craving. During my 2nd pregnancy — I only craved hamburgers. It was my mission to find a perfect burger but also a decent burger on each side of the island. This one takes the crown for best and best in the west. If you’re a fan of the 5 Guys chain — this is a cut above with a little aloha to go with. My favorites: Lahaina Burger Makawao Burger Anything with their Onolicious sauce :) They offer Kamaaina rates upon request. If you’re in a hurry, call in your order and chow down beach side. We haven’t tried the shakes yet but hear they are delicious. Once you’ve had a 7 oz burger and fries to split, there isn’t much room for a PB Shake ;)

The staff at the Lahaina Teddy’s Bigger Burgers are always super friendly and my teri burger is always cooked to perfection. The only con is that it can get a little pricey depending how much add ons or what kind of combo you get. However, locals can get kamaaina discount when they show their HIID. Scrumptious meal at a reasonable price served with ALOHA, how could you ask for more?

A little pricier than your typical fast food burger joint, but the quality is MUCH better. My usual go-to burger is the Kailua — 5 oz burger with teriyaki sauce, grilled onions, swiss cheese, & mushrooms. Yum! Service is usually great & friendly, but once in a while the wait after ordering seems longer than it should be. I also get their malt shakes, but one time it was just a regular milkshake vs. a malt which is an additional charge. They sometimes offer a discount coupon in local newspapers like the Maui Time and always offer a kama’aina discount. What really won my heart & left a good impression on me the last time was when they asked if I wanted to donate my kama’aina discount to Trucker Dukes(a Maui toddler diagnosed with stage 4 neuroblastoma). This was such a great way to get involved in the community and help a family in need of support. Awesome promotion that definitely increases a company’s goodwill value!

Teddy’s is a nice change of pace while in Maui. When you’re hungry for a burger, this is where I’ve gone on my last two trips. You can order whatever size and type of burger you like and you can make it a combo if you prefer. You can also order your fries extra crispy(which I do) or you can have garlic fries. The burgers are cooked medium or you can order them more well done if you like. Service has always been very good. The restaurant is clean and inviting.

I’ve had this place bookmarked on Unilocal before coming to the island and after my Hawaiian Unilocal buddy, Joe P. recommended this place, I was convinced this was not to be missed. No better time to eat a big, fat, juicy burger than after a swim in the beach. We soooo earned it! Teddy’s is a local fast food joint that looks like a diner, Hawaiian style with colorful surf boards hanging on the walls. The guy behind the counter helped me through my ordering. I was being an annoying customer with too many questions that day… poor kid! It was his first day at work he said but he delivered like a pro. I was impressed. With his recommendations, here’s what we got: ORIGINALBURGER — A good ‘ol American burger with tomatoes, onions, lettuce and cheese. Perfectly cooked beef patty that was oozing with juicy flavors. Love the potato bread bun used in all their burgers. It has the starch sticking to the roof of your mouth effect — my weakness when eating a burger. So good and easily my fave out of everything I had here. I got the 7oz patty but I think a 5oz would have sufficed. It’s filling! LAHAINASTYLEBURGER — Sweet and spicy! This came with pineapple, bacon, swiss cheese, and jalapenos. I just had to get this, we were in Hawaii after all. Another great burger especially if you want some heat. Wonderful marriage of flavors from all the ingredients which I’m already a fan of individually. TERIBURGER — They make their own teriyaki sauce and the kid highly recommends it so I ordered this for my daughter with bacon, of course. The burger was missing bacon when served but they fixed that right away and brought it to our table in a jiffy. It was too one note for me in flavor but since bacon makes everything taste better, it worked out. GARLICFRIES — Thick-cut and crispy fries drizzled with garlic, lots of it! We killed this basket and could probably kill a vampire with our garlic breaths as well. Plan to share between 2 – 3 people as a side. A pineapple milkshake would’ve been an awesome pairing but my daughter insisted on a ROOTBEERFLOAT to go with her combo. There was so much to go around with one order. They fill a cup with vanilla ice cream and you can do unlimited root beer refills. Sweet! Best part: $ 30 for everything! Big fan!
