My husband and I absolutely love this place. Prices are great and the conveyor belt rolls are delicious. For dinner we love picking from the half price rolls. So many great options.

Came here with a friend (who is new to eating sushi), she claimed this place was good, but man was she wrong. First off when I received my sushi roll it was practically falling apart before I even attempted to pick it up. Then 2 rolls in to eating it I realized they did not properly clean the shrimp! The poop line was still in the shrimp! SOOO gross. When it comes to sushi just pay alittle more and go to ahi ahi up the street rather than this nasty place. (before discovering the poop the roll tasted oddly warm and that is just a no no when it comes to raw fish).

Considering the density of Sushi bars in Ca if you run one I would think it would be best to never get complacent. That’s my first thought of MY3. In this case I would consider Maki Yaki the equivalent to the local gin mill/​dive bar. Basically with enough alcohol you can pretty much put up with anything…
I’m actually more amazed at the reviews for this place than I am with my disappointment of the quality. Locals seem to love it… Everything is relative I guess so good for you if you love this place and I mean no offense… I will tell you in my experience of frequenting sushi places for over 30 years all over the country folks as well as visiting some really good local places is Lake Forest I would say — get out and try the others!
Mamason was pleasant and accommodating but the chefs behind her bar need work… The fish was good but in general the roles were poorly constructed by an individual that doesnt quite understand what the purpose of a bamboo wrap does… I don’t mind that your of Mexican decent (the norm in CA) but I do mind when you dont take the time to master you’re trade… I also have a problem when you order scallop sashimi and they can’t make it because of the micro scallops in the cooler they purchased (something that is generally not good in a place that serves raw fish).
I’m not coming back. Based on the reviews I’m sure I have made some folks mad — not my intention — I’m only giving my honest assessment of a place. I’m not looking for a high end suit and tie place when I go for fish but when I choose to spend my hard earned money I want it better than I can make at home…

I’ve been coming here since a friend showed it to me in high school and have been coming back every since. For starters, if you buy a drink you get 50% off the rolls and free soup or salad. The salad is simple but delicious, cabbage and a secret dressing. The sushi is fresh and made quickly to your order. I don’t like cucumbers and the owner remembers every time I come in. She always asks how I am and when I would come home from college I would make it a point to come have lunch or dinner at MY3. Now that I am graduated and working in Irvine I can no longer come for lunch but I try to have dinner here whenever I am craving sushi. Seriously the best sushi around and I love supporting the local business owners!

This is my regular place to go for sushi! The prices are great and the service is always exceptional! You can tell that the owner gets a lot of regulars, which is really nice to see. The cabbage salad you get before your meal is honestly my favorite part of my experience. I’ve been trying to recreate the dressing since the first time I had it. The location is great and has plenty of parking and the staff is always so nice!

Tried them out while in California. I like sushi and this was my first sushi resrurant. The sushi was really good and apparently we were there at a good time because it was half off. Portions were big and if you leave hungry it’s your fault

What a deal. Food was ultra fresh, soup on-​point, lunch including drinks was under $ 30. Happy happy I’ll be back!

Great sushi for the price. My wife and I go here all the time. Tar tar and crispy rice with spicy tuna are my go to choices. The service is great too.

Went to lunch to celebrate a coworkers birthday and was with a party of five. The overall service was ZERO. The waiter threw the forks at the table since we asked for forks and wouldn’t even come to our table to get our orders. When the food finally came after twenty minutes of waiting or more we received raw chicken (now I understand its a sushi place but what we order were teriyaki bowls). The meat was raw –red and white patches were seen all over the chicken. We informed the waiter and she did nothing to resolve the problem. Meat like chicken has to reach a certain temperature before its safe to eat. NO ONE DESERVES TO PAY AND RECEIVE RAW CHICKEN WHICH CAN LEAD TO FOOD POISONING! I don’t know how this place is still open

Awesome food and service! My family has been coming here for at least 10 years and everything’s always great! The family that owns this place is so nice also!

Seriously the best!!! I am definitely a fan of supporting small business owners, and let me tell you this place rocks, and wont disappoint! The owner is a doll!
I have been coming here for a couple years now and the owner knows me and my husband by name! My 6 and 7 year old sons even run up to her and hug her everytime we go!!!
Seriously where in the world can you go and be treated like family, eat wonderful food, and never pay over $ 40 for a family of 4?!

Amazing service, hot saki and amazing cheap sushi!

This place is awesome. My friend swore to me this would be one of the best sushi places in southern Orange County. He was right. Dinner time is the time to go. Specialty rolls for half price if you buy a drink, and they have really cheap beer. This place is seriously so good. The lady that works here, she is the only one I think, nicest lady ever.

This is a small, actually family owned sushi shop. If that’s what you’re looking for; you’ve found it!!!
I moved to this area roughly 3 years ago and have been to over a dozen places with picky kids.
No one has been better at an overall experience than here. My daughter loves the teriyaki chicken (not a sushi fan) and their boba.
My discerning son says, «We’re going to Maki? Yeah, good!»
They learned my preference, as well as my children’s.
A good place, with great people. Enjoy!

Not upset but the quality follows suit with the shady hotel across the street where I was parked for the night for work.
They were very friendly. Service was good.
Quality of the sushi and the rest is fair at best.

Beware. the wasabi is reused and the world famous salad is scooped with up no gloves on. My girlfriend and I were inside during a slow period and we watched as the waitress scooped up leftover wasabi with her bare hand and put it back in the wasabi bowl. This was after she had cleaned up other dirty plates and put them away. Absolutely unsanitary and nasty.
Also, my girlfriend and I watched as she got us salad with her bare hand. We did not eat the salad after that obviously.
Used to be my favorite hole in the wall sushi place. but will never go back. Imagine if she is doing that in front of the customers what goes on behind the scenes. No thank you.
