Ordered the parmesan crusted steak with pecan praline sweet potatoes. I was not at all impressed. The steak was a little salty, and the sweet potatoes were not sweet and the pecan praline made it chewy. The best thing about my meal was the second loaf of bread — it was warm and soft. Oh yeah, the first one was warm but a little too toasted. Not returning here for a while… a long while.

We walked in to get a bite to eat. There wasn’t a greeter and we had other people in front of us, we stood there for 5 mins as employees walked by! They never said a word! We asked for the manager and he walked over and got on the computer. He never apologized or acknowledged us or the people in front of us. This was at 2:30pm. We decided to take our business to Friday’s next door. Considering our last experience here, this was extremely disappointing! The manager that was on duty the last time(he had a beard) wasn’t on duty.

This was terrible. First we waited like 15 minutes even though there were a bunch of open tables. Then we wait a while for the server to eben come introduce herself. So we order and then like 30, 45 minutes later the manager comes and says that something happened and our order never went into the kitchen. So we had to wait over 30 more minutes for our food. Not only that but we had to repeatedly ask out server for simple things like napkins, forgotten croutons, extra butter and sugar. Terrible service. And some of our food didn’t come out hot. Don’t go there.

Terrible service — it took almost 15 minutes before the waitress asked if I wanted water. By the time my food got there, it was cold and not cooked all the way. The pork chops tasted like rubber and we’re not cooked all the way. The cream of spinach(also not fully cooked all the way) and broccoli cheddar soup was cold and nasty. The bread was good, but cold as well by the time I got my food. I will not be back to this restaurant and warn anyone of coming to this establishment if you want«good» food.

Okay so I’m at the Longhorn in Largo, MD. And usually I have a great dinner. But tonight my sweet potato was under cooked and the pork chops according to my son tasted like they made it for old people. Super soft with no seasoning no taste. I was very disappointed.

Regular chain restaurant nothing special nothing fancy but good. More importantly the service was good and it was fast.

I am so disappointed in this place. I understand that it takes awhile for steak to cook BUT I am sorry.50 minutes for a steak is ridiculous. Then when you bring me my food it’s COLD. I am so upset because I could have went to another place but I wanted a decent steak. The Manager comes out and I explain I am not paying for cold food. I asked him to PLEASE touch my husbands mac and cheese and he said I believe you. What a waste…

The best steak I’ve ever had and my husband agrees. 5 stars. It was outstanding!!! From the service to the steak itself, best experience ever. Glad the other reviews didn’t stop me from coming. 5 stars!!! Our appetizers and desert was outstanding!!!

Been to other Longhorns in the past. Usually it’s a pretty good experience. Not this time. I swear it is something about this county that ruins all the decent chain places. Seriously. Sat at the table, host tries to grab a dirty appetizer plate off the stack before we noticed. I noticed. My glass was filthy on the outside. It had some sort of goop all over it. Two dirty dishes makes me wonder what else was dirty that I didn’t see. The server was very inattentive. When we were sat we were one of two tables. At one point we waited ten minutes for a refill on a soda. That is one of our biggest pet peeves. She sat explaining the menu to some idiots who apparently have never been to a steakhouse before for five minutes and then came over without our soda. The excuse was that the fountain machine was messed up and they needed to fix it. Instead of coming over and telling her customers the situation she had us just sit there and wonder. Steak was pretty good. Baked potato was inedible. It was undercooked and no amount of butter could have made it better. The side salad I got had several pieces of gross lettuce that I had to pick out. Also, we never got bread. That is one of the best things about these types of places. As we left I saw all the other tables had bread. I said something to the manager about the issues but he really didn’t seem like he cared. I spent $ 60 for lunch for two people and expected a little better than what we received. I won’t be back.

Inconsistent in terms of service. Today, I waited 10 minutes for a water, and I was sitting at the bar. I ordered the chicken caesar salad. Too much dressing. The chicken was decent. Croutons were about what you expect. The salad is pretty big and at $ 9, you don’t feel that you’re not getting your money’s worth. On another trip, I got the BBQ chicken sandwich with fries. Fries were salty, but much better when you eat in the restaurant instead of take out. The sandwich was pretty good. Grilled chicken was juicy and a good size. Cheese, bacon and BBQ sauce did the job. Expect to get a typical franchise experience. Service not great though.

I was staying overnight in Largo, MD for work and this place came up on searches nearest to our hotel. We arrived about 45min before closing. Entering the restaurant it looked nice, though dark. There were two or three large parties, the bar area was full, and so was the front section. So not empty, but the main floor was pretty much empty as they would be closing soon, plus it was a Wednesday night. We stood at the front for nearly 10min as we tried to get someone’s, anyone’s attention to seat us. We asked the bartender if he could get someone to seat us and he said we’d have to wait till someone came. Finally a worker saw us who was sitting there, she was off duty and had been eating with a friend, and helped us out. Though nice, I was already upset with the service before we even got to sit down. We got the shrimp & crab artichoke appetizer, a entrée salad for my friend, and I got Raspberry Vingarette Chicken from the 575cal and under Lite menu. The appetizer tasted like it was made with rotten seafood but because there’s so much other cheese, sauce, and other what I felt was a sludge-like consistency that they just mixed it all up and maybe you wouldn’t taste it. I tried it a few times but no, it really just tasted like something was rotten in it and I feel like it had to be the fish. My friend didn’t smell or taste anything off about it so I chalked it up to me just really really not liking it. The picture looked very different to me too. You couldn’t tell shrimp from crab bits. It’s all just one big glob of stuff with panko on top. I suggest a hearty PASS. My entrée though well cooked and good was INSANELYSMALL. For $ 13 the amount of chicken is downright shameful. The description my menu felt misleading as it said«breasts» so I figured two of normal chicken breast size. This was seriously one large chicken breast cut up into three pieces. I had a sweet potato without the butter and sugar as a side but my menu didn’t tell me the entrée came with broccoli as a side already. Had I known I wouldn’t have got the extra or different side. There’s no way that sniveling amount of food was 500 calories(minus the sweet potato I added), and while yes it was definitely under 575 as advertised it’s also a ridiculous price gouge. I did complain about this to my waiter and he said that’s how it’s supposed to look. I went online to see a promo picture and yes it did look similar, though mine did not have the cheese that was supposed to be on it and that’s also when I saw it came already with a side of veggies. So in short, I won’t go here again. Waste of money and my time. The staff at this location did a poor job, though our waiter was fine, but overall only 1 out of 3 staff interactions were positive. In terms of the LongHorn brand total, I won’t go back to any of them. I really just am pissed about that entrée and the bad tasting appetizer. The menu description did not match that which is online and the price for it is outrageous for what you’re getting.

I’ve been to Longhorn a few times, mainly for dinner with friends. I have recently started hitting up restaurants I love during the lunch hour to get the same food i love for a fraction of the price. It was really slow, practically empty but that is what i loved most it. lunch time is the best time

This restaurant is OK. Nothing special. I do enjoy getting food to-go, but service is bad during the weekends due to being so close to the movie theater and metro stop.

I’m gonna give the place a four. Service a lil slow. Well that’s because there was only 3 servers during the lunch rush. The white peach tea was BOMB I had the filet and lobster tail. The lobster tail however was over cooked. But the key lime pie mad up for it. All in all it was a great lunch.

Do you have any idea how hard a business has to work in order to get just one star from me? I can think of dumpsters in the alley that I’d give two stars on a given day, but I guess that when a team works together anything is possible. My friend and I got there at 7:45 and were quoted a 25 minute wait. 45 minutes later I noticed people being seated who came in after us. The hostess had no record of us and didn’t remember us, but the little pager/buzzer served as «proof» that we must have spoken to her at some point. From that point it became a game of «How Hungry Are You?» Seated at 8:30, but we didn’t get our appetizer til 9:30. Our waiter was so busy that he must have hired an intern whose sole job was to come by and say, «He didn’t forget about you. He’s coming.» If not for the fact that my friend and I were catching up, we would’ve just left. Every 5 – 10 minutes we’d just make another educated guess: «They have a glacier in the back that they’re melting with a candle to get our water.» «Don’t you hear that mooing? They’re wrangling the cow right now to make the steak.» The shrimp appetizer was good. I imagine they caught each one by hand since it took an hour. My T-Bone on the other hand… I’m from that fancy part of Southeast where Medium means pink in the middle. I recognize that waaaay on the outskirts of PG County, Medium might mean Well Done. Not just well done, but«Bravo! Gold Star Well Done.» The waiter asked if everything was to our liking. My friend enjoyed her salmon so much that she asked for A-1 sauce, ketchup, or anything else they had to help her pretend it had taste. I wanted to send my steak back, but I was so hungry at that point that I would’ve eaten the cushions off the booth. I could’ve asked for the manager, but who knows how long it would’ve taken for them to build one from clay and have God breathe life into it. We just decided to leave and never to return or speak of it again. Big props to the waiter though. As busy as he was, he kept a smile and seemed apologetic.

I’m a fan of longhorn, because it’s the one franchise restaurant where food quality and taste remain the same across the board — delicious. However, this specific location is somewhere I’ll avoid and here’s why — LACKINCUSTOMERSERVICE! Yes, I went on a Friday night and expected the quote of «45 minute wait»(I used to be a hostess, I get it) but the waitresses were huddled at the hostess station gossiping all night. There were a bunch of parties in the waiting area just as annoyed as I was, and when I went to the bathroom, I noticed a large number of tables open! So maybe they were short staffed? Fine. We get buzzed and seated, by a window that let in all 20 degrees of cold outside! So we asked to move and was told we had to ask the hostess. REALLY? Thankfully the MANAGER walked by and he changed our seat with no hesitation. Still, it was freezing. So, I’m guessing the heat was on low. Food was great(as usual) and our waitress(Morgan) was also great. But, that first impression was horrible. I’ll stick to the Arundel Mills location.

The bartender looks and acts more like a bouncer than a bartender but once he lightens up he’s OK. The food is always consistently good especially the wild west shrimp which is the main reason I come here. Keep up the good work and maybe you’ll put the BLVD back on the map in a positive way!

Alright, Alright, Alright! Finally a Longhorn a little closer to home. I usually go to the one in Bowie but this is almost right around the corner from me. We went on a weekday night for dinner the first week it opened and I just hope that the service remains on par. It was great! The hostess pleasantly greeted us and sat us in a booth. Our waiter came right over and was very attentive the entire time. We ordered a little of everything from the shrimp and chicken wraps for appetizer that were really good, steak, hamburger and fries. Everything was good except for one little thing and that was they over cooked my steak. I ordered medium well and they cooked it well done. Now while this is sometimes excusable for places that are not a steakhouse this was unacceptable to me for Longhorn especially since I have been super spoiled by the one in Bowie by NEVER being served a meal I wasn’t happy with HOWEVER even though I was disappointed I decided to box it up and take it home. Also the manager stopped by to check on us and I expressed my disappointment about my steak and she was happy to have them cook me another but I was so tired from a long day that I just decided not to except it this time. I think it’s important to point out that she was extremely apologetic and nice about the situation. It was there first week open so I cut them some slack especially since the customer service was so good. Yes, I will be returning and looking forward to many good plates and happy hours!

This place is the new steakhouse on the block, and the first thing that locals need to know is that it will make them forget that Bugaboo Creek Steakhouse and its animatronic moose ever occupied this space. It is a real steakhouse with marble and wood and good tasting food — the sirloin was perfectly medium rare and lightly seasoned, the brussel sprouts tasted great and the lobster-stuff shrimp was inventive. Now for the bad part — 48 minutes for a medium rare sirloin is a long time to wait. I started fantasizing about other meals that I could have eaten while waiting for this one to be prepared. The food was good when it came, but it started to get frustrating — maybe I was having a bad reaction to the country music. At any rate, it was a decent steak and the friendly service helped, but that wait makes it hard to give more than three stars. At the very least, it’s a grownup steakhouse and worth a return visit.
