Applebee’s

After I had the Ceaser Chicken salad, I had to be taken to the ER for food poisoning… Don’t think I will ever be back.

I have to say that I am terrible sad about this particular location. I have been going to this location for years and it was always acceptable for an Applebee’s but recently it has taken a turn for the worst. The last time we went there is what prompted this review. We were sat down and our server was busy answering questions that she was not really sure the answer to so naturally it took her a while to greet us. This would have been no problem if a manager had not walked by our table a few times and never offered to at least get us drinks for her.
Our server was kind and did her best to take care of our needs and I would have to say the overall service was acceptable. The menus, however, were dirty and instead of new menus they had ones that were bent and had stickers over items that were not carried anymore. I work in the business and know that it is not hard to get new menus from corporate and it looks as though they have made no attempt to do so in a while. The menu is the first thing a guest sees when they sit at the table so it is important that they have one that is not dirty and bent.
The food was pretty decent although I would not recommend venturing too far out of anything fried. Their vegetables do not seem very fresh and are tossed in so much fatty butter that they are not really worth it. I had the fish and chips and it seemed fresh to me but was not what I remember.
Towards the end of our dinner I noticed that many large spiders had congregated outside the window where we were sitting. This may just be me getting a bit picky but that was the last thing I really wanted to look at outside the window as I ate. It seems management has changed or something because this location is far from the level it used to operate at. If you really need your Applebee’s fix then I recommend the other location in town.

I always wonder why I come back once a year. Food is just frozen food quality and service is barely existant. Nice server but if you don’t see her between ordering and check, does it count?

Been here plenty of times and have to say this is one well managed Applebees. Food is always freshly prepared and delish and the service rocks. I suspect the poor reviews are from competitors? Or perhaps fired ex employees. Ok, I Get it, they are a chain but have always enjoyed their food.

Food is good and hot. The attentiveness of the servers is spotty at best. Sometimes they are good and other times (maybe half) you won’t see your server until it’s time to pay the bill.

I like their food just not at this particular location. The only reason I came to this one is because I thought it was better but it was worse and the thing I ordered they were completely out of! Seriously?! Why let me order it if you don’t have it. Terrible!

Ordered the curbside to go and the food was so salty I couldn’t eat it. Ugh. Small portions for $ 15.

It’s been a few years since I last wandered into an Applebee’s for reasons that most other discerning diners are already aware of, so I won’t go too deep into an explanation for my boycott. However, my daughter wanted to go there (only because there wasn’t a nearby Olive Garden, but that’s a review for another time…) so I obliged. Since I feel I should try to say something nice, let me say that her bacon cheddar burger looked edible. I should have gotten one of those myself. Instead, I ordered the «riblet platter» with some sort of asian sweet/​sour glaze and it was the absolute worst meat-​flavored substance I can remember. I’m sure that was the last time I’ll ever venture into the McDonalds of casual dining.
