The phở was really good! Our kids ages 8&5 both loved the shrimp phở and my husband I both got the chicken phở which was great. There was too much food for the kids but we were able to get some to go containers. Would definitely recommend.

I really like this place! I would have given them a 5 star rating, but there was a wait. But it was worth it and I can see why there was a wait!(I would suggest going when you have more timeI wish i could have dined in.)The food is delicious! The people there are nice and very accommodating!!! The phở and bahn mi, are TODIEFOR!!! I’ve been twice this week! I think I’m going again tonight!!!

Food was good, service was excellent and fast. Recommend for people not wanting to drive all the way down to pleasant hill. Will come back again definitely!

Went here for the first time on a cold, rainy day with boyfriend as we were craving phở but didn’t want to drive down to Pleasant Hill or Buford Hwy. There was maybe 1 other table there at noon on a Sunday; which was fine, our appetizer of shrimp spring roll came out very quickly. I ordered P11 phở(brisket and flank) as a lot of other phở choices were highlighted as ‘raw’. I’m not super experienced with phở, but I haven’t seen ‘raw’ options like that before. Different. Boyfriend ordered pork rice vermicelli which was very good. Both came with decent portions of meat. We ordered 2 pork BBQ bahn mi sandwiches to go before the check. That part took a bit longer than expected, about 20 minutes after the order before we got our check, when they could have been having us pay as we waited for the sandwiches, but it was okay. Nice service, very clean and minimalist establishment. Will definitely be going back as we live within walking distance and it’s nice to have a good place that isn’t all the way down 85.

Really good Phở, enjoyed everything! Will be back. Had the charbroiled pork and the chicken soup both were great.

All in all, Phở 89 has good quick food, an excellent service! I went here before and it was alright but I told them some tips and I have seen that they’ve taken my advice. The food is way better than before and definitely worth a try. If you’ve eaten here before you should give it another chance plus the manager named Jackson is so hot omg

Super speedy service and delicious food! I ordered the veggie spring rolls which come with a peanut dipping sauce, and the seafood Phở with beef broth. Both were great. Staff was friendly, too!

The people are friendly but they need to get a new cook or something cuz I am here right now and I’ve been here for about maybe 30 minutes already waiting on my food. There are literally 3 people in this restaurant and 2 of them are at one table and I’m the 3rd person. I am really confused. I ordered 3 very simple rice plates… 2 plates with just plain rice & porkchop. And the other plate is rice porkchop, and shredded pork. It was very simple, it’s not like I ordered the rice plates with everything on it. But even if I did, it still shouldn’t have taken that long. What are they doing? Killing the pig back there? What in the world would they do if this place was actually busy? I came here because it’s next to my house. And I was in a rush, just got back in town from work and hadn’t sleep, that’s why I ordered out, instead of eating in, but I should’ve eaten in anyway because it took about the same time as if I did. At phở dai Loi3, I would be out the door in less than 10 mins guaranteed every time I go there. I won’t be back here, I’d rather drive further to phở dai Loi, and will probably get home sooner than going to phở 89. But thank you to the nice guy that took my order, he gave me a water probably because he knew that I would wait 10 years for my food!!! I am growing wrinkles sittin here yall. Phở restaurants are supposed to face paced, in and out. Not like this place. Oh look my foods ready, it only took him another full 5 minutes to pack it… Yes I wrote this entire review, proofread, and finalized it during my wait. Lol, never again. The first star is for the restaurant. The second star is for the nice guy.

This classical Vietnamese restaurant offers a very bad first impression. I was seated by a girl that looked no older than 15. Later on, my servers were by young boys, who seemed unprofessional and willing to work only for two reasons: either for money, or because they had to. In other words, the service was ran by amateurs and was very unprofessional. I presume that it is a family business. The food however was authentic and quit good. I ordered a popular Vietnamese dish(the«Phở») and had a great pleasure in finishing it.

Foods was ok but the service was really slow. Got my entrees first and appetizer last for my meal. This place really need a manager and retrain they server.

30% off applies to Tuesday and Wednesday only folks… just FYI. Took the niece and nephew out for some PHO and lo and behold, a Phở 89 around the corner from the house. BOOM. I’ve been in the ATL for about 15 years and I’ve never step foot inside a Vietnamese place that has a 2 digit number following PHO… NEVER. and now I know my intuition was right. The interior is pretty typical of any Vietnamese restaurant… lots of Lucky bamboos and an alter of some sort with bananas as the offering. Nothing fancy, which is fine for PHO, you come in, you eat, you pay and you leave. It’s not made to hang out… Well, they have a couple of TVs mounted in each corner and all 3 were on a different channel. The one next to us happened to be showing a pretty gory movie… with lots of slashing and blood gushing out… it isn’t the most appealing thing to see while slurping a bowl of soup — at least not to me. Although I didn’t order PHO, but it still made my stomach churn, so I had to avoid watching it. We ordered Phở Ga, Phở Meatballs, Banh Mi Chicken and Com Dac Biet(Rice Place special)… my niece is 15 and food is the last thing she ever thinks about. She doesn’t care what she eats or if she she eats. So for her to say… the PHO tastes bland and keep adding hoisin sauce and sriracha… that’s telling me more than enough without even tasting it myself. It was either watered down or not enough seasoning… it didn’t have the Phở aroma or did it taste like it. My banh mi ga tasted weird. The chicken has a slimy taste and there were hardly any vegetables in it. It was very disappointing. The rice plate was ok… it’s not the worse of the worse but I definitely didn’t box it to go. The service was ok. they did come by a few times to ask if we were ok and needed anything else. I appreciate that. But they have to do better with their food or they’re not going to make it. You can’t short cut phở or be cheap about it. Make it right. If you need me to come in and season it for you, contact me.

I never come back to this place again. Have been here a few times. Trying to support new restaurants but seem like they don’t get any better.

This place has false advertisement. On their menu they stated meatball is served with their special phở but when they bring it out it has no meatball. Overall their phở is ok but I had better. The only reason why it draw my attention was the $ 5 special grand opening. Other than that don’t waste your time because the customer service is terrible.

Their level of incompetence is astounding. The servers are slow, and have no idea how to wait tables. The mediocre food will not support a long honeymoon before the marriage fails…

The phở here is average. Customer service is horrible. Thier grand opening for half off phở is the only bonus. They don’t add meatballs in the combination phở even though the menu clearly says it.

They have a 100 on their health inspection. Impressive. The inside also has a nice décor going on for a phở restaurant, but food was mediocre. As a Vietnamese person, I have experienced better food elsewhere. I came here with my family for Father’s Day. It was pretty steady, but tables did fill up quickly. We tried the com bo luc lac, c1(com sac biet), phở dac biet, & bun bo hue. All were okay, but definitely not worth my money. The flavors of all our meals could of been a lot better. It is a family run business after all. ATM they have half off anything that has broth in it until July 4th. If you are in the area, might as well try it out.
