Gusto is my go-to coffee shop prior to a long night of adjuncting classes at nearby Longview Community College. It is a great option for all sorts of coffee, quick food options, or just a regular cup of joe. Their brewed coffee options include a rotating favorite, Guatemala, and decaf. The Guatemala rivals any other good, strong coffee brewed around the city. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Setting is always chill and inviting. Gusto also offers local music in the evenings and weekends. They post their monthly schedule of music and events. It’s a hidden gem that is largely unknown outside of the Lee’s Summit community. Come down and have a drink, nosh, or listen at a great locally owned shop.

Very nice little coffee shop located right by the college. The couple that owns it are really nice very friendly very welcoming. The prices are prices are fair and the quality is top-notch. Well designed interior plus outside seating.

Really pleased with the quality of the coffee and the atmosphere was super chill. From the looks of the chalk board there is lots of live music. My wife is super picky about her coffee and she was impressed too. Living a half a block away, I’ll definitely be returning and I’ll recommend anyone who comes by to hit it up too.

Drinks are just o.k. for me. They don’t have the biggest tea selection in KC, but it is a quiet and cozy place to grind out some work and hussle!

The staff is very friendly here. I always get an americano and it’s great. My husband usually gets a specialty drink, their peanut butter mocha is delicious, as is their gusto signature. We’ve only been here a few times, as we are new to the area, and noticed that they have events almost every day. We haven’t went to any yet but it’s an added bonus. I saw they even have a wine, cheese & chocolate night! We’ll be coming back for that!

Fun place in a weird little part of town. My dessert was fantastic, and the coffee was exactly what I expected it to be. There are a ton of coffee spots going in around the area, but this one felt like a winner. No snobs. No pretentious baristas. Solid food and drink options. Way to not suck, Gusto!

This place once had decent espresso, but never had good regular brewed coffee. Something about the water in the brew has a chlorine aftertaste. The new owners remodeled everything and took out some good booths. I had no problem with the new décor, but the booths were great for local people who wanted to work and or study. After all, this is near a junior college. Later, they added live music, and that could be great during Friday and Saturday evening hours, but Wednesday afternoon??? it was too much for a someone who wanted to read in a once quiet place. This coffee shop is ideal for the over fifty crowd.

Great place with a super awesome one year anniversary celebration. I had a house blend coffee that was very nice and a piece of super moist cake. The place was very clean and well organized. I enjoyed their patio very much on a great spring day.

Gusto’s is a great place for coffee. While not so trendy as a Starbucks, I believe the coffee is better(actually better prepared) and the cost is much more affordable. The atmosphere is very relaxed and appears to be preferred by students from nearby Longview College. Service is friendly, and prompt. Their«snacks» are well priced and tasty. Free WiFi is available, as is outdoor seating. Senior discounts are available.

Gusto’s coffee is to die for, and there are a ton of fog tea lattes that I’m dying to try, not to mention they have great food! Great atmosphere and staff, too. Will drink this coffee over Starbucks or Panera any day. I’m in love with the Apple Turnover blend! Lots of events and live music held here. Check it out!

Went here today for the first time for some coffee and had an amazing experience! The owner was extremely friendly and she actually lived in the northwest at one point in her life. The Pacific Northwest is sort of the capital of coffee for America so she gained instant credibility with me. She said that her and her husband have traveled all over the world and I believe this has helped them pick the best ingredients for their coffee. They have the best chocolate syrups you can buy. I can’t wait to try their food! So glad we found this place!

Gusto is under new ownership and it shows. The coffee is back up to good standards and has amazing flavor. Some of the old drink choices from previous owners have survived as well as a few new additions. The frozen yogurt option is gone. Not that I’m complaining. Gusto is also proud to be the local Longview provider of Christopher Elbow chocolates! Give the revived Gusto another chance.

I have been several times. The service is fine. However the brewed coffee is really bad. Every time some is wrong. Either they are out, or its luke warm low. With no labels on what your choices are. I always just get a brewed one, simple, one would think. If you are serving a flavored coffee, you need to let me know. I did not want a hazelnut flavored coffee, this is all they were offering besides«why bother decaf.» It was horrible… why not just do a really good plain coffee? a no for me.

Gusto is still the same cozy, quiet place that JP’s used to be. Located near Longview, Gusto has the same menu, the same comfy chairs and tables, and the same relaxed atmosphere with just one major change: they now offer self-serve fro-yo. There are 4 flavor options available; the levers daintly tucked into the back wall. I ordered a small gingerbread latte which turned out to be delicious. Just as a heads-up to others: she didn’t ask what kind of milk I wanted and she assumed I wanted whipped cream on my drink. Neither of these things were a big deal to me because I’ll drink anything, but it might be a concern to others. No matter the name, this place is still great.
