I have eaten here before and declared it to be the worst taco place in the valley. My friends all swear I couldn’t be talking about this restaurant because it was so good. When I described my meal as something you would get in a college cafeteria, they said I must have hit it on an off day. Well today I tried it again and my original impression was correct. Worst taco place in the valley. I am considering new friends :)

Out of all the burrito joints in the valley this one is the worst. I’ve been here about 3 times but my recent trip will be the last time I ever eat here. From the dirty feel,(and actual dirt) to unkempt restrooms and the woman in the back that seemed more interested in washing dishes than helping customers it was a horrible experience. The food quality was edible but low. The kid struggling to make food and work the register was trying hard but overall management is extremely lacking. I can’t imagine this place will last long. There are many other quality places to grab some grub at the Promenade. Avoid this place.

Worst $ 30 I have ever spent. They had a deal with the movie theater with your ticket stubs, I wish we passed on that. They screwed up when they rang up the order. After having that fixed, the soda & iced tea machines weren’t working right. Really pricey for cold, not tasty food. Would never go there again.

The Green Pepper is close to my work and is a good place for us to grab a quick lunch. The food is alright, a little better than fast food, but still not the best. I recommend the burrito bowls, kids meals, or salads over a burrito — they tend to be a little soggy. The Green Pepper does allow you to order online. My order was mixed up once, but the staff was very friendly and ended up accidentally doubling our order, and still let us keep all of it. The portions are large and each meal comes with free chips and salsa. You get what you pay for and there are usually coupons available online, so look out for those!

I thought the food was pretty good. Service was friendly and there is a reward program, which is nice to have. I like how you can order at a kiosk. LOVE that you can also order online, so it’s ready as soon as you get there.

cutest name, grossest food/place. everything is covered in grease and the case of «fresh» tortilla chips looks like it hasn’t been cleaned since 1996.

Highly disappointing. The meat was cold, the food was bland, and everything was overpriced. Do yourself a favor and go to Cali Burrito, or even Taco Bell, instead. We will not be back.

Awful. Absolutely awful. Bland food. The chicken looked like canned cat food. Way overpriced. The check out girl was very nice. That is the only reason I am giving this place a star.

Ugh. The food was terrible. Only reason it got 2 stars instead of 1 is because it was ready quickly. No wonder the place was so empty at noon. Skip it entirely.

When this place first opened it was amazing. We ate there every single weekend. Fast forward to now… I will never eat here again. Big disappointment. I had high hopes for this place since we love this type of food. The food is absolutely disgusting now. The place is incredibly dirty. The staff is less than friendly. It’s like a bunch of twenty somethings run the place and just don’t care anymore. They changed the chicken tinga recipe and blue or just taste like crap. We gave it three tries after the food starting changing but we will definitely not be back. Fix the food and fix the staff. Oh and clean the restaurant.

The whole restaurant is pretty gross, I had to go to men’s bathroom for soap and towels(women’s had no paper) and wash off a table since they were all dirty. Food is subpar at best. Save yourself and go to Chipotle

Why and how is this place still open!!! I have had a burrito from this place, and I was less than pleased. I’ve had tacos from this place and was far from impressed. Now today I had nachos supreme from this place, and I was so totally disgusted that I couldn’t even finish it. The shredded beef lacked seasoning and any flavor. The pico de gallo was also flavorless. How the hell can you mess up pico de gallo?! The guacamole was just plain gross, and please don’t even get me started on the so called«cheese» sauce. I don’t know what the heck that was, but it definitely was NOT cheese. First of all the color was a translucent yellow. Translucent!!! Since when is cheese translucent!!! No, I don’t think you understand. Let me explain its translucency. The«cheese» was poured on top of the sour cream and guacamole, and yet I could actually see the sour cream and guacamole THROUGH the«cheese»!!! THROUGHTHE«CHEESE»!!! And it had the consistency and look of snot. SNOT!!! Moreover, it had a sort of metallic taste. Completely gross. I forced myself to swallow a few bites of this putrid fare. After all, I did pay the highway robbery price of $ 11.50 for it. But after that, I couldn’t stomach it anymore and had to throw it out. That’s it! Three strikes and I’m NEVER eating at this place again.

Outrageously expensive. I took the kids here for dinner before a movie and it cost $ 30 for two burritos and two tacos! Totally outside of the value for this kind of food. Now for the food: the quality was poor. I’ve eaten Mexican food all over the United States & in Mexico as well. The food here was poor I comparison. I would not recommend this restaurant.

This place is a mixed bag. Depending on what you get you might get something decent. However one thing I have noticed, the quality has gone down over the years. The first few times I came here when they first opened up, the food was decent. Nothing special but decent considering its one of the cheapest dinner spots in the Promenade. I came here yesterday to try something new. Well, I definitely had a new food experience for sure. I ordered the pork salad. They should change the menu name to pork with a few pieces of salad. Don’t get me wrong, I love when places overload my dish with meat but I don’t like it when the whole meal gets greasy because of it. I thought I was being somewhat healthy by ordering the salad, but I guess not. Not sure if I will come back. A $ 9 subpar salad if you call it that, is disappointing. Across the street at Red Robin a side salad had more greens than Green Peppers salad. Oh well, the search for good Mexican food continues in the Lehigh Valley area.

Thanksgiving in the Lehigh Valley went much better for me this year. There was no tension with my lady’s family from seeing a movie in Bethlehem like last year. Lugging the Christmas tree ornaments down from the attic took less time. Heck, I even enjoyed my girlfriend’s family’s favorite Thanksgiving weekend restaurant a bit more. On my first visit to The Green Pepper last year, I was less than impressed. While it was awesome to eat here on Small Business Saturday, the vegetarian make-your-own burrito I got was pretty tasteless. But this year, I discovered where they hide all of the flavor. In the tofu chunks. My lady, being the smart one, let me in on this secret. The tofu bites packed a delicious, almost barbeque meaty, flavor. I found the burrito much better in these bites at least. I still didn’t find the burrito overwhelmingly good but the chips and salsa provided with every burrito were quite nice. The salsa was just spicy enough to enjoy on them. One tip I can offer is that the burrito bowl comes with a whole bag of chips whereas the burrito proper just comes with enough to supplement the space the burrito takes up on the plate. Hopefully, next year on the third time this place will have improved even more. The service still left a little to be desired as far as speed. The price point is maybe a dollar too high(though the convenience of picking your own ingredients on a touch pad is worth the extra money I guess). And while I wouldn’t go out of my way to recommend this as a must see in the Lehigh Valley, it’s definitely a nice food place to stop at in the outdoor mall it’s in after a day of Christmas shopping. Especially for vegetarians in the area.

Got two chicken burritos and quesodillo to go. It easy to order. The wait wasn’t long. It is EXPENSIVE. $ 30 for what we ordered. The burritos were not good. They were dry and tasteless and my husband’s burrito had something fibrous and nasty in it. Grossed out. Too many chips. We won’t go back. Do not recommend this place at all.

I’m shocked at the reviews I’m seeing. Especially after eating there tonight. I had the El Dorado, vegetarian burrito and I thought it was great. The only thing was… it was kind of oily and the oil started dripping out at some point. It was completely deserted when we got there and it was like 6:30ish… which should probably be somewhat busy for dinner? We were the only ones there. Again, not sure what everyone’s complaining about. The ladies behind the counter were very cheerful. The self-service ordering thing wasn’t great… To modify one of the burritos the girl behind the counter said she’d just manually make the change. Basically, I wanted real cheese instead of vegan cheese on my burrito. All burritos come with chips and salsa. The other thing here is a variety of hot sauces. Actually, nothing great here. It’s a nice idea, but the sauces were all pretty similar.

first the bad: parking sucks. now the good — 2 different vegan burritos that were awesome. and the vegan nachos — delicious. I have yet to find another«Mexican» place that uses imitation ground beef and cheese as an option. I found the touch screens simple to use with the caveat that you didn’t know how the choices you made on one page impacted the options on the next(if you’re making your own). The salsa may need a revamp but otherwise I wish this was located on a route I frequent. Plus the service was awesome! the girls behind the counter were super nice and outgoing.
