I’m somewhat surprised this place is below 3 stars on here. I think given the location and the expectations one would have walking in, this is a solid 3 star tavern. It’s got decent bar food — nothing that’s going to blow your socks off, but a solid selection of traditional American fare. I had a burger, and my wife had chicken strips. We started off with fried pickles and jalapenos. All the food was, as I said, decent. Negative marks for the chicken as a few pieces weren’t trimmed properly. Positive marks for the appetizer — maybe the hottest fried jalapenos I’ve ever had — thick cut, fresh peppers. Beer selection is pretty good. It’s got the usual suspects — your big chain beers and the more popular Texas brews. Service was fine, nothing to complain about. I enjoyed the live band, and it’s a great view of the wakeboard park. I would definitely go back for a chill night out.

I should have taken note of the previous reviews. Service was EXTREMELYSLOW and it was not busy. Food…all of our sandwiches were soggy as it appeared they had been sitting for quite a while before delivered to our table. Mine was so soggy the bread was sticking to the paper in the basket. Ok…so it is bar food. I get it. BUT it can be decent bar food. Had to chase the sever down every time we needed something because a courteous stop by the table to check on things seems to be out of the question. After sitting with no refills on our drinks for over 25 minutes, we finally asked for our check. We were a party of 5. Three on one check and 2 of us on the other. It took three times to get the checks corrected then we realized an iced tea had been left off. At this junction, we were over it!!! Heed the other reviews ANDAVOIDTHISPLACE. GOTOMCDONALDSFIRST!!!

Busy night… Server was good when he could get to us. The customers were something else. 2 tables got into a crazy fight– #1 got mad at #2 for loudly cussing; the guy cussing screamed at #1 about 2nd hand smoke… It was entertaining at the very least. Food was ok.

This place is cool. We were looking for a good casual sports bars around our area and a Unilocal search came up with this gem. They had a good array of drafts and bottle craft beers so I was content. The waitress let use our Unilocal check in coupon for chips and queso to upgrade to fully dressed out nachos. I like that. I had the burger ordered medium rare(can’t stand burgers well done, they lose all their taste) and my wife had the Cobb Salad. Both were really good as were the nachos. They have a couple lagoons there(Hydrous Wake Park) with all the mechanics to do trick water boarding. We ended up spending a long time watching folks do the water boarding which you can see from the outdoor eating area. Some of theses guys and gals are really good and my oldest wants to do the summer camp there. Bottom line; good food, good beer selection(they have PBR on tap!!!), and good ambiance. We’ll be back. Also, there’s a really good park/play area next door which the boys enjoyed, and they’re paving some trails there as well.

restaurant not ready yet but has a lot of potential. Saturday music was way to loud to socialize, waitress had a hard time taking orders. Men waiters looked like they haven’t done their laundry in months. so they need to work on cleaner uniforms. Appetizers were extremely greasy. Waitress was pretty attentive which was nice. Manger just needs to pay more attention to details at restaurant. Ill try it again in a couple of months. Best part was patio but it was a little cold and no one offered heaters so left pretty early.

I’ve been twice in the last couple of weeks. The first time, 4÷18÷2016, was not great food-wise, but sitting outside and watching the wake-boarders was pretty cool. We had the fried jalapenos and pickles as an appetizer. They were delicious! I had the Big Nasty; it’s a giant chili dog. Apparently, cooking this hot dog was too much of a challenge for the kitchen, as it came out burned on one end and raw on the other. There was also very little chili on it. The other food, wings, chicken tenders, etc. were OK. The staff was pretty good. The second time we went, 4÷23÷2016, was pretty awful. Again the main problem is the kitchen. The kitchen seems to crumble under the slightest pressure as the place was not even 1⁄3 full. Again we had the fried jalapenos and pickles, but this time they were under-cooked and there was not nearly as much on the plate. My wife and I both ordered a burger while the kids had a wings and mac-n-cheese. The kids food showed up after a little while, but no burgers. After a while we were finally able to flag down the waiter and he insisted we hadn’t ordered burgers. Then he went back to the kitchen and came back to tell us that he did put the order in and they would be out soon. He also mentioned that sometimes people have to wait up to two hours for their food! After another 15 minutes we finally gave up on getting our food and started trying to get the check. After 10 minutes of trying to find the waiter we finally gave up and tallied our own bill. We eventually found the waiter and handed him cash and walked out. We won’t be back until they replace the kitchen staff and hire more or better waitstaff.

Ugh. Come on you guys. I want to love you! I want you to be our spot… and for a short while you were! I appreciate the changing table in the bathroom, that’s a huge plus and was one of my biggest complaints initially, aside from terrible service and delicious beer served in plastic cups. We’ve been on your patio twice in the past 6 days and I just don’t understand how you guys can go from being amazing during the Cables for Cause event to down right shitty during your Dog Happy Hour event last night.(Note: if you’re going to have an event geared towards dogs, please provide a water hose and vessel of some sort so our little friends can get a drink too, please see Lee Harvey’s in Dallas for reference) #1– Our server, whose name I do not know, was the most unfriendly person I have ever interacted with. She couldn’t have hated us and her job more than she did last night. Where the hell do you find these people?! This chick dropped off a beer and SPILLEDBEERFROMHERTRAYONMYMOM’S WHITESWEATERANDDIDN’T SAY A WORD!!! Dudes, that’s bad. But, Kayla is good, we’ve had her a couple times and she’s always nice and attentive. #2– Again, your menu contains more beer that you no longer serve than those that you have which is incredibly frustrating. #3– Because you did not have any beer that I wanted I ordered a vodka cocktail and was asked if I wanted a tall or short, I said short, and received a vodka cocktail in the same size cups that you serve your beer in(12oz, I’m guessing). If that is a ‘short,’ I’d hate to see what your ‘tall’ glasses. err. cups look like. If I wanted to drink 12 oz of club soda I would have ordered a friggin club soda. Tall or short does not equal double or single. Knowledge is power. #4– Your nachos are really good, most of the time, but not last night. Although I enjoy raw veggies I did not intend on eating raw bell pepper slices and nearly raw onions and would have preferred more cheese on the chips. We had to dig. but not with a fork and knife because they weren’t provided to us… but we had to dig for cheese. After digging through the dry chips and produce stand that was on our plate I had to steal baby wipes from my children because we didn’t have any napkins. Look, we’re going to come back because you’re right down the street and you have good beer(sometimes) and you have good nachos(sometimes. well, when there’s an abundance of cheese and sans mushrooms. WTF is up with that anyways, mushrooms on nachos??) But can you at least work on the service? You promoted an event and were packed and only had 2 servers and 1 bartender… Proper Preparation Prevents Piss Poor Performance.

Food and service were terrible! We waited almost 45 minutes for our food and had to get our own drink refills. Burgers were very dry and tasteless. We called the manager and he said he was«short handed» yet the waitresses were clustered at the bar talking. To add insult to the poor service we were charged an automatic 20% gratuity as we had 6 adults and 4 children. Would not recommend this place.

Being the glutton for punishment that I am, that or I am an absolute idiot(either applies here) I tried this place yet again. I had low expectations going into this place for the 4th time and wasn’t surprised to find out that even low expectations were too much. I ordered a beer and a burger. The beer came out rather fast, I just wish they had washed off the lipstick from the last person who used the mug. It was so fresh(lipstick) it was evident the glass never touched water. I waited for my waitress to reappear so I could send the beer back. Fast forward 30 minutes & no food or replacement beer. I went to the bar to ask about my waitress, beer and burger. My waitress left, apparently I came in at the end of her shift, my burger order was never put in… and they wanted me to pay for the beer. I pretty much told the bartender where to go & walked out. How this place is still in business is beyond me. The only logical explanation is that it’s a front for a money laundering operation.

We have visited many times. I want to like this place, but so far that is not the case. Service was horrible for a long time, but after our most recent visit, you can tell things(or perhaps management) has changed. Food is ok, nothing to write home about. Drink prices are fair and the atmosphere is ok. There was a guy playing acoustically that night and he was really good! We did our best to make sure he didn’t feel as though he was playing to people who appreciated his efforts. Worst part of our most recent evening was sitting at the bar when a couple came inside from the front. The REEKED of pot. I’m all about to each his own, but when your stenched is so strong that it’s offensive, especially to the members of law enforcement that were with us. Management should have intervened, in my opinion. These people were then fed lots of shots and went outside to smoke more. I know this because their stench was even worse when they returned. BLAH

Kelly the bartender was polite, helpful, attentive, cute, and friendly. The Moscow Mules were expensive($ 10) but delish. The chips, queso and salsa were very good but I would not venture as far as another reviewer to say it was ‘life changing’. We also ordered chicken finger, sweet pot fries and reg fries to go for our ride and they said the food tasted good. The bathrooms are cute with copper sinks and barndoor stalls.

So I am a little Confused Towers Tap House. You have a limited menu which is great. The Burgers take up the left half of the page. Which is Awesome!!! So why don’t you make your freaking HAMBURGERS Fresh! Who wants a $ 10 frozen Hamburger! I certainly don’t! If I want a frozen hamburger I can go to a fast food place! The last time I came hear half your wait staff had quit! Your Audio was messed up and it was either off or it was blaring! I chose not to do a review. A year later we come back in to give it another try. It’s dead in hear. No music, you could hear a pin drop! This is all before we get our food. On a positive note the wait staff is better than the last time. Overall still disappointing!

When are restaurant owners/managers going to learn!!! Yet another Adult/family establishment. Sorry but you can’t be both… make a choice, either a Taphouse thats adult oriented or a family restaurant, not both. The unruly kids drive out the REAL base of your biz. the adult crowd that not only buys food but also high profit alcohol. Kids keep us away, and you wonder why profits and business is down. Now to the food; poor, cold & about same quality as a McDonalds. Service; poor. Atmosphere; fine if you like a lot of noisy kids running around. All in all, just another restaurant trying to finds its way. Don’t count on this one being here long.

Been to this place 3 times now. 1st time was just out of the whim to check it out. The next 2 times was for a friend who was playing live music out there. I really like the concept of the place but each and every time I have went the service has been terrible. Maybe it’s because I was out on the patio each time but once it starts to get a little bit of a crowd, you’d better order a full bucket of beers because you’ll probably never see the server again. It’s a true buzzkill because having a large patio type bar is a growing trend around here and some folks are doing it right while some are doing it wrong. Even Katy Trail Ice House Outpost in Plano has better service. Expect it to be hot on the patio as well as there is not much air circulation out there. I wish they would at least install some fans and possibly some TVs. That way maybe we can watch the longest movie in the world while we wait for our drinks to come.

We stopped by on a Friday night. We were greeted immediately by a very pleasant hostess. She first brought us outside but we ended up sitting inside by the window facing hydrous. We really enjoyed our experience. The staff was very friendly and service was excellent. The food come out in a timely manner. They had a few games outside which the kids loved! They also had a very nice patio, we can not wait until the weather is warmer. We ordered the spinich dip as an appetizer. It was good but the serving was small. They give you way more chips then dip. We also had the blue cheese burger and mushroom burger, very flavorful and the bread was good. The sweet potato and regular fries were tasteful as well, stay away from the chips, they were too salty. The kids had a corndog, you honestly can’t mess that up. And the chicken tenders, it was a good size but lacked any flavor. The kids drenched it in ketchup. We will definitely be back. We really enjoyed the music and environment. The kids had a blast playing.

There has been a lot of changes since last year when we first visit this place. We came back because the weather is nice enough to sit outside and enjoy a drink. On Sundays they have $ 1 off Bloody Mary and $ 15 buckets. I came back here not expecting of any change. The counter service is gone, they now have wait staff to ease the pain of going back and fort to the stand to get more food or drinks. Our server was Michael, he was very attentive and did a really good job. I have yet to try the food again. If it’s better from the last time I might add another star with this review but that would be for next time.

Great Little Elm bar! Wonderful patio with pretty view. Great drink deals & happy hour all day Monday-Thursday. Location greatness makes up for average food level. Spinach dip was SUPER flavorful. Will definitely order again. Chili burger needed more chili. Southwest burger needed more guacamole.

They say it’s good to lead with the positive, so I’ll start there. The patio is REALLY cool! Really big and wide open and surrounded by the Hydrous water park, which I’m sure makes for some good entertainment when it’s open. The bathroom is astonishingly clean. They passed the«bring my kid’s food out ASAP» test, and you can get milk with a kid’s meal. The fish tacos were not bad, and their fries are above-average bar fries. Now for the bad. We were there for lunch on a Sunday and the place was full of families with kids. Being a family with a kid, that’s not the bad part. The bad part was the crazy curse word-ridden thug rap that was playing extremely loud when we first sat down. Honestly, even if I didn’t have a toddler with me, I would have found the excessive expletives blaring at 11:30 on a Sunday to be offensive. Luckily it was only one song, but if I had a kid old enough to understand the words I would have been pissed. The service was alright. Our server did fine; however, another server helped her run our food to us and seemed unhappy that I asked for a silverware roll. When my husband asked her for some napkins(mind you, he was never given a silverware roll of his own), she seemed waaaaay put off. Perhaps if silverware rolls were given to customers as a matter of course, we wouldn’t have to make such horribly demanding requests? Sheesh. Lastly, quite pricey for what you get. Two fish tacos and fries were $ 9.99. I could have gotten better fish tacos at Rusty for $ 2 a piece. And pretty much all of the burgers on the menu are $ 9.99. Way pricier than, say, Smashburger, and not nearly as good. Bloody mary tasted good but seemed to lack any alcohol. So the patio basically wins the big points here. Otherwise this place gets 2 stars at best.
