I thought I would try this place again cuz who doesn’t like subway when they need something fast. Well they failed again. At 6 after a long day at work they had no bread left. If this was my first time there no big deal but they have messed up so many times before. They don’t change their gloves after they touch the money either I had to say something because that’s just nasty. I will never go back to this location. Subway should take their name away from these people cuz they are destroying it.

Gotta say. I am a huge sucker for the Italian Cheese and Herbs bread thing they got. Plus, they are usually really cool with my «stack every type of meat» onto my sandwich type sandwich.

Tried out the online ordering for Subway last night(08÷28÷15) and I am not impressed. Togo’s and Quizno’s have a much better online ordering system. First off the Special Daily Footlong for $ 6.00 is not available online. Next there are only 2 options for cheese available online(white American and Monterey Cheddar shredded). No Provolone, swiss, etc. Anyway ordered a sandwich that included cheese thinking this would take care of the lack of cheese options. It did not. My sandwich was suppose to have provolone, and it came without any cheese. Luckily I had some in the fridge. Also both sandwiches we ordered were lacking in meat. Subway sandwiches are always light on the meat compared to some of their competitors, but these sandwiches were even lighter on the meat compared to other local Subways. I think I’ll forget the online ordering and go into the shop next time. Also will go to another Subway, like the one on South Vasco Rd or wait til I’m in Discovery Bay for a Subway. If I get a hankering for a deli sandwich I’ll go to Togo’s, Jersey Mike’s, even Safeway, or better yet Denica’s.

Not as great as most of the subways but the food is the same. The employees are better now buy still need work. I used to come here before but because of terrible customer service is stopped nut since it’s literally next to my house I decided to give them another try and they have gotten a lot better. That weird and strange atmosphere no longer exists. I feel like a welcomed customer now.

not bad of place, they just need to be better educated on what is going on whitin company…; store still has Jared’s poster in window and when were asked if he still represents Subway, they said«yes»…

Subway sandwich shops are like Starbucks coffee shops. They’re everywhere! When one wants a salad sandwich on the cheap, this is the place! I always get a smile from the personnel, always get what I’m asking for and the lines are not horrendous like the other local establishments.

This is one of my favorite subway locations. Right next to lots of other shopping so I can refuel while I’m running errands. Couple of Haircut places are close by, so is Home Depot, Safeway and even a Baskin Robbins! What’s even better are the couple that run the place — very attentive and careful with the way they make your sub.

I like Subway sandwiches. I’ve never had a a bad experience with them. They’re just a typical, consistent chain sandwich shop. Food is always yummy. and service is neither here nor there, neither outstanding nor horribly rude, nothing stands out about it either way. However: reading all these horrible reviews of this particular store, I felt compelled to share my pleasant experience this evening. Hopefully it will convince at least one person that it’s possible to get good service here. My sandwich maker was the tall lanky guy described in other reviews. No, he wasn’t overly friendly but he was most certainly accommodating, looked me in the eye, listened to my specific instructions, and was patient and caring with the handling and preparation of my sandwich. He was polite, asked me if everything about the sandwich looked ok before he folded it and thanked me at the end of the transaction. I should also note it must have been nearing the end of his day– I went in around 2030 or 2045, when a lot of people would tend to get impatient. Long story short, good overall experience at this location and great sandwich. I will go back.

This Subway is close to home, so I’m here about once every other week. I completely agree with the reviewers who feel the ‘customer service’ here is non-existent. These people are SURLY. Every time I’ve been in the atmosphere is hostile and strange. Last week when I asked for a veggie on flatbread– but wanted the bread un– toasted. The female worker told me «No, no it’s cold». Ok… but the reason I did not want it heated was because I wanted mayo & warm mayo is gross. I figured it pointless to argue. She proceeded to toast the bread and cheese and then squirt mayo directly ONTOP of the melted cheese! «Delicious». Today my bag was handed to me with a long hair hanging off of it! Yuck. Sorry guys, you don’t make it my way and you top it with grump sauce– won’t be back!

I eat at this Subway about once a week as it’s right on my way to work. Although there are about 2 – 3 other of the same franchise on my path, I like this one the most. It’s not the best Subway I’ve ever been to, but its for sure not the worst! CONS Like other reviews have said, the staff often gives off the vibe of not wanting to be there. They can be slow, taking their time to even acknowledge a customer. They have never been rude to me, but certainly don’t go out of their way to be nice. I haven’t had too much problem with the«language barrier», but I have witnessed others who find it difficult to communicate. It’s not the service that brings my in… Also, the seating arrangement is a little awkward. The 2-seating tables are located in the pathway to the restroom, giving them a very confined feeling. I sometimes feel bad taking up a 4-seat table when I’m by myself, especially when all the others are full with similar lunch-grabbing patrons, but I don’t like the feeling of being closed off to half the restaurant. With the odd shape to the room, I don’t think there’s anything they can do to change this. The bathroom has a very«old gas station» vibe — no mirror and oddly covered scribbles on the wall. The toilet is worn but not necessarily dirty. PROS This place is CLEAN(with the slight exception of the bathroom). Every time I’m in there, someone is cleaning something. Not just the tables, but the window sills, the soda machine area, etc. The workers change gloves when working on a new sandwich. The chips are always fully stocked, and arranged and organized very nicely. They don’t skimp when it comes to sandwich ingredients, not to say they’ll load you up, but they won’t short change you. Their bread tastes fresh, and their ingredients taste crisp. THAT’S what keeps me coming here. The sandwiches are good! Plus, I’ve never gotten a flat soda :)

After many years of hating Subway, I gave Subway another chance(at a different location). I probably won’t return to this place. The man making my sandwich couldn’t understand me, and I couldn’t understand him. BUT, that’s not what bothered me, I noticed that he didn’t take off that plastic glove when I paid. What’s the point of wearing one if you’re going to make sandwiches and handle money? I hope he washes or gets a new glove when he uses the restroom.

well I was thinking of this as I was sitting there eating my flatbread turkey sandwich. my points for rating it 2… 1 it was cluttered inside.(there was trash on the floor, not really a clean place) 2 no one seemed to care about that fact. can I recommend this place? well likely not. really the only reason I even ate there, was because I was on foot(waiting for tires at Americas tires, great place, see that review…) and I wanted something fairly«healthy» and subway does allow you to select what you put on your sandwich. next time, though, I think I will just eat at Safeway. they have a great deli, and it is in the same shopping center.

Clean. Well stocked/fresh ingredients. Better than most Subways… however… the employees NEVER smile. NEVER speak in English unless they have to. Such an unpleasant experience to have 2 women employees talking in a foreign language as if you weren’t there. Oh they know you are there because they are making your sandwich but still holding a personal conversation. I have no idea why I continue to support this location. Same situation every visit. I think I need to go somewhere else for a change. Not cool to speak a foreign language in front of English-only speaking customers. Lord knows there is plenty of time between customers to talk it up.

Today I decided I am never coming back to this Subway again. Reasons: 1. I have been a fairly regular customer for the last 3 years and the people behind the counter have never even attempted to say hello or acknowledge me. 2. The tall lanky dude behind the counter is indifferent and could care less about me visiting except to take my money. 3. They are interested in putting as few things on the sandwiches as possible to maximize profits. 4. The sandwiches taste like cardboard, even with mustard and peppers and every other taste enhancer added. 5. When they take my money when I pay, they never even bother to look me in the eye, smile, and say thanks. No thanks to this. I’m going somewhere else.

Subway is Subway wherever you go. So what matters is the employees and service. I am pretty sure all the Livermore Subways are owned by the same family… And they’re all so cheap. You ask for extra olives/pickles/onions and you get what’s considered by most to be a normal portion. Really, what bothers me most about this Subway is the stinginess of the employees.

This used to be my favorite place… but! I noticed an odd trend. Subway is so careless(this goes for multiple locations I’ve visited) that they have their cheese trays right next to the meat. Now what happens is… its not necessarily the employees faults, but without thinking due to the arrangement of where the food is, if other sandwiches are made before mine when they grab meat to place on a sandwich, the juices from that will«drip» over the cheese trays which are often carelessly not covered. Thus, I can’t recount how many visits in the past I would receive what I expected to be a vegetarian(NOMEAT) sandwich and it had the«juice/flavor» of meat all over it.

So, that none of have thought I must have lost my mind… I MUST have been starving, cuz that sammie was nasty the next day. The meat was of horrid quality, smelt funny, and tasted worse. I still give them props for the fresh veggies, and friendly service, though.

My post, is in support of the original reviewer. I have a dislike, at least a sincere disagreement with tightfisted approach found in retail businesses; whether it is hotels, groceries, or restaurants. A restaurant is particularly noteworthy where the customer is vulnerable(being hungry) but holds money while the proprietor is needing to unload perishables. So I find empathy with any customer who encounters a place that tries to charge for water or worse close restrooms to save a few nickels. The real truth doesn’t matter. If a place hides water cups AND doesn’t provide towels in the restrooms, it will be interpreted as «being cheap». If customers can’t clean their hands, what about the employees!(«Oh I thought you meant bottled water» is heavy-handed) Our first and only visit came in the spring of 2008. We had walked across the lot from Lowe’s where I just spent many $$$ on carpeting for a house we no longer lived in.(We had just relocated). So I was in a *big* mood to save money. I do remember having communication difficulties getting my sandwich order across. I remember the lady staring at us, the narrow hall to the restroom, partially blocked by the chip stand. I can understand we were probably not fans of hers since I managed to feed my wife, two-year old child, and self on a single $ 5 ham/cheese sandwich, no chips, and a small soda with refills. This was during a time when gasoline was $ 4 gallon. I’m sure they saw a lot of people like us — out saving money where ever, when ever, how ever. It’s not about Subway being charitable to us. It’s quite another thing coming up with clever tactics to work against customers — and it is a losing strategy. As Unilocal’s description aptly puts: «Meh. I’ve experienced better.»
