1÷6÷15 Stopped by today and this location is closed. Very sad. Great food. I hope their other locations survive.

Heard good things about this place from people and wanted to try it myself. When looking for the place its very small so keep a close eye for it. Ordered the Hole Mole Al Pastor bowl and was charged for a Al Pastor burrito, since it the girls fault I ended up getting my bowl a bit cheaper. Once I got my bowl I added lime, and hot sauce, mixed it up and digged in and it was good. But I seriously think it needs a special sauce or something to give it a better taste. Next time I will be ordering tacos.

Solid, tasty food, but terribly dated and run down looking interior. Good for a quick Mexican food fix for those looking for a burrito or taco. Location: situated in between See’s Candy and Ecco Pizza, Holé Molé – at least this location – is a whole in the wall type place. It’s small, almost hidden away, and the inside eating area wasn’t that clean. Interior: is small and has 4 tables inside. The counter, tables and chairs look dated, faded, and run down. Looks like original equipment that came with the place when it opened – 15−20 years ago. Table tops hadn’t been wiped in a while, there was food remnants on the one I sat down at and all the other tables too. I found it puzzling that the woman who took my order came out from behind the counter to mop the floor without bothering to wipe down the tables or sweep first. Food: actually quite tasty. I had an Al Pastor burrito and a fish taco. The burrito had Spanish rice and cabbage inside, in addition to the Al Pastor. About a third of it was the meat and about half of it was the rice. Meat was flavorful and perfectly cooked, and the rice was as well. The fish taco was pretty good too. The fish portion was good sized and fried up to the perfect crispness. Although I’m not impressed by the facilities, I could see myself coming back because the food is good. Food wise it is similar to Great Mex Grill, better than Chronic Tacos, Taco Beach and Super Mex. Price wise it seems to be cheaper than all of them.

Tacos are now $ 1.15 on Tuesdays instead of $ 1, but it’s okay! Still worth it!!! I forever love Hole Mole’s fish tacos. The fish is so perfectly fried with the right amount of sauce and veggies. Refillable salted tortilla chips(dine in only) for only about $ 1. Salsa bar is on the side and the salted jalapeño peppers are THEBEST! I no longer can eat these fish tacos without them, they are amazing! Some are really spicy but it just depends on the one you grab lol. All of them are good though, heheh My boyfriend really likes the potato tacos, I think they’re not even like 70/80cents? Super cheap but pretty good. I’ve never gotten their carne asada or any other tacos because I can’t stay away from the fish tacos, but my friends who’ve tried the others say they’re just as good :)

So I’m addicted to Hole Mole fish tacos. Every time I’m in the LBC, I have to get my tacos. Taco Tuesday is the most ideal/cheap for $ 1. They’re like $ 1.50 at regular times. I’ve tried the potato and chicken tacos, and they just don’t have the same effect on me. Fish tacos are definitely recommended. Make sure you add lime and Tapatio and you’re good to go.

Fish Tacos are the bomb at Hole Mole. The fish is not too overly breaded and is nice and crispy straight from the deep fryer. I usually add a little Tipatio and the house hot sauce for that extra kick. The inside of the restaurant is super tiny and able to fit only a handful of people but luckily they have seating outside. I would highly suggest grabbing some of those Yellow grilled chilies covered in lemon pepper and eating them with your fish tacos. If you don’t see any make sure to ask the workers and they will cook some up right away. If your in the mood for some excellent fish tacos this is the place! Another good thing about this location is they have plenty of parking out in the back.

This was my first experience with Hole Mole, ever. I had heard good things about this place and I wasn’t disappointed(with the food anyway). It was Taco Tuesday so I ordered four tacos: al pastor, shrimp, and fish(My friend messed up the order and I ended up with carnitas instead of shrimp). It’s hard to find a place with good al pastor, but Hole Mole, oh! I was quite satisfied. The fish tacos on the other hand were not anything in my opinion. It was fried fish and there was a lot of air on the inside and not too much meat. The carnitas were really good but the al pastor was my favorite. In terms of the facilities, it’s jammed into a small location on a busy street with a lot of other food places. The parking in the back was really tight due to the high density development. There was a severe lack of seating, especially given that it was a taco tuesday. Since CSULB is just down the street there might be quite a lot of students at any given time of the day. Overall, the food carried the day and outshone the lack of seating and the wait time(about 15 – 120 minutes). If you don’t mind a moderate wait and love good food this is for you!

The employees aren’t paying attention. I ordered 4 tacos and only got 2, then I had to remind them I was missing two and it took a while to get them. Also some girl that supposedly worked there was running her mouth to the workers since she was off work. Annoying. I wanted to slap her, just because you’re not on the clock doesn’t mean you don’t represent the business. This place needs better management to check it’s employees. 3 stars for the tacos themselves.

Hole Mole never fails me when I visit Long Beach. I always get their fish and shrimp tacos whenever I’m down there. I usually order around 5 tacos and it’s always a little under $ 10 which is a great deal! The service is also really fast so it’s a great place to get a quick snack. The tacos itself are some of the best seafood tacos I’ve ever had, that I was shocked to find out that they were a chain restaurant with multiple locations since their food tasted so authentic. Unlike most places, their fish and shrimp tacos aren’t soggy or soft. Instead, they’re fried and crunchy, almost like tempura. The tacos are also filled up to full capacity so you’re getting the most out of each taco you order!

I realize I’m writing about an institution that many people from the Long Beach area and CSULB already know damn well. But the point is: it’s hard NOT to talk about a damn good product, especially when it’s as below the radar as Hole Mole. First off, to the gringos, it’s pronounced«Holy Mo-leah.» Now that that’s been clarified, I actually find the name a bit apt, given that this Hole Mole is located in a bit of a hole(pronounced«whole» this time) in the wall. You can easily drive by it or get easily frustrated if you don’t know that there’s more parking in the rear of the building. The best aspect that really makes Holy Mole stand out from, say, a Rubio’s or a Baja Fresh, is that they have a legitimate happy hour special and legitimate tacos. If you go after 7pm on most weekdays, you’ll be able to take advantage of one of Long Beach’s worst kept secrets. Basically, various tacos(al pastor, carne asada, fish, carnitas, etc.) and taquitos go on a fire sale. The prices are around a buck and some change, so it’s a great chance to load up on the good stuff coming back from work, school, or the gym. The style is more homestyle Mexican, so there’s a lot of discretion in how the presentation is and the quantity of meat in each serving. You can tell the fucks run low as it gets closer to closing time… which means good things for consumers. One thing that I noticed is that there’s a self-serve salsa and soda fountain area, and an eating bench that can cause a bit of a traffic jam. It’s a bit of a bottleneck there, but given how small the restaurant actually is, you kinda overlook that. The fact that you’re getting a great deal and awesome food is another factor in your being quick to forgive the cramped space. If possible, I would suggest separating the soda fountain or the salsa bar and putting it on the opposite side of the dining area to try to free up the space there a little bit. If you pick up your order from the pick-up counter, you also have the option of getting roasted chilies at that point from a small container that the cooks leave out for your own benefit. These things are an often ignored state secret, and as far as I know, a fairly unique ingredient. You can add them to your tacos or taquitos and, when combined with the salsas, you can truly elevate the happy hour tacos that you are about to consume. You’ll literally think to yourself, «Holy moly! Why haven’t I thought about coming here more often!» If you haven’t been to Hole Mole yet, make a point to do so soon… like tonight. Just be prepared that they are small on the inside, so be prepared to just order your items to go, eat at a bench, or eat outside at one of the tables facing the perennially busy Bellflower Boulevard. Many of us here know that tacos in Southern California are indeed, one of the best street foods out there, after all.

You can’t do any better then a tray full of $ 1 tacos on Tuesday! There is outdoor seating which is nice and there is plenty of parking in the lot behind the building. Salsa is always on point and the service is quick. I definitely love this location compared to other hole mole places. Their other food items are also cheap and delish. And, they have fried ice cream.

Do yourself a favor and order fish tacos, many of them. They’re known for the fish tacos, which consist of battered and fried fish wrapped in two corn tortilas and slathered in creamy sauce with cabbage slivers. Nothing else on the menu comes close.

YUMMM. if I’m craving tacos, this is where I’m usually wanting to go. I went with my bf last weekend and we ordered fish tacos, carne asada tacos, and the pork ones(forgot what their called) –fish tacos: THEBEST. I’m just going to get a ton of these next time bc they are my fav! –carne asada tacos: pretty good too. I liked that the meat wasn’t too salty. –pork tacos: I did not like these bc they were so salty! :(I don’t recommend getting. The food comes out pretty quick and you can help yourselves to the different types of salsa and hot sauces. I recommend trying hole mole out. And I heard fish tacos r only $ 1 on tuesdays!

Cheap, delicious, and fast meal… what else can you really ask for? They have about three or four locations in Long Beach and after eating at three locations I can say the quality is all the same and the service has always been nice. This location in particular is smaller but they do have outdoor seating for those who want some sun. Great plates and great tacos! I love the shrimp and fish tacos and they have an unlimited salsa bar so enjoy!

I’ve been on a weird taco craze lately and this place seriously fulfilled my cravings. I’ve always heard about this place because all of my friends at cal state long beach go here but NOBODYTOLDMEHOWGOODITWAS!!! Am I the only person who thinks this place is amazing?! I was a bit nervous when I first arrived at the spot but reminded myself that sometimes the best places are hole in the wall places. I couldn’t decide what to order because their menu was whatever and their descriptions just didn’t sound all crazy and yummy — but then again it is just a taco shop. I decided to go with my shrimp taco craving and a carnitas premium taco(that’s not what it’s called but that’s what I see it as) and just threw in a crunchy potato taco because it was only .49 cents. They had a little tiny salsa bar tucked in the corner and being the sauce queen, I grabbed four containers of salsa and some radish. The food came out quickly and I dumped my first container of hot sauce and lemons onto my shrimp taco. One word –aaaaamaaaazzinggg. The carnitas taco was my favorite. Their carnitas is so juicy and greasy– up my alley! And it came with cilantro, onions and guac with some beans. I didn’t realize there were beans on my taco so I just picked them all off(I hate beans). The tortilla was soft and crispy at the same time. The taco also came on a bed of tortilla chips. The potato taco was good but I was already stuffed from my other two tacos that I only ate half. Although the potato taco was pretty good I wouldn’t order it again– I love meats too much! I’ve been craving hole mole everyday since. It’s a curse finding these great restaurants because they make me go off track from my diets and burn a hole in my wallet but who doesn’t love eating?!

Hole Mole is the Long Beach version of Rubio’s. They are big on fish tacos, but also other Mexican food as well! Tacos, burritos, nachos, quesadillas… your typical SoCal Mexican foods lol. I like the fish tacos as well as the shrimp tacos… the fish and shrimp are pretty big for the little corn tortilla it is placed on. The rice and beans that I usually add on to the meal is pretty standard. The salsa bar is pretty good… I love the dark red sauce! Its yummy and spicy. This is like the 3rd Hole Mole location, and its pretty small compared to the ones I’ve been to before(one on 4th, and another on Wardlow). They have a few tables in inside, but for a group of 3 or more you would need to sit outside where they have a few tables. Oh also! Not sure if it applied to this location but I know Hole Mole does $ 1 Taco Tuesday, which includes their fish, chicken, carne asada and potato tacos… sadly it doesn’t include the shrimp. Boo.

Bellflower Hole Mole is better than other Hole Mole I’ve been to; yes, it is pretty small and do get crowded but I feel like it’s more relaxing here. I think it’s the little hut and chairs outside that are facing the street lol. But, I love love love their tacos(esp shrimp) and burritos here! The customer service is great, and we also lucked out when it comes to certain hours that gets crowded due to CSULB students and others. Haven’t really experience a long line for TT, so that’s really cool! Also, their horchata drink is so gooodddd! Never really tried their other menu but we usually order shrimp burrito and all tacos(asada, carnitas, and chicken, Ensenada [fish and shrimp]) Usually just comes with onions and cilantro, but it’s okay, the salsas makes up for it. The fish and shrimp Ensenada are so delissh! *I thought I’ve been ordering tacos but it’s Ensenada, so hey, learned something new ;D lol. Always comes with fresh shredded cabbage, tomatoes and onions! **5pm ’til closing time: –12 tacos(asada, chicken, carnitas, fish or pastor) –32 oz. of rice –32 oz. of beans –4 bags of chips ALLFOR $ 20! They also have late night fish fest and senior plate deal!

Good stuff. I guess you could call these street tacos since you can eat them out on the street. Well, almost. There is very limited dining inside, with tables and chairs outside on Bellflower Blvd. Short and sweet: Cheap vegetarian crunchy potato and bean tacos(fifty cents each, they are small) Tasty and spicy salsa Friendly service Chips are 99 cents and come with free refills(along with the salsa bar) The exterior may be a bit boring, but the food is cheap and yummy. Not the kind of stuff I would want to eat on a regular basis, but one of those junk food treats that hits the spot! Street parking and parking in the lot behind the restaurant/strip mall.
