My husband and I went here after this was referred to us by one of the staff of Alta Maria Wineries. We initially liked the place. There are outside seating which I really liked. The building itself looked posh and more high end compared the ones beside it. There’s a good number of people already there when we came. We went up to ask about their wine tasting and the guy just handed us out the list and poured us a glass. No introductions, no whatsoever. I never really enjoyed my experience here, something my husband will agree with too. It was rushed and impersonal. Good business place. Poor customer service. Or maybe it’s just us???

Decent wine, not the best in los olivos, but totally worth it on a nice day for sitting outside in the beautiful patio/garden area. So lovely and relaxing! And the people who work there were super nice and welcoming.

I loved their wine. They had a beautiful Sauvignon blanc and rose that I couldn’t resist. The space is gorgeous and the lady behind the pour fun and engaging and knowledgeable. Give them a try… you might be hooked.

I’m a HUGE fan of Epiphany Cellars. I make it a habit of asking people who work at other wineries which wineries they’re fans of and their recs. I figure not only do they live in the area(and I don’t), they also know their stuff. I’m always curious to know where they would get their wines. This was highly recommended to us. The pourers knew so much about their wines and were really friendly. The wines were the best I tasted my entire weekend. I was a huge fan of their Rose but also really loved their Gypsy Blend and their Pinots. My friend ended up joining their wine club(which has a ton of perks) because we loved it so much. We’ll def be back!

I don’t understand the negative ratings of this winery. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and the atmosphere is modern and comfortable. The wine is great, and unlike some wineries, all have a distinctive taste — both the reds and the whites.(Don’t forget to let the reds breathe before you pour at home). We’ve visited after joining the club about 4 or 5 times, and it is always a pleasant experience. On two separate occasions we have brought friends here, and they both joined the wine club. We love this place!

A bit of a hit and miss environment… Epiphany is linked to Fess Parker… So…nice to get a comp tasting and discount on merchandise… however indifference on service tends to create a bypass visit…

We are members at Fess Parker, so we decided to try it’s sister winery. We did not like Epiphany wines as well as the Fess Parker wines but they are average. Our server did not know the wines which made it difficult to get questions answered. Perhaps we had a server in training. In any event more training is in order.

Epiphany is a most-go-to for me when I am in Los Olivos. I love the wines and also really enjoy all the staff that work there. I have been there only 4 times total over the course of the year, and the staff consistently remembers me when I am. Even when they do get busy, they are friendly and welcoming. This weekend we were able to enjoy the outside wine bar that was set-up so we could do the tasting out on the comfy couches. If you are not a member, you should join as it is great deal and tasty wine!

This was my second visit to Epiphany. I decided to give it another chance. Both times the service was awful. Rude people and not welcoming. This was on a Thursday too. Not even busy.

Attended a private tasting here with a group of friends this weekend. Had a great experience. Brandon is very knowledgeable about the wines, as well as the local area. Comfortable, very upscale atmosphere, with a great heated outdoor patio. We had fantastic pizzas served fresh and hot from the wood burning oven. They have bathrooms right on the property, which I understand are scarce in Los Olivos. Their wines are outstanding! Especially the Revelation and Grenache, both 2012s. Don’t miss Epiphany! And then go visit the Fess Parker winery just down the road. To complete the Fess Parker experience, stay at the Fess Parker Wine Country Inn just 2 blocks from Epiphany tasting room. You won’t be disappointed by any of these places.

Our last tasting on our trip and yep, we took your *very* last 3 bottles of Counoise. Late on a Friday, tasting while the room’s activity level built and the atmosphere turned towards a party… a great close to our vacation. We finished with an impromptu dessert wine from a half bottle that was like drinking port with liquid cigar and chocolate — haunting, what in the world was that?

The wife and I weren’t huge fans of the wine, but I must give four stars for the ambiance and service. The wine bar has a cool and clean, inviting modern lounge feel with a huge enclosed backyard for cooler days and nights, all with the tangerine color theme. And Latoya(Miss Jackson if you’re nasty) was super attentive, friendly, and sweet, helping us plan our day.

Got to say that the place is rather surprisingly in Los Olivios– with it’s modern decorations and fancy fancy. However, it fits in great! The staff were really kind and knowledgeable and most importantly– Understanding! My girlfriend that was with me had never been wine tasting before and she was giving me grief all day for pouring out tastings– so you can imagine how she was at our 6th winery(here). She kept asking for more pours and being overall drunk. Staff took it on stride, didn’t give her anymore and kept her calm and helped get us a cab back. Now! I was sober, so I got to enjoy the wines and I have to say a few of the reds really impressed me. Overall, fantastic experience.

Came here with a work colleague who was a wine member for a few drinks and was not impressed at all. The person pouring the wine did an awful job of explaining what I was drinking and to be honest seemed quite intoxicated. It’s one thing to sample the wine with customers its a whole different issue to be drunk while doing it. He poured the basic wine and did not offer to pour any of the wine club member items which annoyed my colleague. Thankfully we moved on to other tasting rooms that were much better. I hope the owners address this poor behavior as they could end up losing members or turning people away.

A nice modern style tasting room located right in the town part of Los Olivos. The wines are delicious and the atmosphere is very welcoming. I like to do the tasting right at the bar but you can also buy a bottle and go sit out on their patio furniture in the lawn out front. The staff is very friendly and willing to answer all of your wine questions. Clean restrooms are located just around the side of the building, you just have to request the key from someone inside. If you are a member at Fess Parker, you and your party taste here for free and you get the member price on bottles.

Was just in Los Olivos and stopped in to Epiphany. It’s sad to say that over the years Epiphany seems to have become less personable and more… corporate…feeling. While their tasting room is beautiful and they have a remarkable outdoor facility, I just am disappointed at the quality of their wines the last few shipments/visits and the experiences that I have had in their tasting room. The only thing that keeps me coming back for the time being is their Grenache Blanc.

While visiting Santa Ynez recently, my friend and I decided to walk into the Epiphany tasting room after its moden interior and clean appealing design caught our eye. It was rather chaotic and busy and I noticed the workers behind the counter were quite testy due to the amount of people that were trying to purchase wine or start a tasting. I eventually worked my way up to the front to request their standard tasting for $ 12.00. It was a lovely day so we opted to do our tasting outside, where comfortable seating is arranged throughout the front yard area, under shady trees and open to a nice pleasant breeze. Be warned, this is no boutique tasting room in Napa, where your wine is served to you. After tastings are ordered inside, it is then your responsibiity to carry 6 wine glasses on a slippery-slide long rectangular metal tray, to your outside seating area. It amazed me how I made it down the walkway in my high heels, without slipping or dropping my entire flight of wines. The wines were nice but not exceptional. My favorite was the«Gypsy» which was still a rather dry red but the fruitiest of them all. I ended up purchasing a bottle due its decent price point of $ 24.99.
