First off, let me say that if you haven’t eaten off of the menu inside that is in full chinese, you are missing the best part of this place. Their americanized food is pretty good, not the best in town, but they have amazing authentic chinese dishes. Having been to china on two separate occasions now, it is safe to say this place excels in replicating the flavor of the food I had there. Unfortunately I cant read chinese so I either ask what each item is or just order something random and see what I get. I have never been dissapointed, and have tried the pork belly, the minced pork and tofu dish, a delicious beef soup and a few appetizers. I highly recommend going inside to see the foreign menu and ordering from it!

First of all the cashier is not very friendly to say the least and wasn’t helpful at all. Then the food took forever to come out, when it finally did I had faith that it would be fresh and tasty but as my food was given to me my hopes and dreams were crushed. The food was old and bland and tasted like a horses anus that was dried into jerky. I was furious I went to the bathroom to piss in anger and scream and cry at the God who betrayed my faith in humanity. As I was washing my hands I noticed there was no soap and I mean there was no soap container or anything, no evidence that soap ever existed in this establishment(plus the bathroom smelled like rancid diarrhea). I asked the female i was with to look in the girls bathroom to investigate for any evidence of soap being present and she returned with a grim face and told a ghastly tale of what she saw in that bathroom that is to grim to be retold on Unilocal. As I continued eating my food cautiously(I was really hungry and the cashier disappeared after giving us our food so I couldn’t ask for a return and I don’t like to waste money) I saw the cook appear and watch him go into the bathroom in which he proceeded to blow his anus out into the toilet For around 13 mins after he left I walked into the bathroom just to check to see if he washed his hands before returning to the kitchen and what I saw still haunts me to this day, a rancid stew of excrement left unflushed in the toilet, a sink that was dry and worse of all still no soap or hand sanitizer or anything that could clean a COOKSHANDS after what he did to that poor toilet. Overall worst food I’ve ever spent money on. Tastes awful, disgusting bathrooms and staff, over priced for the 3rd world flavorless items they consider edible, and the staff is rude.

Food not fresh! We had tomatoes with eggs. The tomatoes tasted mold! The dish probably had only one egg. If you ordered from the regular menu maybe ok but we came here for real Chinese food. They have a Chinese menu but most items are not available. Too bad! Another Chinese restaurant will be rejected by us.

Pretty damn good Chinese food. I got orange chicken with fried rice and a side of lo mein for $ 14.50. A little on the expensive side but I didn’t eat it all and had enough for another meal later on in the day. The only thing that wasn’t that great was the fried rice… it was a little on the bland side. Other than that, it was delicious.

3D Chinese Food!!! DElicious, DEPendable and DElivery. Yes, always tasty, always on time and accurate and they deliver. Fast service whether you pick up(eat in) or ask for delivery. King Pao Chicken is great, as are Szechuan, Hunan and Curry dishes. Choice of rice is nice and mention and show the free«egg roll» offer on Unilocal and get a free one. Best I’ve had in Lubbock. Spicy is hot but not too hot. Behind the Whataburger next to Beef OBradys on 4th.

I called in an order of sweet and sour chicken, and cheese wontons and they had it ready in 9 minutes. Portion sizes were awesome and lasted me 3 meals. Everything tasted amazing and it was all fresh! The prices are definitely very reasonable as well. My new favorite Chinese food place in Lubbock!

I am having a hard time finding really amazing Chinese food in Lubbock. This place delivers and my husband really likes it. To me this is what I expected, just normal Chinese delivery. They have good size portions and got the food to our house in good timing. Within 30 minutes. I want to try more menu items to explore this establishment more.

Excellent food but the fried rice didn’t taste right and the soup chips also tasted funny otherwise exceptional food would decently recommend

I’m not that into Chinese food before until my friends took me to China express,I had sweet and sour chicken, which was really good, then I tried other Chinese restaurants, don’t know why, just don’t like it, and I made China Express my best choice for Chinese food. And the lunch special is really good deal!

While I am still getting used to the difference between the Chinese food in hometown Austin and in Lubbock, I thought China Express was quite good. My sister and I shared the Szechuan chicken and fried rice, fried dumplings, and pork egg rolls. The Szechuan was good, but could have used a dash more of garlic or salt. We both really liked the dumplings and the egg rolls as they were both very crispy and tasted great. I will go back to this restaurant in the future, but perhaps I will try something new next time!

This is the best Chinese food in Lubbock! I’ve tried a few other places around town and China Express wins, no contest. I’ve only been 3 times in the last 9 months, but the lady who takes the orders at the front always remembers me and greets me like a good friend. It’s just a really nice touch and their customer service definitely won me over. I’ve ordered a few things here and all of them have been very good and made fresh. With Chinese food(or really, «Americanese» food), I notice that what is called szechuan chicken in one place may not be remotely the same dish at another, so I have ordered one or two dishes where I received something completely different than what I expected, but it’s all been delicious. Honestly, that’s my fault for not asking about a dish before ordering. I’ve had the Kung Pao, Szechuan chicken, and most recently the sesame chicken. Portions are quite large and can be split between 2 – 3 meals. You definitely get a good value here. Highly recommend!

This will be my new go-to Chinese place. I ordered sweet and sour chicken for pick up and it was ready as soon as I arrived. When I got home to eat I was amazed at the portion size. I will be able to eat this for dinner tonight and lunch tomorrow. Everything was hot and fresh. Chicken wasn’t over cooked and they give a big tub of sweet and sour sauce. Will return frequently.

Tried again today with my wife. She had the Fried Chicken with 5 Seasonings, I had the Hot & Spicy Szechuan Chicken, and we shared a small order of Zhong Dumplings. Everything came very promptly and was a good portion size. My chicken was pretty spicy, it had chicken, peanuts, green onions, LOTS of dried red chiles, and a light sauce. My wife’s chicken was very tasty with some unique flavors from the spices, though it was a bit salty. Both entrees came with fried rice. The dumplings were very good with a pork filling and coated with a chile oil sauce with some green onions and other spices on top. All of these items were ordered from there authentic menu. It was all very good.

I’m so glad that my fiancé found this place! It’s a small restaurant, but the food is authentic Szechuan food. Ask for their Chinese menu! I can’t read Chinese, but the employee at the register described each of the dishes to us, and we only ordered dishes from that menu. They had chicken feet, cold noodles, steamed fish, and tons of other authentic Chinese dishes. We ordered a cold yellow noodle dish, and it was spicy and delicious! I’d definitely get that dish again, and it’s really good as leftovers because you don’t need to warm it up. We also ordered their Szechuan beef dish that came in this huge glass bowl. On their regular menu, I believe it’s called boiled beef or something like that under their specialty dishes. It had napa cabbage, chili, spices, and tons of chili oil. Both of these dishes had a lot of oil in it, which is how Szechuan food typically is made, so if you don’t like spicy and oily dishes, I’d recommend trying something off of their regular menu. Love this place and I’ll definitely be back!

Had lunch there today, thought it was very good, only judging and placing a review based on one dish; had the sweet-and-sour chicken, it was very good, good portion size, price was reasonable, would recommend.

Great new restaurant that just opened, offering a much more authentic take on Chinese food than your typical American style Chinese food. Awesome food, service, and friendly service! Finally a decent Chinese place in lubbock.
