The Lubbock standard for catfish. Paired with their in-house hush puppies and some fried shrimp, you can’t go better.

Walked in and could not find Dimba. But the staff played Marco Polo until my food was ready. I came back again that evening for a quick game of Duck Duck Goose. So satisfied that I got to be the duck. Thanks again Team Dimba!

Great place! Dimba’s is a great fish/chicken place. The corn meal coated fish is fantastic and the chicken is too. The slaw and potato salad are tasty and fresh tasting. The puffs round out the meal. Fries were crisp outside yet soft in the middle… simple, and homey. The service was friendly and ordering was quick. There is always a wait at Dimba’s, but it is worth it! To sum up, great food, great service, bit of a wait…

I will start by saying the food here is very good, unfortunately the atmosphere is not. The staff is not very friendly and the décor is nonexistent. I would eat their food again, but only as take out.

As another reviewer stated, this is the best catfish in Lubbock. What I like is that you get a lot of meat. At so many catfish places you get more batter than meat. Not so at Dimba’s. The fries are good, too. But I’m a ketchup snob and dislike that they give you Hunt’s, which tastes horrible. But it works out because I usually get take-out to eat in my office, and I keep Heinz packets in my desk. :) I’ve had the chicken but didn’t care for it. The staff at the location on 4th& Frankford are friendly, and I highly recommend this location.

Dimba’s can fry you up some good fish and chicken. Service is always nice, but not the fastest — they take their time to care for the fish and chicken as they put it in the deep fryer. Always hot. Sometimes they’re a little skimpy on giving out their tarter sauce… but it is good tarter sauce. It does have a unique taste — I can’t put my finger on it but it does taste better than most.

Dimba’s has the best catfish in Lubbock, hands down.(Not that there are a ton of competitors in this area, but of the ones I have tried, Dimba’s real only other competitor is River Smiths.)
